Mercury closed my bank on 20th December 2024. After that I have no access to my account . I have ask for details about my money they say anything clearly about that .
Since January 1st, I have made numerous attempts to contact them regarding my bank statement, which I need for tax filing purposes. I have called and emailed them through various channels, but I still haven't received my bank statement.

The best banking tech ever
We've been using Mercury in our business for 2 years now, and I've also been using Mercury for almost a year for personal baking as well. This is the best banking tech I've ever seen. The ability to manage money with it is just incredible, the online interface is amazing. ACH and Wires are easy to send and free, even international ones. Even sending paper checks is very streamlined as well. The digital toolkit to upload vendor invoices and pay them is amazing. The user controls are amazing. Ability to create vendor-specific cards and then cancel them if needed is very useful as well. Another thing I really like is the ability to preview all upcoming ACH debits and reject any fraudulent debits before funds are taken out.
There are only 2 things I don't really like: international wires can be slow to receive, and integrations with Yodlee, Finicity, and Stripe Financial Connections don't work with Mercury (Plaid works fine but not others), they really should fix that because some external services require the use of these aggregators. This is something Mercury should fix, especially the latter, as being able to connect to financial aggregators is very important.
Overall though, given how good Mercury is and how impressed I am by it, I still think that Mercury is very much above a Full Five Star rating!

If I could give zero stars i would. Negative even. I was a loyal customer along with my mom and my step dad, for more than 12 years. Nov 2023 I was in an accident involving an unisured persons not from this country, had no registration or proof of insurance, turn left without signal from the far right turn lane into the lot I had been signaling out of, we collided at maybe 1-2 mph. Mercurys claim agents ignored my calls for days, didn't get back to me for almost a month after which i had a witness that was only available for questioning at certain hours due to financial hardship. Mercury failed to acknowlege my please to contact this witness in my defense and the response (thats supposed to be recorded via text according to the text services they offer) was that there was 'no point since I pulled out of a gas station'.... but i was not any where near a gas station. Which means did she even look at my files which included photos video and a virtual rienactment thru their online services. My case was then moved to small claims after 7 months. ( mind you my policy was canceled after the accident as i couldn't afford the pending bodily injury claim rates offered) (witch means, i can't drive!!) Let's ffw to now, January 2025, i call to find out an update. Turns out my case was once again moved to someone else who, not only failed to notify me of the change, but also failed to notify me that the case was closed early December 2024. I asked to send me the documentation... andwhat did i get jan 13th, ...: "all third party claims associated with the above loss have been resovled. This file is now closed. "
THAT'S IT....� no explanation no virdict no offer for future coverage or apology for dragging this bs out for over a year , disregarding everything ive said , ask to resend evidence as far as 8 months into the case andthen acting surprised when I tell you you have it on file, and you look, and then oh.. you do! 🤬 DON'T USE MERCURY

I’ve been a loyal Mercury customer for over a year, and my experience was positive until recently. My account was working seamlessly, without any issues, and became an essential part of running my startup. However, on January 6th, I was blindsided by an email informing me that my account would be closed without any clear explanation.
This decision was deeply unsettling, especially since I had over $40,000 in the account. Mercury was our main bank, and we relied on it to pay operational expenses. Losing access to your primary banking partner is a nightmare for any startup, and the lack of transparency surrounding the closure only added to the stress.
I trusted Mercury to be a dependable financial partner, and this abrupt closure has been nothing short of devastating. I hope Mercury will reconsider their decision or at least provide clarity on why this happened. More importantly, I wish they would improve their processes to avoid putting other startups through this kind of experience.
Banking is the backbone of any business, and startups need reliable partners. I sincerely hope Mercury reflects on how this impacts entrepreneurs and takes steps to ensure better communication and support for its customers.

Low cost banking
I like Mercury bank for the no fee local transactions which really help startups. I like their credit card feature where you get 1.5% cash back right away in your chequing account when you pay the bill.
I also like their credit card quick account approval time. So, far they are doing a very good job.
I should mention that their international wire transfer get delayed. I did some wires to Pakistani business account and it took 7-10 working days to receive the money. I understand that they have partner bank and due to double controls it takes some time but thats ok as I use Bank of America for international transactions If there is an urgency. BoA charges $45 wore charges for international wires vs mercury $15.
Mercury’s Team is very supportive.
I would rate this bank 5 stars for whats it worth.
