Brad Teal and Woodards, Pascoe Vale. Do not deliver what they promised in selling our home. Sadly, we thought we chose a premium agent to sell our property, only to be extremely disappointed and financially strained. I will never use and or recommend any Woodards agencies. Brad Teal should not be in customer service.

Never rent through Brad Teal Real Estate. They disposed of my practically brand new couch without my permission and are refusing to return my calls and emails. Steer clear. The response from Lisa Sciberras at Brad Teal is completely false. We were given 3 days to move the couch and they incompetently forgot to pass this information on to all relevant parties and the Director Brad Teal himself is denying any wrong doing of course

I was very satisfied with Julie Gloster who managed the sale of my property. Julie convinced me of my property's value and the buyers to target to achieve the desired result. Julie achieved the desired sale price, which was above other agents valuations. Apart from getting this fantastic result I found her very honest, straight forward and a pleasure to deal with. Horror Experience

Matthew was extremely unprofessional in his work, he and his team lied on many occasions about features in the house working when they in fact did not. I was told lies about the evaporative cooling system, electric garage remote and the hot water system.
I found him to be quite slack and unresponsive at times. The process of purchasing a home was made so much more difficult buying off an untrustworthy, lazy and deceitful agent. What hurts the most is that at the time I was taking his word and trusting him, which in the end proved to be a huge mistake.
Lastly, the final inspection for the property was so unprofessional as Matthew was happy to run the inspection with the previous owners of the house half naked eating lunch in the kitchen. On top of this, my reasonable queries about fixing minor damages around the property were met with no help at all. My first experience buying a home required support and guidance but I received nothing of the sort. In addition to the lies and lack or professionalism, during the final inspection when family members or I asked questions about features on the property they were simply ignored. The response was silence and Matthew didn't care to put in any effort AT ALL to assist in our queries. I have piled up evidence of my concerns and experience with this agency and will never ever use or recommend them for my entire life.

How one person can damage a great brand....

Recently a family member purchased a home through Brad Teal Sunbury. As an agency we have no issues, however there's always one bad apple. Our experience with sales consultant Lachlan left alot to be desired, memories of real estate sales people from the 70s and 80s. Puntuality to appointments - non existent, apologies for his tardiness - non existent, failing to point out property issues - very existent, honesty and integrity - questionable. It felt as though he was selling a property for a friend and was hell bent on not disclosing faults and avoiding questions when asked. Furthermore inspections were rushed, even the final inspection. I'd certainly not recommend dealing with Lachlan. It's disappointing that a reputable agent such a Brad Teal Sunbury, who are great agents, employ such a rogue agent.

As promised in the response from Brad Teal Woodards on Part 1 (linked above) the head of rentals did contact me to resolve this matter. At the time I believed now she was on the case I wouldn't have to take this matter to VCAT, which is what I wanted from the start. Unfortunately, my optimism was short lived.

Negotiations began and long story short we settled on an amount of compensation to be paid to me by the landlord. For the record, and to the landlord's benefit, I deducted over $300 from my initial claim in the interest of resolving the matter.

Even though we had settled on an amount, rather than arranging the payment to me, this is when the head of rentals introduced costs from a separate issue and notified me that I should be liable for them. As a result, these costs were going to further reduce the amount of compensation paid to me, in favour of the landlord of course.

The additional costs in question were billed to the landlord by the body corporate after I vacated the property. The costs were relevant to the removal of hard rubbish (that I admitted was mine) and the cost for accessing security footage.

I advised that these costs are an issue separate from the compensation claim and an issue between the landlord and body corporate as, In my opinion, the landlord nor I should liable for these costs. I believe this because, while I was living in the property there was no notice at all about leaving hard rubbish in the bin area being forbidden. Also, during 13-month tenancy the constant presence of hard rubbish in the bin room would lead one to believe that this was the norm, I explained this to the head of rentals and put it in writing for her as requested. Within 20 minutes of me hearing that they were attempting to charge me for removal of hard rubbish I went to the property to remove the furniture myself so I would not be charged, it was already gone. This is when I saw notices advising that anyone leaving hard rubbish would incur costs, these were put up long after I vacated the property therefore there was no way I could have been aware of this.

Even after explaining this my agreed amount of compensation still was not paid. I can’t help but think this is yet another example of sneaky tactics, keeping the body corporate costs hidden until the last minute then trying to use them to further reduce the amount of compensation I receive. Unfortunately, off to VCAT.

We sold very quickly and the process was easy. They are honest and straight forward when dealing with clients and we would highly recommend them.
