Description
Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.
GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.

Beautiful game
Beautiful game, but betrays its console origins a little too much. You begin in a flat landscape, with only the ability to walk left or right and collapse to your knees. If you walk left, you're blocked by some steps and it feels like the controls are non-functional. If you walk right, though, you eventually get through some fog and the gameplay begins in earnest with the spacebar converting from a "kneel" button to a "jump" button.
Overall, really beautiful and fun (although I'm still in the early stages) but I'm taking off a star because I still haven't found how or if it's possible to remap keys (I'm lefthanded and WASD is a PITA) and even how to quit the game withoug force-quitting it.
mad mad mad
Ok, I like to play games on the computer. I especially like puzzle games, do NOT like first person shooter games (which this isn't) for the following reason: I do not have good dexterity and it's difficult to do tricky maneuvers with my hands/keyboard. I just don't have the coordination. I played GRIS halfway enjoying the game, figuring out how to progress until it got to a point where I knew what to do to solve the puzzle, but I just could not do it. My hands are...pyucked!! (a word I made up to describe something that doesn't work right). So I cannot progress in GRIS. I'm halfway through the game and can't go any further. Therefore it's only worth half of what I paid! I want $5 back!!!!!!
What no controller?
Lovely game. Fun experience. Very contemplative.
It's quite frustrating that this game doesn't support a controller. I'm not in any way a gamer, but I'm so used to everything else in Apple world being plug & play I naively assumed that of course it would be supported, but ... guess not! Using the keyboard reminds me of playing games on my ZX Spectrum 35 years ago ... but not in a fun way. :(
