Literal Word exists to promote the word of God and not much else. No ads. No articles. No distractions. Simply the Word. We believe that the Bible contains the most important information that anyone could ever come across and that accessing it should be as easy as possible.
This belief has driven every decision we've made designing Literal Word. The app is 100% free and functional even when you're offline. The NASB 1995, LSB, ESV, and KJV translations of the Bible were selected for faithfully utilizing a word-for-word instead of a thought-for-thought translation method. Each passage of the Bible is clean, customizable, and convenient to access, allowing the reader to focus exclusively on the God-breathed content. Word searches are simple but powerful, featuring a unique visual interface for organizing results with precision, and complete lexicons for original Hebrew and Greek words can be viewed with just a couple taps.
It really comes down to the fact that a straightforward approach to a Bible app maximizes attention to the word of God.

Simple (in a good way) and extremely helpful!
Clean layout, customizable text layout and reading options (e.g. Turn on or off "red letter," adjust font size, etc.), easy to use and helpful lexicon, excellent search function. However, my favourite aspect of this app is the layout of search results. Seeing the frequency of the use of a word broken down by category of book (e.g. Pentateuch, Major Prophets, Gospels and Acts, Pauline Epistles, etc.) is really useful. It's a feature that I didn't know I wanted in a Bible app, but now that I have it I wish every Bible app utilized it!
Also, the developers are very active in responding to questions. I submitted an email question about a possible glitch I found and they responded within a very short period of time and even pushed out an update not long after. In short, these men are dedicated to making this app the most functionally useful Bible app possible.
I don't know if they have plans for future updates or feature enhancements, but if they do I really look forward to them!

Amazing!
Great great app! The ability to see the direct translation of Greek words has allowed me to get at the direct meaning of the original author. This is a must-have Bible app for those who want to understand the true meaning of any given verse or passage. Literal Word is the best Bible app out there!

This translation (NASB) among many other literal English translations of the Bible are long lost treasures in this day and age. The Literal Word app is the best in the market— faithful in translation, technologically convenient, and tremendously helpful for personal study of sacred scripture. One of the biggest regrets in your life will probably be not downloading this app.
