So happy with my new kitchen chairs! I had a reto table about 80 years old and they look amazing with it. Customer service was excellent, the chairs are sturdy and well made. I highly recommend American Chair Co.

I am very pleased with my purchase. It was delivered within two weeks of me placing my order. The stool looks wonderful and is a very good quality item. I reached out to the company in between my order placement and receiving my order and they respond immediately and were very nice!
The personal service was excellent! We love of chairs, they are top quality, and our special requests were met with a no problem kind of attitude. I would definitely recommend American Chairs, it's money well spent!
The cushions came fine in good condition, but I was disappointed at the amount of shipping cost. I felt it was too much for the weight and size of the box, as it was only 2 cushions.
I am happy to pay for the special craftsmanship and the care, but the shipping was a concern. Upon review, I was credited a portion of the shipping cost. They quickly looked at my situation, and refunded me immediately. That is good customer service!
One final note, if you are buying replacement parts, there should be some instructions that come along or a link to a how to. If you are buying these years later to replace, then you’re going to forget how to put them on.
Overall, I would look to this company first before I went anywhere else. They have always been quick to reply and very professional and personable.

Purchased two chairs. Beautiful when removed from packaging. However, noticed one of the chairs creaked loudly whenever one moved while sitting on it, including getting on the chair, getting off the chair or shifting your weight while on the chair. I was able to find the problem. A manufacturing defect which I was able to correct. The holes drilled into the plywood bottom of the chair did not line up with the holes in the steel swivel plate. Since the plywood holes had been equipped with threaded inserts at the factory, my choice was to enlarge a couple of the holes in the steel swivel plate with a file. I installed new bolts (since the factory originals had badly damaged threads) to secure the chair to the swivel plate.
Now, very happy with the chairs. Great looking. Comfortable. We get rave reviews whenever guests see them or experience them for the first time. I am very pleased they are made in the U.S. I doubt the manufacturing defect I received occurs all the time, but be warned if the chair creaks upon arrival.

I love the table itself but I don't understand why American Chairs 1). doesn't print some sort of guide onto the corners underneath the table top to help you correctly drill the holes for the table legs and 2). doesn't list this omission on the product's website and make note of the fact that you will need a HEAVY DUTY drill to put the table together properly. We had to buy an entirely new drill just for this product, and if I still lived by myself, I never would have been able to put it together on my own. It was a struggle with two of us, and we're young. As it is, because the table has curved edges, we both had to do geometry to figure out how to place the damn table legs correctly so that the table didn't sit unevenly. It took several days and much frustration to get it right. Also, two of the screws weren't able to go into the table because the density was different in certain spots. And the company didn't include a few extra screws in case some got stripped in the process (which they did). So we have a table that's put together, but it doesn't have all of its screws and probably never will. All in all, a mediocre experience for such an expensive product.

We absolutely LOVE our table and chairs. The only problem that we have run into is the split of metal that wraps around the table. There is a crack left there to allow for retraction and expansion of the wood (That's what we were told when we e-mailed our concern over the crack) Since then our children have spilled water and the wood has puffed up in that area making the table look bad. There is no way to get around this because we all know that children make messes and spill so wet tables are inevitable. Other than that we have been pleased with our furniture.

Really happy with my American Chairs. I bought four and then a few years later decided I wanted two more. Brad helped me match the colors again. The chairs have held up so well. They are comfortable and clean easily. I cannot tell which ones were the four original and which are the two newer ones.
