To those wondering how to turn off their phone screen without pausing the timer, create a focus widget on your Home Screen. Then start the focus session in the app. Go back to the Home Screen, then you can turn off your phone. It won’t pause. If you have problems you can press the play/pause button through the widget. That way you can use the Live Widget on your Lock Screen to monitor progress instead of burning a whole in your screen(leaving it on for 6 hours)

I absolutely love the design, layout, and graphics of this app! I love the idea of journals, the fact that the stats are in the free version, and that there are different characters to choose from.

Gorgeous art style with cute characters.

I was immediately sold on this app when I was presented with a John Muir quote upon first opening the app (section hiked the JMT a couple of years ago!). This app is absolutely gorgeous and stands out from the crowd when compared to other focus apps purely for the beautiful art style and the concept of climbing mountains. It really does motivate me to keep going when I see my little character making progress towards the top. As I’m self employed, I find it really helpful to look back to see how much (or how little!) work I’ve done. The music is really great too and is lovely for when I just want to be calm and zone out.

I’m really pleased to have this app and look forward to climbing many mountains with it! I especially look forward to whenever the pomodoro timer is going to be added as that will be a really useful feature.

My only gripe is that some of the grammar in notifications isn’t great (perhaps English isn’t the creators first language?), which bugs me a bit whenever they pop up, but that’s a small issue in an otherwise really lovely app with a beautiful art style to enjoy while working or studying.

settings and time?

I really like this app. The opportunities for customisation are awesome and the graphics are so cool.

But my total timing hasn’t been added up properly and it says that total study time isn’t as much as I have actually done, with hours difference between the two scores. Also I think it would be very beneficial to change the total timings into hours, as having it as days isn’t the most effective way, and can be very confusing at times. For example, I only started using the app in September with the start of my new school year, and when I click the option for the year’s pie chart, it says total is 1 day 18 hours (which would honestly work better as 42 hours) but at the bottom of the page my total is 1 day and 12 hours, which is 6 hours of hard work difference.

I do overall really like the app, but I think there’s a few areas of improvement such as the settings of time and the total time calculations. I was considering switching to another app but that would be a lot of hard work down the drain. Please fix up :)
