Ratings and Reviews
It has a solver!
Only spreadsheet app I have come across that has a solver function. Hope the developer continues to support it as I am about to buy the paid version!
Clunky, ugly UI
The most cumbersome office app I’ve ever used, inundated with ads, margins don’t line up with Microsoft Word. Look elsewhere.
It’s a blast from the past, that works well with a mouse and a keyboard
Wholly 2000’s GUI Batman! Bwahahaha I haven’t seen office software look like this since 2005.
With the dated appearance aside, it’s not like Office Software really progressed since 2005 other than moving to “The Cloud”, and subscription based licenses. Which means that while it does look dated it’s as functional as any other office suite.
Since it’s base is Open Office it’s compatible with pretty much everything you can throw at it, which is good. But unlike Collabora Office (another office suite based off of the same source), AO Office actually works well with a Keyboard and mouse interface.
Granted there are other issues like the inability to open files from the files menu and having to import the docs you are working on into it, rather than working on it in the main drive.
But considering that the alternatives doesn’t work well with the Apple Folio Keyboard, or use a proprietary format. I’ll take what I can get
