The idea and process are great. Love the fact we can book a service at our time and place.
Some of the technical issues need work. Tried to post the same job 3 times. Chome did not work for me, Internet Explorer works up until the payment entry section and then fails. Finally got it working on Firfefox. Once that is corrected and the iphone app is stable I can definitely give it 5 stars

My tasker Lenore arrived early and this allowed for us to get to know each other a little before beginning the activity. I needed help to organize and remove unwanted items. Lenore was tough, but fair and helped me to get my closet sorted. I have scheduled my next task and am looking forward to getting my home in order for the summer.

Jane was my tasker (I requested female taskers only) and her 2hr job was to declutter an area of my apartment.
She worked quickly and efficiently and was able to do more than i expected.
I will definitely use AskForTask again as I declutter in 2020

i am updating my review of AskForTask. Since I had a good experience with decluttering, I decided to try them at a more complex task. You cannot book someone to look at your plumbing for less than 1.5hours. My tasker came, looked at it for 15 minutes and then said he couldn't fix it and i needed to call a plumber. I paid $80+ for this. I tried to resolve the issue with AskForTask and the Customer Service rep Anthony just showed me a text thread where he told me there was a 1.5 minimum.... a thread where I never responded, never saw, it was just him typing into the ether.
RECOMMEND ONLY USE FOR SUPER BASIC TASKS

Mine did not In spite of asking for and receiving pictures of the faucets in advance. Again, AFT is great for labour only tasks, not tasks that require knowledge

The minimum call out time of a handyman Task is 1.5 hours, which is viewable when booking a Task through our website or app and on our help page.

Davide was very professional, cordial and extremely competent in mounting my rather complicated parking tent. The only downside was he was a bit later than we were expecting, apparently due to a confusion in communications, but he then stayed into the evening to finish the task, and did it beautifully. I would highly recommend him.

Askfortask is a really nice application that connects you with the right person in a very efficient way. I would just recommend if it allows the person who posts the task to control some aspects as who does the task and to accept or reject some aspects as when the tasker started and when the task was completed.

I love the efficiency of booking and rebooking with Askfortask. Great service for a very affordable price. I have tried three other cleaning apps and this is by far the best.

Please be warned! I have never written a negative review, but it behooves me to do so in this case as I have sustained damage to my personal property that AskforTask is insisting I pay to have fixed.
- Tasker crossed wires and burnt part of my light fixture, was clearly incapable of completing the task.
- Somehow, he also managed to DRILL A HOLE in my brand new >$1,000 table.
- The insurance is a JOKE as there is a $750 non-refundable deductible to even have the claim assessed.
- AskfotTask sent someone to put up my (slightly damaged) light fixture but are doing NOTHING for the damage to my table.
They explain this by saying that the platform is a marketplace, which I understand. But they pride themselves on ensuring qualified professionals, which they clearly did not do. Because Taskers are not their employees they take no responsibility for what happens and – again – the insurance is not helpful if something does go wrong.
They also removed the task from my queue, so I CANNOT PROVIDE A RATING for the unqualified Tasker. This means YOU CAN’T TRUST THE RATINGS!
They have wasted my time, damaged my property and insulted us as consumers in the process.

While it took a little while to find a time where a Tasker was available (reason I am giving 4 rather than 5 stars), communication was fast and clear. The Tasker (Petsie) did a fantastic job cleaning the apartment; she arrived on time and did a thorough job. Will definitely use the service again!
