I’ve had now 3 loans from Zopa over the last 15 years.
The app makes it easy to make additional payments on top of your monthly amount.

By making the overpayments you can reduce each month’s min
imum payment immediately and reduce the overall APR.

I will not go to another lender, due to the ease of paying off with Zopa, which some other companies make more difficult to do.

Zopa is a simple and concise app to manage your money. I took a loan with them about 5 years ago, and the app helped to keep track of payments and support with other financial services.
Excited to s
ee how they're next step into savings and investments will develop.

Took finance out with Zopa for my car almost 2 years ago and recently had an offer of a good sized loan so thought I could take the loan and use it to consolidate my other debts all in to one payment. This is saving me a few quid each month, the process was very straight forward and it was mainly done through the app. Excellent service,I can't fault Zopa they have been amazing, thank you!

Let down by greed.

Had no complaints really until I went to pay the loan off early asking for a fee for early payment is a low life. Sadly for this, you get one star. It was only £27 but considering you have had interest and no missed payments now all your money is back. I do not recommend these and won't use them again.

Hi Craig, thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I'm sorry to hear you take issue with the early repayment charge.

To give you more context, this is a charge for paying off a loan before the end of its term. They’re common across the lending industry and we introduced them at Zopa in September 2022.

Early repayment charges are calculated based on your loan term. In line with UK financial regulations (to be exact, *The Consumer Credit Early Settlement Regulations 2004*), if your loan term is 12 months or under, the early repayment charge will be equal to the amount of interest that would've been applied to your loan over a period of 28 days. If it's over 12 months, it'll be one month and 28 days' worth of interest.

While I will provide this as feedback to the team, I can also log this as a formal complaint. However to do so I'll need to more information so I've asked for some extra details via Trustpilot's portal.

Trustpilot will give you 3 days to reply so we hope to hear from you soon.

You cannot transfer from Zopa to Another provider

You cannot transfer from Zopa to Another provider, You end up having to pay unnecessary interest because ZOPA want other credit card providers to pay then via BAC's on a cash basis. No credit card provider will do that. If you are wanting to balance transfer in the future do not start with Zopa.

Hi Alex, thanks for taking the time to leave your review. I'm sorry to hear that you've not been able make a balance transfer out of Zopa to a new provider.

To make the balance transfer we ask that customers provider the following details to their new provider:

- Account name: Zopa Credit Cards
- Account number: 97333077
- Sort code: 60-84-36
- Payment Reference: Primary Account Number (PAN) the 16-digit card number found on the front of the Zopa card

To clarify, we don't want the other card provider to do a BACS transfer, we'd like for the other provider to make the balance transfer via faster payment.

We'd recommend customers calling their new provider to discuss the transfer out process. I hope that helps, if you need any further assistance do let us know. Our contact details can be found at zopa.com/contact

Zopa and boosted savings accounts are great

I love the fact that Zopa gives you more for your savings compared to other accounts. Savings can be boosted - great for saving up for that special something - and easily accessed when required. The app is easy to use and it is a great service.

Steer Clear of ZOPA listen to Martin Lewis

I have both a credit card and loan with ZOPA.
In January I paid my monthly contractual amount, and more, 3 days late from the contractual date, but it was still paid in January.
ZOPA have reported a late payment on my Credit File.
I have challenged this with Zopa and they refuse to amend it, even though the payment was made in the month.
Steer clear unless you really have to use this outfit.
ZABLE provide a much better service and work on the same criteria as this bunch.
I have the names of the people I spoke to at ZOPA and have made a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman

HI Steven, thanks for your review.

I'm really sorry to hear that we've given you cause to complain. While I may not be able to overturn the decision I will get his logged as feedback for you.

You mentioned going to the Financial Ombudsman, they do usually ask that customers log a complaint with us first. If you've not already done this I can get this logged for you.

In order to do this I'll need more information. I've asked for some extra details via Trustpilot's portal. Trustpilot will give you 3 days to respond so I hope to hear from you soon.

Zopa is 10/10

Zopa is an excellent financial organisation. Zopa is honest and upfront. The app is very user friendly and decisions are made quickly and if you are eligible for a loan you have applied for then Zopa are diligent in the checks and the money is in your account within the time frame they have set. Zopa also keep you regularly updated about payments and how much you have left to pay. Overall my experience with Zopa has been excellent and I would give them 10/10.
