DJI Assistant 4+

Like many other reviews my biggest issue is that I can’t even open this app without it constantly crashing. However I have managed to figure out a workaround temporarily whilst DJI continue to ignore customer complaints. If you turn your phone to Airplane Mode before opening the app then whilst it’s searching for your device quickly switch on just the Bluetooth it seems to work without crashing. I was then able to calibrate my device. Hope this helps?

When you pay a lot of money for DJI equipment you expect the after-care service to be top-notch. Sadly DJI are notoriously bad with their customer service. The fact that you can’t even calibrate your ronin without this app makes it even more shocking.

App has access to all the functions you could want to set up and adjust parameters on the gimbal without the need to hookup to a PC - however on my iPhone X at least, the menu seems to move up with each action before eventually disappearing off the top of the screen at which point I’m forced to kill the app and reconnect as you cannot then navigate through the menus - seems a fundamental problem and from reading the other reviews one that has been around for months without acknowledgement or fix from DJI. Which of course is classic DJI behaviour- they just move on to new products and leave previous products unsupported. Which is a real shame as clearly have a great market share and reputation... for how much longer though?

I bought a DJI Ronin-M which requires this app to even switch on. Turns out this app crashes out and has done so for years which rendered my investment in DJI a huge waste of money. Over £800. I’m so disappointed in DJI for allowing such a critical piece of software to be sidelined like this. It’s disgusting to be honest that this is even allowed. Suffice to say I am never going to recommend this companies products to anyone ever again. Nor will I buy there products ever again. Shocking, Utter, Garbage.
