I am impressed, Friends told me insurance claiming IS a hard process and Takes time. Here at lemonade it took them 23hs. Just with the right questions and guidance. I am impressed and can only recommend this insurance.

10-stars for Kathleen C. at Lemonade Claims Team! And, ten-stars for Lemonade! I just went a traumatic experience with my little dog, JJ, and Lemonade took so much stress off me. . instead of me having to answer their questions, they went directly to the Vet's office. . .the claim process could not have been easier or quicker. They immy sent the funds to my cking acct. Every company should use their business model! Kathleen even sent me a personal condolence letter when I lost JJ. . . professional and personal!

First time having insurance for my Dog. I got a really well bred and expensive dog that is going to be a Service Dog. I needed to make the right investment for her health. I submitted a small but simple claim that’s covered under my policy and it was super super simple. So far I am satisfied with the sign up and submitting the claim.

There was a burglary in my home and Lemonade team was very helpful and supportive right from day one. After getting required details they almost covered all the damages caused by burglars.

Excellent Pet Insurance and Home Insurance

We have had lemonade pet insurance for several years and are so happy with it. We moved from another competitor insurance brand because they kept increasing the premium each year despite our dog not experiencing any major medical issues. Now that we have Lemonade, we have used it for several major surgeries (2 torn ACLs) and ER visits (she's a lab that tends to eat things she shouldn't), the claims process is seamless and we have never gotten pushback. Our premiums have increased, but only slightly and in my opinion at a reasonable rate for our dog's age. I recommend this insurance to everyone.

We even used it for homeowners insurance in a fire prone area that can be difficult to get coverage. It's a great company that is not only in it for profits.

Bait and switch

Quoting us double the cost (literally double; $700 more than before!) to renew our auto insurance; we have no changes from before and a clean record. Every other company offering us the same rate as Lemonade originally did. Customer support useless and robotic. Bye Lemonade.

Terrible provider

It’s easy to file a claim, but it’s not easy to get it reviewed or approved. I have been working on a simple claim for 2 months and it is impossible to speak to a person. Avoid Lemonade!

I loved Lemonade for years, no longer

I loved Lemonade for years -- but I never had to deal with them other than pay them money.

Then I switched addresses -- literally down the street (same street) and 0.2 miles away.

They told me they could not insure the location. When I asked why, they said because there was fire risk. When I mentioned it was the same area that my current property is in, they told me it had changed in the year and therefore could not insure that area anymore.

This seems reasonable to me.

I then found out that they charged me for insurance for another year. I messaged them and asked them to refund -- because they couldn't cover me, per their own words. They said in order to give me a refund I needed to provide proof of moving out (never heard of this before) or I needed to provide proof that I had another insurer.

I tried to explain that neither of those were necessary, because they charged me for a service that they couldn't provide. They looped this response for over a month. I complained to the BBB as well, and they continued to say the same thing -- never acknowledging the giant elephant in the room that charging for a service they cannot provide is fraud.

I looked up other reviews on Reddit and other places, and learned that people essentially shared my experience: Lemonade is great until you need them (for a claim or for something not simple), and then they are awful. Do your own research, there are far better companies out there. They've done an amazing job of making it feel wonderful until you need something.

UPDATE 1/10/25

Lemonade responded to this comment in what appears to be a poor attempt at marketing to try to make it look like they care and would amend the deal. I reached out to them (as they requested) and their response was, word for word: "After carefully reviewing the details, I regret to inform you that our decision remains final."

Which means, again, that they've decided to keep money for a service they cannot deliver (fraud). Stay away.

Joke of a company

While lemonade appears to care about the well being of your fur baby, the truth is they are just like any other company out there. Only care to make a buck. After spending $800 for treatment for my puppy due to an unexplained seizure and an ear infection, lemonade reimbursed $80 after the $250 deductible. When asked about the other roughly $300 that would make up the 80% reimbursement they claimed, Lemonade advised that nothing for the ear infection was covered due to it being a "pre-existing" condition. Apparently, due to my pup having had another ear infection 7 months earlier, they refuse to cover any future ear infections unless she were to go a full calendar year without one. Despite the fact that ear infections are curable within about a week of medicated treatment. Lemonade feels it is acceptable to claim them as pre existing and refuse reimbursement. My advice, stear clear of this joke of a company.

Simple, nice and agile experience
