I’ve been waiting since October for my evaluation, and the customer service has been beyond awful. It’s impossible to get a clear answer, and when I do hear back, it’s a vague response that gets me nowhere. I’ve been completely ignored for months, and it’s honestly been a nightmare. WES has zero regard for its customers and has made this whole process unnecessarily stressful. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone—stay far away.

Worst service there is. I have two Bachelor Professional degrees and they were unable to evaluate them. It took me over 4 months. They said it was a "vacational schooling degree". After I had it evaluated again by IQAS, everything was evaluated as a Bachelor degree within three weeks. Even a booking for the course-by-course was changed by them themselves and they only sent me a document-by-document. Even though I also paid for the course-by-course. On top of that, you call and are only referred to the online portal. Employees are underqualified. They only give copy and paste statements. Questions are not answered. The absolute worst service I have ever seen!

Terrible organization, with terrible customer service. They are so cheap and no curtesy to customers!
They charge extra for 3-5 days shipping, but they used standard shipping to send our report even
didn’t provide tracking number. The report never reached to us due to canada post strike, we called millions of times to send it again after a month to our new address, they said you should buy another copy, after talking to manager, and calling multiple times, they provided a tracking number and they said it was sent to new address, which was a lie, when we tracked the tracking number, it was showing old zip code and lost in the mail. They never submitted the second copy! We called so many times asking them to send out another copy, but they said they will contact you by email, and never did!

I am highly disappointed with the service provided. I have now submitted four requests to have my file transferred from Canada to the US. Worst service there is

Unacceptable Service: A Nightmare Experience with WES

Extremely Disappointed with Lack of Action

I am highly disappointed with the service provided. I have now submitted four requests to have my file transferred from Canada to the US. My first request was submitted on December 9, the second on December 18, the third on January 9, and now on January 27, despite multiple follow-ups, no action has been taken.

This lack of responsiveness and accountability is unacceptable, especially for a paid service. I expect timely action and resolution, but instead, I’ve been left waiting with no progress or communication.

I cannot recommend this service to others and will continue to share my experience.

Terrible organization, with terrible customer service. They are so cheap and no curtesy to customers!

Find an alternative. These folks are completely incompetent. We made the mistake of not finding a good evaluation service resulting in time and ultimately opportunity.

Unacceptable Service: Lost Documents, No Tracking, and Demands for Additional Payment

I am reaching you guys here, since you decided to filter my message sent to you because of your deliberate poor service:

Subject: Re: WES Inquiry - 6709215 (Inquiry ID - 3610805)

Dear WES Customer Service,

Your response to my inquiry about my missing credential evaluation report is wholly unacceptable and demonstrates a disturbing lack of professional responsibility.

Here are the facts of this matter:

1. You offered standard delivery as one of your service options. By doing so, you vouched for its reliability and took responsibility for ensuring successful delivery. The fact that you offered it means you deemed it suitable for international document delivery.

2. Your response claiming "there is no tracking number available for this type of delivery" after THREE MONTHS of non-delivery is not an acceptable excuse. If you offer a service:
- You are responsible for ensuring it works
- You must have protocols for when it fails
- You must have ways to verify delivery or non-delivery
- You cannot simply wash your hands of responsibility by saying "we don't know where it is"

3. The security implications here are severe:
- These are sensitive educational credentials
- You have no idea where these documents are
- You can't confirm if they're lost, stolen, or in wrong hands
- You have no system to track or trace them

4. Your suggestion that I should pay ADDITIONAL MONEY for a duplicate copy is outrageous. You haven't completed the service I already paid for. Your inability to confirm delivery or location of my documents does not constitute a completed service.

5. Your response shows zero accountability:
- No acknowledgment of the excessive delay
- No recognition of the risks of lost credentials
- No proper solution except asking me to pay more
- No consideration for international shipping challenges to Ghana

I demand:
1. Immediate issuance of a duplicate copy with tracked delivery at NO ADDITIONAL COST
2. Written confirmation of your internal review of this serious service failure
3. Explanation of your protocol for lost international deliveries
4. Confirmation of what happens if unauthorized parties access these documents

If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution within 48 hours, I will have no choice but to:
1. File formal complaints with NACES, the Better Business Bureau, and the New York State Department of Education regarding your handling of sensitive international credentials
2. Report this incident to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as a paid service not delivered
3. Share this experience with educational institutions and professional networks to alert other international students about the risks of using WES services

These are not empty threats - they are necessary steps to protect other international students from experiencing similar issues with their crucial educational credentials.

If you offer a service, you are responsible for its successful completion. The fact that you chose not to track the delivery does not absolve you of this responsibility.

I expect a prompt and satisfactory response addressing all points raised above within 48 hours.

My Experience Was a Nightmare
I cannot stress enough how terrible my experience with World Education Services (WES) was. Here's what you can expect if you make the mistake of using their 'services':
Astronomical Costs: I spent over $600 on what turned out to be a complete waste of money.
Incompetence: Their lack of professionalism is staggering. Expect delays, miscommunications, and a general disregard for your situation.
Career Jeopardy: Their glacial pace and errors nearly cost me a crucial job opportunity.
Zero Results: After all the money, time, and stress, I received absolutely nothing of value.
WES, in my opinion, is operating a business that preys on people who need credential evaluations. Their practices are so egregious that I've decided to report them to federal authorities and inform my school district about their conduct.
If you value your time, money, and sanity, look elsewhere for credential evaluation services. This company, based on my experience, is an absolute sham and should be avoided at all costs.

This company is total scam

This company is total scam. I thought I did my research deeply however, considering the fact that this is a very important quite pricy service, I thought they would do a bit better job. I submitted my files on Nov 22nd, 2024. The so-called evaluation was completed a month later. It has been 2 months I still have not received my doc. Their customer service is a disaster as well. I paid over $300 and can not be unhappier. Never ever recommend it. Get your evaluation anywhere but here.. I should have searched better..

Disappointing Experience with WES: Delays and Ineffective Customer Support

I am beyond disappointed with WES. My evaluation (Ref #6783327) was due on January 15th, and it’s now January 21st. I’ve missed crucial deadlines because of this delay, and despite numerous attempts to get a real update, all I’ve received are generic responses and empty promises of escalation.

Their customer service is unhelpful, offering no real solutions or accountability. It’s clear they don’t prioritize their customers, and this negligence is having serious consequences on my future opportunities. I’ve had enough of their generic replies and lack of action. I would not recommend WES to anyone who needs timely and reliable service.

Be Aware! WES is a serious Fraud.

If i can give zero star, I would. Do not go to WES to get your credential evaluated. They do not update your status and after waiting patiently for a month+, after several messages sent, they do not help you or get you an answer. After you call them to find out, the customer service rep is very pathetic that they are not empowered to help the customer. They are reading exactly the same thing on the website and the best they can say is to wait. I have patiently waited a month and more, and I explained that I needed the evaluation to get the application, and running against the deadline. The poor customer service team can only listen to customers' complaints and do nothing. The entire system is a failure. There are many other credential evaluation services to choose from. I thought WES has a good rating and the school I apply for recommended also. Unfortunately this is not the case. I am still struggling to get an update....

I was just about to go file a complaint onto BBB, and found out that WES is notorious with BBB, see the screen shot from BBB website. I should have done a better research before I paid and choose their service. According to BBB, they failed to respond to 73 complaints, and 8 failed to reach a resolution. They are absolutely horrible! They don't care about customers.

* update* - a week later after I spoke to them, still no update, no one called, no email, no nothing. nothing updated in the portal. I am filing a formal complaint with New York City, and see if that will help. This organization is a serious fraud. Please beware do not choose them! I am waiting since Nov 16, so it makes it two months without any updates!

*Update" - even though WES commented on my review and asked for my reference number. A week later, almost three months later, I still did not receive an email, a call, or an update on the portal to let me know what's going on. I am not sure how this works, but I just want to share my experiences and like a lot of frustrating others. Please think hard before your choose WES. Even the school tells you to use WES. do not choose them!

Great first experience

Ngl I was really scared by all these negative reviews. I discovered them after having sent the documents to WES and expected the worst outcome. However, my experience was great. Documents delivered by courier on 20/12, WES confirmed reception on 03/01, report ready on 10/01. Accurate, quick and easy. BUT, I don't deny it went so smooth because I needed only ECA report for IRCC and not a course-by-course evaluation. Also, I sent the envelope by myself and triple-checked everything. In any case, my only advice for people is: send your documents in advance if possible and don't expect WES to meet your deadlines. They are super busy and everything can happen. You should consider it planning your affairs.

Never ever rely on them

Never ever rely on them. You will miss your deadlines for sure. There are many other companies that do the same service but not taking ages. If they were located in the uk they had all the money sent to them back to customers to become broke but unfortunately they are located in the USA.

WES services are so bad, don't use them!

WES services are so bad that they hired a 3rd party company to run their phone line. I guess that their own people quit after receiving so many calls from angry customers. In the end, you can't exchange with an individual from WES, which makes it difficult in unusual situations. For me, my 1st year of university of biology has been granted by the dean after I attended medical school. I didn't fail, I just didn't make the numerus clausus. WES never understood that, keep putting notes on my side that they were missing something, despite I had the university send letters stating my situation. And now they just closed my account, asking for a $60 fee to reopen it. That's extortion! If you need transcripts, or similar services, don't use WES!

worst ever

worst ever. don't even think of using them!

i never got my own copy, and then, they blame the courier! and they can't even offer to send a copy to my email.

worst customer service ever. and totally unserious and unreliable.

they waited til the very last day to send the vaildation to the universities. and this was months of waiting time! and their communication to me as a customer is the worst ever. no info on the validation progression to me what so ever. nothing.

DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY"!

They are worst

They are worst. Use another platform to evaluate your degree! Since August 2024, they haven’t done with my simple High School evaluation yet. I regret it. The US government should shoot down this useless company.

How long take to review documents, maybe I have a different understanding of what 7 business day means.
Wes please be more professional and do not use the same generic answer for all your costumer, each case is different.

terrible service

terrible service! I feel robbed, my documents were sent by DHL, the document tracking number is 6318719035, it was received by Germaine, it was delivered on August 7, 2024, but my Wes record has not been updated with the receipt of the documents until today 02/01/2025. I have contacted many times and have not received any concrete response, only automatic texts. I don't know what to do anymore and today I received an email that I need to pay another 50 dollars to continue waiting. I have already missed all my deadlines because of this company.
