Your phone services operators are knowledgeable and local. No talking to amateur call centre people based in Singapore or somewhere else. They acted quickly and gave me confidence in the service. Email comms has also been very good.

The customer service operator was extremely helpful: they helped me choose a provider and explained the complicated process of setting up the provider.

Started off very well

Started off very well. Answered all the questions and helped with other information.

Switched over to Tangerine and then was overcharged. Rang Tangerine and they informed me that was what I should be charged - even though it was more than I had been quoted from Compare broadband.

Went back to Compare broadband and eventually was handed over to Aaron the CSR. He then dealt with Tangerine and got back to me to say it was a technical issue and that I would be credited the overcharge.

Next invoice from Tangerine arrived - no credit applied and now being charged even more!! Rang Compare Broadband to speak to Aaron. He was busy so I was told he would call as soon as he was free. Nothing.

Rang back later that day - Aaron had gone home for the day and he had tried to call. No missed calls so not sure how that could have happened?? I was told he would ring first thing in the morning. Nothing.

I rang back Compare Broadband in the morning and was told he was in a meeting and he would ring by 9.30 - even got a text saying the same. Nothing.

Rang back later - Aaron was at lunch and I was told they would leave a message for him to ring back as soon as he was back. Nothing.

I decided to ring Tangerine myself and after much discussion I was credited the overcharged amount and apparently my account will be adjusted to reflect the correct amount. I will wait the 24 hours as suggested by Tangerine and ensure it has been done.

A poor effort in follow up communication from Compare Broadband which was very disappointing as it had all started so well. I'm sure if everything went smoothly it wouldn't have been a problem with them however when things don't go smoothly - that's when companies can be found lacking - and Compare Broadband really failed here.
In future I will do my own research and organising.
