Way better than Twitter on a functional level

Is it bad I feel calm using this app compared to anytime I open Twitter?

Blue sky has issues but functionally it’s better than Twitter for these sole reasons: it’s block button works, I can FULLY customise my own algorithm to see the stuff I only want to see (and I can create more than just one, which is so cool), customisation and UI is better on blue sky it’s faster and cleaner and you can create your own domain names to have as your @, which is not only a great way to do verification but a really cool way of getting extra creative with your profile, especially for a nerd like me, its privacy policy’s are MUCH better than Twitter (this is a HUGE thing many people should realise), my posts and data aren’t being used to train AI without my consent, and just generally this app is much more “adult like” compared to X/Twitter.

Only complaints are that I wish there was a bookmark/save post function and that video Bitrate would be better everything else is just a case of time really.

Relaxing and joyful for my purpose of use.

It’s hard to believe that I found a social media app that has content that can constantly keep me relaxed, instead of feeling stressed, uncomfortable and many other negative emotions associated with other apps.

With blue sky, you can easily choose what you want to see thanks to the feed customisation options. At the time of this review, I have not faced a situation but I am forced by algorithms and other things to view content that I am uncomfortable with.

I I use blue sky to share my photographic content. And I am surprised to say that it is well worth doing so on here.

I would like to see being brought into this app. Is things like saving favourite posts, sharing photos and videos on messenges as well as video calls.

I would like blue to be one of the safest social media platforms for all to be on. And the best way to do this in my opinion is to introduce a content report system, which has a wider range of reporting options. A range that is broader and wider done Facebook Instagram and x. The other Security feature I think should be added is away to upload example posts to a system or AI so that it can be known better what we don’t and do want to see.

Easily.

The true successor to Twitter. A user-centric, decentralised social platform that is designed to be easy for the average person (no instance decision like on Mastodon), without sacrifices and with the ability to own your own data if you're so inclined.

Bluesky has not only offered a social media site that feels like it's people-owned but also provided ATProtocol, one of the most exciting platforms to build on that I've seen in recent memory. ATProto isn't just for Bluesky, it's going to be the catalyst for a lot going into the future.

Bluesky feels like it learned from the flaws of Twitter and Threads and truly tried to make something refreshing, a refreshingly human community with a priority towards making social media what you want, instead of to line the pockets of venture capitalists.
