Quick and easy to get a quote, and quick and easy to take out policy. I was looking for simple and affordable, basic home contents cover and I found it with Urban Jungle.

Making a claim with them is a massive hassle.

Claimed for a television that was damaged during a revamp of the sitting room, still not settled 2 weeks later.

Tried to send an engineer from
Glasgow to Orkney (boat or plane needed)

Passed around 3 different departments, ended up cancelling my claim (and my insurance with them) and buying a 2nd hand TV.

It's almost like the make the claims process as difficult as possible to avoid having to pay out!

Honest straight forward insurance.My last company thumped up the policy a whopping 90%.Wondered why I am leaving them.To many operate like this.Once they have got you on there books then up the prices.

Although accepted, a very slow and informationless claim.

Very slow once making a claim and no contact information provided during the claim process as it goes through a separate entity.

The claim went through okay, so no complaints there, but it did take almost two months for it to get to a replacement item. Also my monthly fee went up 50% right after.

We do accept direct debit as a payment method, but this is only for our monthly contents policies. Direct debit currently is not available as a payment method for all other policies.

It’s also worth noting that if you have an Urban Jungle Contents Policy and you need to change the way you pay for your policy, you’ll need to cancel your current policy and take out a new one.

I'm reading reviews and the silly…

I'm reading reviews and the silly people below rating 5 stars based on irrelevant nonsense is mindblowing. Unless you've had to make a claim, what good is the trifle about the website and price?

Now that that's off my chest, I had a burglary back in November. I contacted them, and it's been back and forth nonstop since then. Every time I call for a follow-up, they tell me I need to provide something new. When I do, they move the goalpost and need something else. How efficiently they handle claims in times of hardship is a good measure of assessing the value of the company, and in my case, they have failed miserably.

My laptop was stolen, among other things, and despite providing original receipts for the items, they asked me for pictures....A. Why do you need pictures to prove ownership when you have a receipt? B. Who has pictures of their laptop 😂😂. It's literally a racket to frustrate and avoid paying. My next step is to complain to the Obudsman.

Depending on the complexity and circumstances of the claim, some claims may then require more evidence and investigation, taking longer to reach a solution.

Excellent Cover at an Excellent Price

Found Urban Jungle on the insurance broker CompareTheMarket.com. I received the best quite and best cover (includes accidental damage). The online process was fast and effective too. I highly recommend Urban Jungle to anyone wanting home insurance.
