Description
This app was developed with the purpose of deterring bears by intermittently emitting a combination of low-frequency sounds between 80 and 120 hertz, which are believed to be effective against them.
Traditional bear bells are tools used to prevent encounters with bears. However, the BearAttack is effective in situations where you have unexpectedly encountered a bear or when you want to drive a bear away.
■ How to Use
Turn the central dial to select an appropriate low-frequency sound within the 80–120 hertz range.
Press the dial to play the selected low-frequency sound.
■ To Enhance Effectiveness
Because the sound pressure of low-frequency sounds is weak when using only a smartphone’s speaker, it is recommended to connect to an external speaker such as a Bluetooth speaker and use it at a high volume. This can be expected to more effectively deter bears.
