amazing company I got sick in my holidays and they paid everything, however they reply a little bit late but it was ok...

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Recently used this company for travel insurance and thank goodness no major catastrophe happened as when I claimed for luggage broken by the airway they replied they require
- proof of purchase

- proof of cost to repair or that it can’t be repaired
This is ridiculous as how many people keep receipts for everything they own that might get lost or damaged on a holiday and where can you get luggage repair?
Nonsense.
Won’t use again or recommend as they aren’t interested when you need to claim.
I sent as much proof and evidence as I could but never even got a reply to my claim.

I am very happy with cover for you as we were on hols in Turkey last year and my wife got an insect bite and required treatment in a private clinic. I submitted the receipts when I returned from hols and was reimbursed the costs less the excess promptly. I was delighted with the service and lack of red tape. This year on renewal of policy there was no penalty for having made a claim and I happily insured with cover for you again.

Simple initial setup of cover and renewal even easier! Very straight forward insurance, arranging cover was so straight forward and easy. So much so I'm more than happy to renew our insurance for another year!

Thank you for you review. We contacted you via Trustpilot to request you verify your policy number so we could investigate, while you provided the details to them to verify your purchase you didn't allow them to pass those details on so we are unable to investigate your complaint further.

As a generic response as with all insurers our policy is designed to reimburse you for financial loss when things go wrong (for an insured peril). This means for something like damaged luggage we need proof of ownership and then to either know the original purchase cost (which may be reimbursed in full or subject to wear and tear scales depending on your policy type) or the cost to repair the item.

If you do provide your details we can investigate the specifics of your claim and respond further.

Even though I was advised not to fly…

Even though I was advised not to fly because of COVID 19 you were not willing to assist in any way. Also your new conditions are a bit over the top.
I have not travelled since January having had to cancel or had cancelled all my flights. So even though my premium this year is slightly reduced it doesn’t make up for the 9 months I couldn’t travel.
