A Welcome Upgrade

I’ve been a fan of Archero for years and played quite a lot in 2024 especially. The original is a great game and always had me hooked. Archero 2, although I’ve only played an hour, is so far, brilliant. It takes time to get used to the change if you’ve played the original much but the graphics, the VFX and the sound are a HUGE upgrade! As of right now, I’d massively recommend Archero veterans and newbies to give this game a download if it’s your kind of game, it’s well worth and the team have clearly put a lot of time and effort in to it.

Here’s to spending another 1000 hours farming again and loving life while I’m at it!

Fun…BUT

Played the first game a LOT so was very excited to play this game, pre ordered ready for immediate download on launch. Currently on world 3 and just realised how aggressive the pricing is.
To be clear this review is based on concerns outside of the core gameplay of the game. If you loved the first game you will love this game. But everything revolving around making your character stronger is why I’m writing this review.

Chest, characters, you name it, everything is so expensive, and the value of the things that’s are cheap are just not worth it. Now granted the game can be played for free no problem but this game seems to cater to either free to play or whales of spenders, no in between. Buying a character should not cost £30. That’s just outrageous. I doubt anything will come of this but it does could you please look at your pricing for us little fish who like to spend a little here and a little there. £0.99 for the gems is absolutely useless, yet for it to be useful I have to spend £40+?! Cmon mate that’s wild. Or at least increase the drop chance of the character puzzle piecses so that I can eventually place with someone else.

An excellent sequel

This game improves on the original in every way, borrowing some weapon ideas from Vampire Survivors. Excellent controls, clear menus (compared to other free to play games), lots of interesting weapons and upgrades and it’s very fun too. The developers seem to have tried hard to make the game as user-friendly as possible, including having ads that are not intrusive. Highly recommended.

Developers: Can you please add in some sliders or buttons for muting the music and sounds. Thanks! Keep up the superb work.
