When booking my travel insurance with Just Cover, a technical hitch occurred. This was easily rectified but the next day instead I got a new policy totally free of charge without even asking for anything. How is that for customer recovery service. I will be purchasing my insurance here in future no doubt.

Just bought Travel Insurance from Just Cover.ie. What a breath of fresh air! Was buying online and had a few queries so called the office. Dealt with a person called Nicola. She was a joy to deal with. Courteous, friendly, patient, very knowledgeable- all you could ask for. The product itself is very good, this combined with people like Nicola to assist makes purchasing a no brainer even if their pricing may be a bit higher than some.
I spoke to lovely chap called Jake.I usually find these calls very stressful and they always make me e feel like I'm talking to a robot.However I got the lovely Jake that made me feel very comfortable and relaxed while he sorted out my travel insurance.An absolute Pleasure to have dealt with Jake.

I guess Just Cover weren't the only insurance company to act in this way this year, but I purchased their multi trip holiday cover so I must review them.
I purchased the insurance for 1 year pre covid-19 (jan 2019). My partner was giving birth to our child in Brazil and so I would make 2 trips, Feb to prepare & Jun - Aug as the child was due (and delivered healthily) in June. In July I needed to email justcover to get an update on my insurance policy, as I was informed that several insurance companies were refunding policies due to Covid. I was told my policy was null and void as the company stipulates that you are not insured if you travel to a country the government advises you not to travel to (the green list in Ireland was never more than a few countries long).
It did not matter that this travel was absolutely essential, it did not matter that I am in the negligible risk category if I contract covid, it did not matter that I had left the country before the "green list" of safe countries was released in Ireland - if I was unfortunate enough to be hit by a car in Brazil, due to covid-19, I would incur all costs myself.
I did not get refunded nor was I informed by the company that the insurance was voided. Really bad experience. I see the stunt they pulled as a scam in a sense and I have already advised several people off using them as an insurance provider.
2 stars as they were at least responsive when I contacted them.

I would like to correct some misleading information that you have stated in your review. You advised that you contacted us in July and we told you your policy was "null and void", this is not correct, I advised you that the policy, as has always been the case and is included in our Full Policy wording, does not cover you to travel to a country or specific area or event to which the Travel Advice Unit of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office or the World Health Organisation, has advised the public not to travel to. So your policy was never null and void and did continue to cover cancellation of any holidays booked for the duration of the policy from January 2020 to January 2021 or to travel within Europe to countries on the Government's Green list or the current EU Travel Traffic light system countries.

Easy to use website, reminder was useful as I wasn`t sure when renewal weas due. Only disappointment is it doesn`t include covid cancellation.

Policy has gone up over 10% for a time when many probably won't be travelling. Also I have a claim in since early June and it has not been dealt with yet so I wouldn't be too happy with that.

Regarding your Claim, I have contacted the Claims handlers and they have advised that due to the current Covid pandemic they are dealing with an unprecedented volume of claims resulting in delays, but they hope to be in contact with you very soon.

My wife and I purchased travel insurance from Just Cover.ie.
While on holidays I became ill, such that I needed a doctor. The doctor certified that I could not travel at the appointed date.
It is absolutely mind blowing that just cover does not cover cancellation/ curtailment for medical reasons.
