Amazing quality barrels, excellent customer service, it's my second purchase and will be back more!

Received my Barrels in a prompt fashion. Well packed and upon visual inspection excellent quality very happy with the workmanship. Looking forward to cleaning them and putting them to the test. Will give some as gift if it works out for me.

So, here's a funny story. Before leaving the review listed below, I decided to contact BochArt to try to correct the matter.
I called the number listed on their site to no answer. Next I tried their Chat function, again on their site. While there someone called me, but I didn't recognize the name Serge Gondar and ignored it. I asked the Operator chatting with me on the site if it had been their call, but the said they had no access to a phone. When I looked up the call and found that the number attached to the name was the same as BochArt I called back.
The person who picked up then told me no one had called me, that it was all a scam. I went back to the Chat and mentioned this and was told that it was them, that I kept calling them.
Let's be clear, I called once got no answer, was called back and then when I returned the call was then lied to and also lied to by apparently the same person by Chat.
Not a trustworthy business.
And now below the original review about their unfortunate product.

I ordered two 1L barrels and received 2L barrels instead. Given the difference in how the barrels age and the fact that twice the amount of ingredients are required it isn't a small mistake.
The stoppers and spigot also fit very poorly and seem to be intended for either a larger barrel or at least one with larger openings.
Also when I cleaned them I found the manufacturer had been very lazy, leaving a large amount of wood chips inside the barrel and the whole thing was covered in saw dust, inside and out.

As a further amendment; after suffering through trying to use these barrels, since BochArt had left me high and dry, I have lost over 40% of the barrels contents do to the poor fittings and coopering of the barrels

When the 10L barrel needed to be re coopered it was found to be glued together. Not safe to use.

I bought my first barrel from Bochart two years ago. The quality of the barrels is excellent, and their service too. I bought 3 more barrels after the first one, and they are all beautifully made and never had any leaks. I use these barrels to age my brandy and my wine. If you need a barrel, buy from Bochart, period!

Great craftmanship on the barrel, the coopers art at its finest, I will use it to age my Irish Pirate 100 percent contraband (42+ percent abv).
