What If...? An Immersive Story 12+

I’m not sure what I was expecting with this app but I was very surprised at how immersive, fun, interactive and interesting the story was. I’ve seen some of the movies, played a bit of Marvel Snap, and didn’t know all of the characters but it was still easy to follow. The immersive bits were well done and a few times, and the two last ones, really felt “real” in a way.

I could see parts of this turning into a game, which I would buy. However what I really hope is this is the future of storytelling or interactive and immersive shows. The only real negative is I wasn’t sure how to stop or pause partway through but I didn’t try too hit the crown button, which likely would have done it. Instead I did the hour or so content in one sitting, and I appreciated the chapter selector in the main menu as I wanted to redo a few of the scenes.

This is the first review I’m writing for any Vision Pro app having owned one since day one. I have to admit I haven’t been that impressed the different applications, but this truly shows what the future of entertainment can be. Don’t get me wrong,The quality of the experience with Vision Pro is awesome and the immersion is great, but I was really wondering what a futuristic experience could be and this app shows what that could be. I really could see this as the future of entertainment and how we engage with different different movies or stories. I hope Disney makes more of these. This is truly awesome work.

I had a couple false starts before it actually opened and then all I got was the sound and a screen with colored bars moving outward. When I tried to close and reopen, it only continued where it left off. I removed it and tried reinstalling and this time it worked. The first time I accidentally selected options by mistake when starting up the experience. Maybe that was the problem? Still, there should have been a way to stop the experience when it wasn’t working and change those options. Also, why would there be options available to allow it to not work? Nevertheless, I finally got to experience the one thing that led me to want to demo a Vision Pro and, after seeing the resolution for myself, to purchase it.
