If you see people filming themselves doing literally anything, they’re probably doing it for this. Scroll infinitely through perfect lip-syncs and dance moves, hilarious sketches, fluffy pets and bites of pop culture that spark a million memes.
Impossible to reach target audience
I create content for English speaking countries (the US and Canada specifically), but because I live in Europe - I can’t even reach my target audience. I see Russian speaking countries, South Africa, neighboring European countries in my analytics and almost never - the US and Canada.
TikTok discriminates millions of creators, not letting them choose the audience they want to reach. I see tons of similar vids as my own going viral just because these creators live in the US, while I live in the “wrong” country apparently.
TikTok pushes my vids to the people I didn’t create my content for and they start dismissing it as “not interested”, and this way my content goes to the dump. Using TT for a year, I don’t have even a single video reaching 10k views, while I saw content a thousand times worse quality going viral because the person lives in the US.
In era of globalization not letting creators choose the audience they want to reach is ridiculous. Do better!

TikTok is a problem despite having a good side
Despite there being an opportunity to earn money and share some valuable information, which btw TikTok isn’t mostly used for, cuz it’s mainly used for idling time away and mindlessly scrolling for hours TikTok is a big problem, because it reduces a person’s attention span and keeps them hooked for hours making them waste their time that they could spend on something more valuable. There’s valuable information not gonna deny that, but that’s not what TikTok is mostly used for. People dance and do stupid stuff and if you ask :” why’s that bad?” Here’s what I will tell you: TikTok prevents people from studying, living their own life, instead these teens mindlessly waste their whole day on the app watching other people’s lives. Is that a good thing? And if you’re still reading this, think about it.
