Today at Ignite we announce the general availability of SharePoint agents, enabling users to turn SharePoint sites and documents into scoped agents that are subject matter experts for your business needs. These agents empower everyone to quickly surface insights, scale expertise, and make informed decisions.
For a limited time, every employee in your organization can experience agents created in SharePoint to get the answers they need.
Starting January 6, if your organization has at least 50 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses, any employee in the organization will be able to create, share, and interact with SharePoint agents. Qualifying organizations will receive 10,000 queries per month through June 30, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for everyone in your organization to experience SharePoint agents to enhance knowledge sharing and teamwork.
Why imagine the possibilities when you can experience them?
Employees in organizations of all sizes are already finding numerous scenarios benefiting from SharePoint agents.
Employees at Boehringer Ingelheim, a global pharmaceutical company, created an agent from their data in SharePoint to assist product teams in navigating the highly regulated launch readiness process.
Amey, a leading provider of engineering, operations, and decarbonization solutions for UK infrastructure and complex facilities, created an agent to be an expert in their health and safety materials. This agent quickly provides employees with the information they need on the job site to ensure their safety every day.
Some other common scenarios include:
- New to a team? Ask the agent to summarize key onboarding materials, processes, and plans in your department to ramp up quickly.
- Got a big project coming up? Create an agent tailored to your project background materials and ask it to create a project plan for you.
- Brainstorming? Let the agent analyze your materials and ask for recommendations.
Regardless of your specific business needs or role, everyone can create their own agents and share them with others in Teams chats for collaborative work, or take advantage of ready-made agents available on every SharePoint site.
