Description
Transformational potential:
- Expands to Central Asia the EU long term support to displaced Afghans and host communities in Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan
- Supports durable solutions for displaced Afghans and promote their inclusion at community level and into the national programmes of host countries.
- Supports delivery of humanitarian and basic needs assistance to vulnerable displaced in Afghanistan
- Ensure synergies and coordination with bilateral programming in involved countries and the TEI on sustainable jobs and growth in Pakistan
The Team Europe Proposal focuses on 3 Pillars (Protection, Durable solutions and Migration management), at national, cross-border and regional level. It complements other actions implemented at country and regional level with particular attention to categories of vulnerable people (women, youth and children, return and host communities):
Pillar 1: Protection
- Strengthening Policy dialogue on Protection, durable solutions, labour migration and visa procedures
- Protection Space, including social inclusion, community dialogue,& support to civil documentation and resettlement
Pillar 2: Durable Solutions
- Provision of basic services and resilience building: increasing access to health and education
- Jobs creation, skills development and access to the labour market, including support to MSMEs
Pillar 3: Migration management
- Migration management, including border management, fight against smuggling of migrants and trafficking in human beings
- Labour migration and mobility, including engagement with the diaspora
The geographic scope:
- Areas of high displacement and return in Afghanistan
- Areas with high numbers of Afghan nationals in Iran, Pakistan and Central Asia
