You really have to read the small print with this horrible company as they will take your money quick as a flash, then tell you they will not deliver on gravel, and don’t use a high ab like most other decent companies I’ve used, they seem to be back in the dark ages using pallet lifters,
Also the worst part is they will not refund you if you have gravel after the order has been made even though I booked delivery three weeks away,
So not sure exactly what they need to keep the money for when it could easily be refunded,
If you can find somewhere else to buy the same product please do so this filthy lot don’t get money for nothing

I purchased turf around 18 months ago. While carrying out Spring maintenance such as weeding and aerating I've discovered the turf is laid on plastic mesh. This is both ecologically damaging and dangerous for wildlife. I would strongly advise against buying turf from Rolawn. I will be taking the lawn up and starting again from seed, which with hindsight I wish I had some initially.
Ordered turf, received confirmation for chosen day waited all day - nothing arrived. Called them next day, apparently turf never dispatched. Of course no one contacted me to let me know.
Turf is perishable short life this time of year, so had a team waiting to lay lawn (Rolawn state turf should be laid on day of delivery). If you read there delivery terms...delivery anytime between 07:30 and 18:00hrs there is no tracking, no delivery slots and no way to find out what's going - you have to trust it will arrive. Which I did and it did not to my cost.

Wish I had read the reviews before ordering.
Ordered a bulk bag of top soil with confirmed delivery a week later being today. Had the usual terse email about access and delivery and sent the W3W for the address. Had the landscape team waiting around all day in the heavy rain but no delivery at 5pm when I sent them home - eventually got through to Rolawn customer services who finally confirmed their delivery company Palletline had changed the delivery date until tomorrow without any discussion or communication - very poor. Will order from a more reliable company and will not use again.

Ordering fine
Ordering fine, delivery awful.
The delivery guy asked me to leave a review saying that he had done an excellent job because he had to drive his van over stony roads to get to me and that it was killing the tyres.

Top soil infected my lawn
Top soil infected my lawn
I purchased top dressing from rolawn and top dressed my lawn. Sadly it seems my lawn has now been infected with some kind of fungi called fairy circles. Was really hoping this topsoil would be good for my lawn and at the price which was high thought I was purchasing the best. Sadly it has ruined my grass

Disappointing.
Ordered 20 rolls to be delivered.
Email confirming order recieved. On delivery day i had called the company twice from the afternoon who confirmed that they were still expecting delivery to happen. They quote delivery will be between 0800-1800.
The company have no effective way of communicating with 3rd party delivery agents or providing easy tracking information and i was dismissed with the it's not six oclock yet line.
On the second call, i asked them to chase progress which they did.
At 1630 they finally got back to me saying there was a "glitch" and the order was never received by the delivery company, so nothing will be delivered - offering Monday or Tuesday as an alternative. After arranging time off work and enlisting help with the job, this was not adequate.
Their customer service manager displayed an impressive lack of awareness of how frustrating a wasted day may be to their customers, and the use of twee language such as "glitch", rather than recognising a significant failure on their websites part did little to reassure.
A discount for a failed delivery was not offered, but they suggested a refund between 5-10 days rather than anything more prompt.
The company:
1. Appear to overcommit and under deliver
2. Have poor customer service making assurances that were clearly built on nothing, and doing little to recognise their mistakes.
3. Appear to have inadequate monitoring and control of their suppliers to inform progress, along with a questionable website in recieving and processing orders

Turf and Seeding Top Soil poor quality
I really am not sure about the quality of the turf and seeding top soil i purchased from Rowlawn to the point that i will not be buying it again. I scarified, solid tined fertilised and over seeded both my front lawn and back lawn. I didnt put any Rowlawn soil down in my front garden and the lawn is looking great. The back lawn is looking very patchy where the soli was spread and the seed has not taken as well as other areas. Not very happy!

Poor delivery service via Palletline
Poor delivery service via Palletline - only one of 4 deliveries arrived when scheduled. Poor customer service from Rolawn when trying to resolve, and often difficult to get hold of with phone lines ringing out. Product is good, but that’s not much help when it doesn’t arrive when it’s needed.

Site down CAN'T ORDER NOTHING
Site down CAN'T ORDER NOTHING . Phoned customer service to try and rectify, I'm a landscape gardener and work to dead lines the guy on the other end of the phone was practically worthless to the company . I needed 265 turfs for this week but site is useless avoid these Muppets. Now I'm going to be behind my schedule. Thanks rolawn should be called you are getting nolawn.

Decent products - terrible delivery / service
Decent products generally but awful customer service! Their delivery contractor Palletline is cheap and not very cheerful at all. You get what you pay for as they say so, I’m guessing, Rolawn pay these guys peanuts. They turn up unannounced and act like they are doing you a favour. Rolawn made numerous mistakes themselves and I’ve spent a lot of time and effort trying to rectify them due to their terrible customer support services who simply don’t do as they promise. I’ll have to find a different product moving forward as Rolawn seem insist on organising their own logistics even though they are clearly terrible at it ( my order was placed with Wickes).

Rolawn - Poor Delivery service
Turf arrived today after checking delivery yesterday and told driver would call 30 minutes before (Palletline)
This did not happen.
Driver arrived at 15.30, there was 1.5 ton of grass on one pallet and pallet lift was struggling to lift it off the ground. Manage after trying several times to get this off the road, but not on to the drive as could not cope with a 1 inch kerb due tot he weight. Had to leave on path, which blocked the path.
So in the heavy rain today we had to move this, not great.
I am hoping the turf is okay.
Not Great Rolawn!! Think about your customers. I have photo's.
Palletline I have many deliveries from and personally would not use as had very bad experiences from, but I suppose they are cheap.

Just found plastic mesh
Just found plastic mesh covering all the turf in a shady area of the garden. This is plastic mesh it’s not biodegradable and it’s a trip hazard and terrible for wildlife. If you are lucky you might never have known it was there but I’d definitely have gone for a version without this mesh. The only reason it’s used in lawn product is to save money as they can sell the turf much earlier on after planting.

Dreadful customer service/care
Dreadful customer service had ordered 35 rolls of medallion turf, top half of pallet was alright as I got further towards the bottom while laying the quality got worse and the rolls got thinner to the point where they were crumbling! However I persevered and got the job done to a good standard, couple of weeks later I get a dead patch on the turf leave it a month or so to give it a chance to bounce back, asked for literally a handful of seed off them to be told it had been left too long and it wasn't their problem anymore! The most dreadful customer service �

Very disappointing..
Similar to some of the reviews below - just terrible.
We ordered 34 1M Rolls of Rolawn turf, the top half of the pallet was great! But beyond this point we had off cuts and dead turf. So many different shapes and sizes and certainly not 1M Rolls!
Customer experience would rather pass you about and just take zero responsibility for the cost to you. We had gardeners on hand that said the turf was unacceptable and would not survive! The offcuts was a completely different grass!
The top soil was good but I would not use them for turf and if you have an issue forget getting any help!!

Ordered and paid for 20 square meters…
Ordered and paid for 20 square meters only received if I was lucky 15. Every single strip of turf has bald patches. Phoned customer service and sent pictures with complaint via
e mail and was told the turf was acceptable. Maybe to them but to someone wanting a professional job done absolutely not . Stay away from this company

Missing Delivery and Order Snafu
I had put in an order for 6 bags of Rolawn topsoil and grass seeds. Goods were meant to be delivered on the 9th of June.
Apparently, even though the payment was taken and there was an email from their info rowlawn.co.uk team that they had received the order, they had not processed the order.
This has meant replanning with the Landscapers, who were booked for the weekend. It is worth making sure your order has gone through and they have sent a reference number.
I had to call 4 times to ensure that was the case.
Customer Service were ok, polite and had to call HQ but the follow up was on my side in all interactions
