Ratings and Reviews
Needs Design / Functionality improvements for Pro Use
Great for Basic & Some Advanced Use Cases, but not suitable for really data intensive uses. No Ability to Replace from Selection with Single Table, Not able to Print / Share a Single Table from a Sheet is a major drawback, especially when you are dealing with 10’s of 1000’s of Data Line Items. Without these basic Functions, one cannot escape and will be forced to use Excel!! Also, as a long time user of Numbers, it’s embarrassingly slow to add new (Basic) features and the iWork Team really needs to up their game and add more advanced features for us to be able to truly use Numbers as an Excel / Google Sheet Replacement.
a good alternative to the Excel
There is no replacing Excel, but this is a very good alternative, My only issue is, I can't select the XLSX extension while saving. I have to go to Export to > Excel. This is a bit annoying but I can live with that.
The available templates are very good and useful. Haven't delved into the formulas, but looks to be similar to what excel has. The UI will take a bit getting used to, but once you do it is not too bad.
Overall it's a very solid spredsheet program.
Great app for productivity
It is a very good app for productivity. Earlier I was using Microsoft excel but since last year I have the whole apple ecosystem then I started using numbers instead of excel. my friends use some third party app as they don’t want to pay for Microsoft excel. I recommend them numbers which is free and contains all of the features and has a very great connectivity with the apple ecosystem.
