3. Download and install the application on your device
How to activate?
Prior to logging in SBM Mobile for the first time, you will be required to activate the application. To do so, follow the steps below:
1. Click on the 'First Timer User' button from the Login page.
2. Insert your SBM Internet Banking User ID and click on the Get OTP button.
3. Insert the OTP (One Time Password) that will be sent to you via SMS on your registered mobile number.
4. Key in a valid 4 distinct-digits MPIN and you are now connected to your Bank.
5. You can also register for biometrics once you have logged in

Updated app ain't user friendly at all and the app in itself is very poor. There is no consistency; one day it may work and the other day it does not.
Also, when you make a transfer, you have to wait for more than 2 hours if during the day, if transfer has been made at night then you have to wait for the next day. This should happen instantly .. Very unpromissing app i should say
24 Jan update is seriously flawed
The 24 Jan update is a disaster:
1. The app either takes an inordinately lengthy time to load, if one is VERY lucky, or...is simply stuck forever on the VERY irritating loading screen, 9 out of 10 trials;
2. Credit card and multiple accounts have vanished after the update;
3. Accessing information through the drop down menu is, as expected, stuck on forever loading mode;
4. Biometrics authentication (that is, if the menu loads!) is a farce and despite being informed by reviewers before the update, FACE ID is still not supported.
SBM should understand, once and for all, that people cannot stop and stare every time at its usual serving of gimmicks-customers have finances to manage, and time is of the essence!
This degree of incompetence would have been rigidly sanctioned in other banks. I wonder as to whether SBM even looks at customer reviews.
No access to SBM application or Internet Banking
Since 3 days I am unable to access my account be it via the SBM application or online. I have already been to Rose Belle branch and Ebene as well for complaint. I have that apparently several IPhone users are having the same issue. Please look into since we use this application for various transactions.
