Disappointed

The unit when it did work would take between 3 and 10 minutes to call me, So, if I forgot to disarm the alarm, go to my van, take out tools, lock the van and go into a client, maybe 5 to 10 minutes later I would get an alert. Now the unit has packed up, 5 emails to the company, eventually they said it was dead, that was 5 days ago. No contact, no replacement unit. no customer service.

Apologies Rob that you had a few issues with your unit. I can see a faulty unit was the problem and that it was replaced shortly after this review and customer service and technical helped you set it up. Apologies for the slow customer service prior to that, we are a small team and the demand for the ARMD Guard alarm has been huge, as a result customer service slowed down around that time but I wanted to thank you for your patience and let you know we have put new customer service processes in place as a result. A refund for the downtime will also be issued.

Great price

Great price , fast service and friendly staff who are always there for you . Never used the insurance claim part yet and hope I never will but the alarm on the van is amazing and the tracker is good !

Frustrated

I placed my order nearly 3 weeks ago.
Tried to call many times but nobody picks up the phone and no calls returned when voicemails left.
I did get a reply in a couple of days from an email but was told there was a system error so just to wait.
My bits arrived 4 days ago, but I cannot activate the system using the app or website and don’t know why it won’t work.
I emailed the day it arrived and have not yet received an email back.
I managed to get through to someone on the phone yesterday morning and was told it had been passed to the technical department and I would hear back asap.
Tried to call again just now and no answer.
Starting to lose patience now and I’m so glad I never took out the tool insurance as I’d never be able to claim if nobody answers the phone.
Overall it’s the lack of communication and nobody picking up the phone that’s the main issue.

I had two packages arrive

I had two packages arrive, one perfect the other was placed into of the other package and once I unpacked them I discovered the bottom of the package was not sealed and the ronsel fence paint must have fallen out and cracked the bottom of the paint. This must have happened during transit, and they must have obviously been aware as they put the paint back in the box. The result is once I opened the box the plastic bag used to pack the paint full of paint, got on my cloths has I took it outside to the garden! Definitely not happy as I can not use ir.

Bought on a recommendation

Bought on a recommendation. Wouldn’t recommend it to anybody! Slow in responding to movement. Example.. I can go to the rear of my vehicle and look for a particular tool and the alarm can take upto 45 seconds to alert you that there is some movement in your vehicle. In addition to this the alarm activated at various times during the day for no particular reason. The app is slow in responding! e.g. if you open the app to deactivate the alarm, it just buffers, sometimes for over a minute. So all in all,…. I would not recommend this alarm. As you can appreciate 45 seconds is a long time! An intruder can wipe out a vehicle in 30 seconds, especially boxed power tools.

I couldn't have asked for better

First time I've ordered from them and I couldn't have asked for better. The price for the AdBlue was brilliant, so I got 60 litres for under £49. Ordered late on Saturday night and I had it delivered by 11am on Tuesday morning. Had the email to get the tracking number and text to get the time of the delivery and they were delivered on time.

Only dropped one star because

This transaction was very smooth and painless. The only issue was that the delivery person did not check ID which was supposed to be done. Not a particular problem but it was supposed to be done and wasn't.

Quick Dispatch, Awful delivery!!

Easy website to use & Good range of products. But delivery was awful, DHL claimed they attempted delivery but my Cctv confirmed otherwise. I had to collect from depot and then they txt to say they had delivered!!. I would only order again if I wasn’t in a hurry for the goods. Shame, delivery let them down.

Easy and quick

Ordered this on 6th December but wasn’t expecting it so soon!! Shipped same day and arrived two days later. Easy to use website (for and oldy) so many thanks for a very efficient five star service.

****Updated- so it apparently does work**** I so wanted this device to work but…

Perhaps I was a little hasty giving the review below or perhaps it was as a result of giving the review below but as in the response given by ARMD my replacement unit did eventually turn up, well the 2nd replacement unit turned up as the first one was lost in the post! I then had to send another email to be able to register it. However, for now it is working, I believe as it should. Not bad really, 2 months on. Hence the increased 3 star review. It should however worked straight out of the box, as advertised!!! Oh and the flat battery didn’t actually happen, it was merely a look into the future of something plugged in using power for a long period of time.

I so wanted this device to work but unfortunately it doesn’t. Same story as a few others on here, just not good customer service reported it via email as faulty, no reply, sent another email asking if anyone was there? Got a reply saying sorry about that I’ll get technical to have a look at it. Yet another email and got a response - looks like the mobile number was entered wrongly, should be fine. But it’s not!!! It really is a useless piece of cheap plastic whose sole purpose is to frustrate people and flatten batteries. Total garbage, wish I could give no stars!!!

PROMPT SERVICE AND CHEAPEST ON WEB

Checked on web for weed killer as the Barclay one I had was not effective and found this company to be by far the cheapest for the product I wanted ,even with delivery.

Review request on Stabila level bags

The colours of the 600mm and 1000mm Stabila spirit level storage bags were not the same. One was cadmium yellow whilst the other one was a chrome yellow.
I expected more consistency from a long established premium former West German manufacturer. Perhaps, like so many other German companies, they have chosen to outsource more and more of the tools and especially their accessories to non European or North American factories. Also there was no label on either bag indicating where they were made. The yellow colour of all of the pressure die- cast levels that I have purchased since1984 until 2019 are indistinguishable, at least to my eyes. In future,if I feel that I would benefit from other sizes of robust and accurate levels, I will probably buy one from the excellent extensive range of BMI levels. This is in spite that this company seems to offer even less choice of storage bags. Also, I had to wait 3 months lead time from ordering a BMI Vario R 5 metre tape measure that I finally received three weeks ago.

Good

Having received my unit I installed it and there seems to be an anomaly which was reported.

Initially I was a harsh with a review that I had written but this has changed since
receiving a phone call from Devin who initially couldn’t get hold of me but left a voice message detailing full contact details and then again he kindly called me back early evening to trouble shoot my issues.
He was a very nice chap to deal with and you can tell that he cares greatly for this business venture. On reflection my previous review was unfair and thus have totally re-evaluated it ‘without’ any prompting or request from Devin.

As sod’s law dictates when he was monitoring my unit it wouldn’t play up, but I believe a replacement unit is being dispatched anyway.

The option of logging all of your tools to stop them from being so readily available on the black market is great and I would definitely be interested in looking at the insurance quotes when the time comes (though that’s literally just been missed by a week)

Found this company selling something I was looking for at a very competitive price. Ordering was easy, dispatch was very quick and all tracked too.
