They don't have enough staff to attend customers phone calls. Spent total of 13 plus hours to get a quote but no luck. They never attend the call, just keep it on hold and wasting customers time.I will not be looking for a part of these pathetic insurance company and will discourage others from doing business with this unprofessional company. It's 2025 and still they don't have the call back option or enough staff to handle the customers. Worst insurance company ever.

There should be an option for a negative rating for the Co-operators insurance company. If you are looking for FOREVER, this is the company you should call, you’ll be put on hold for forever! Wasting your weeks calling them for a quote. Customer service rating is below ZERO.

Customer service is very bad.. 20 days ago I went to South Trail branch of Calgary to get an insurance quote, they told me that they do not receive customers in the office without an appointment.. The appointment was made on 10/3, they took my name and phone number.. When I went for the appointment, the system had changed to phone and they do not receive customers, knowing that my name and phone number are registered with them.. I was not contacted. Notified of the change.. I took a leave from work and traveled a long distance to get there.. Currently on the phone for more than an hour, it is a waste of time

Customer service is always a wait time. The actual workers are pleasant. They’re just doing their job. The company itself sucks. My insurance rises every single year, and the excuse is always “inflation in your area” safe drivers are not rewarded what so ever. Getting a little outrageous.

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. This insurance company gladly took my money but disappeared the moment I actually needed them. They find every excuse to deny claims, have the worst customer service, and couldn’t care less about their clients. Stay far away unless you enjoy getting scammed.

My parents are with the cooperators and…

My parents are with the cooperators and they are the worst company to deal with... My family is so displeased as to how we were treated by the cooperators... Our vehicle was stolen and the way my family was treated was just despicable and the outcome of the situation was just not done right the insurance company has no problem collecting the money for their insurance every month but then they treat their clients disgusting.. I would advise anyone to move on to a different insurance company and don't ever deal with the cooperators... They have no compassion or regards for their clients and they do not care about anyone at all worst company to deal with😮‍💨😮‍💨

Selling false insurance

They sold me insurance to be covered while driving uber and when I got in an accident my claim was denied for driving uber. No one in that organization is able to give an answer as to what the uber coverage that I was paying extra for was covering

Hailed damage

Hailed damage. Settlement amount pay for class 3 shingles and repair damage.Qualified upgrade shingles Class 4 will pay up to $ 3000. Send invoice to provide paid and shingle class 4.
The first adjuster Aaron and Kyle Wassell never mention if settlement amount can fit for shingles class 4 that is not qualified to get $ 3000
Adjuster Kyle Wassell didnt compare two invoice which was insurance contractor and my own contractor. Refused to pay, because settlement amount can pay for class 4. Also he said will send me a quote for exterior paint (not in settlement amount) and solar panel. Check online, Kyle Wassell closed my case on 18/12/2024 the day we talked on the phone

They raised my monthly premium by more…

They raised my monthly premium by more than $100, claiming my driver's license wasn't registered with the correct issue date. They didn’t provide any alternative solution besides suggesting I switch insurers.

They don't need your business

Collecting quotes for simple straightforward small business liability. After three attempts...nothing. No call backs, no emails and this after I talked to a different representative three times and they promised a speedy response. Don't waste your time there are much more professional alternatives.
