I had to cancel a trip to France having been diagnosed with shingles and Bell's palsy. That was when I learned I couldn't claim for the airfare. It seems I wasn't covered for that, which was the whole point of the insurance. Possibly my fault, but I don't think it was made clear when I took it out. Staff were not rude but I felt let down.

I have used Staysure before and found their rates for my medical problems to be competitive the medical review carried out on line was was easy to use. I will be using Staysure in the future as they are a recognised insurance provider from whom I have had good service.

Too OLD at 76. Age discrimination! also travel period limited to 3 months single trip. After spending £1000+ this year with this company bombarded with e-mails and offers which are of no use to me. .

I have done our holiday insurance cover with Staysure and I did look at different companies but they are by far the best for the cost of the policy. We are both over 70 so find getting cover quite difficult.

Would recommend ! We were booked to go on a 30 night cruise and were insured by Staysure. My husband died just before we were due to go and Staysure refunded all the money we had paid ( less the small amount P & O refunded) . No fuss and very prompt.Will always use them for any future trips.

Reasonable add on fee to cover my medical history.Basic fee also reasonable for a short stay break.Paperwork sent instantly and easy to download/print.Communication very good and offer of discount on next insurance.Good provider,would recommend.

I am not a happy bunny. I was charged an admin fee £5 to alter the number of my address .it took about 1minute after some discussion as to whose fault it was.the insurance was bought online ,as was the rectification good customer relations!!!!!!!

I would have no hesitation on recommending StaySure Travel Insurance to anyone. As I have pre existing medical conditions I shopped around for quotes. StaySure where much cheaper than all I was quoted with the same cover. I rang to speak to an advisor to ensure all my conditions were covered who was very patient with me and went through it all. You have a free phone number which a lot of others don't have. I didn't book with the advisor as I wanted to book via my TopCashBack account on the internet, therefore making my policy even more economical.

I have been a customer of Staysure for some time now and will continue insuring my travel with them. It is a simple task to renew my annual insurance on line. This year I was doing a single trip so I insured for that one trip, again through Staysure and had no problem. I will revert to Annual insurance next year as with Worldwide cover I can travel whenever I want to anyplace I want with all the cover I need. The medical screening I need is also undertaken on line which makes it really easy to insure my travel.

I have used Staysure for my holiday insurance for a couple of years and like the ease of purchase (website is clear and easy to use) and how good value it is when compared to others.
Would always check them out first before even considering a purchasing elsewhere.

I recently suffered severe food poisoning on holiday in Spain and had to be admitted to a clinic to be rehydrated on a drip. I handed over my Staysure card to the nurse who processed me - at 5 in the morning! - and treatment continued without a hitch. The doctor told me a little later that Staysure had given the full go ahead in a quick phone call. At the end of my stay, I simply had to pay an excess of 80 euros and I was on my way with a handful of different pills and powders to return me to complete health. Thank you, Staysure, for being there!

Second year with Staysure. We had a large claim for a broken leg in the first year. They handled it exceptionally well and were available to chat when we need them. Delighted to insure with them again.

Initially when I took the policy out, they were very efficient. Have not had cause thankfully to use them, so cannot comment how efficient they would be if you did need them in a crisis.

But I'm going on holiday for a week and my policy runs out, rang them to simply, as I thought to get an extra two days extra cover, was told it would be a couple of days for them to get back to me as it had to go to the underwriter, well still waiting to hear back. Suspect I will have to contact them or it may just be quicker to get a quote from another insurer.

They do seem quite expensive.

I have been booking travel insurance through Staysure for a number of years principally because they specialise in insurance for 'older' people. In my case also because of pre existing medical conditions. I have always found the booking process to be completely hassle free and efficient and have no problem in recommending this company.

Freshly retired and making the most of it, my wife and I had a lot of holidays over the last twelve months using Staysure each time for insurance and never needed to claim.
It was a real shock then when we came to take out a 9 month insurance to cover us for a trip of a lifetime round the world only to be refused because we had not been on holiday, and in thier terms, not a resident of England for six consecutive months in the last twelve.
We don't 'live' anywhere other than England. Beware, 'holidays' in insurance terms seems you are not a resident any more in your home/country (even though you have a home and pay all the utility bills while away). Stay sure we're happy to take our money for the trips but did not warn us that lengthy holidays would prevent us from obtaining further travel insurance until you have lived again in your home and not gone out of the country for six consecutive months. Absolutely ridiculous!
