I would highly recommend this company…

I would highly recommend this company to any one. We were in need of a new hot tub old and our one had worn and was holding water. I found one with our size and ordered it.

Was expecting it to be delivered in a week to 2 weeks but 3 days and it had arrived. The quality of the lid excellent. The only down fall I would say is the two big logos at each side are not what I was expecting but I can live with it.

Excellent service excellent product and all round happy customer

AVOID!

AVOID!! I ordered in May with their website stating that they were currently out of stock, but if ordering now my order would be included in their June shipment. June came and went and no contact was made to advise that my order was delayed. On contacting them I was advised that the June shipment was full of backorders and that my order was now within their July shipment and would be despatched as soon as received. Again, no further correspondence received so chased again and am now being advised that my order is included in their shipment due at the end of August! I understand that they are busy, but to hold onto my money for nearly 3 months and keep promising that my order is in the next shipment is ridiculous. Be aware that their website currently states that if ordering now your order will be included in their next shipment at the end of August - in my experience, you will be lucky to receive it by Christmas!

AVOID AVOID AVOID Canadian Spa…

AVOID AVOID AVOID Canadian Spa products. I'd give them 1 star but for the fact that we did get some use out of the hot tub (Swift Currant V1). After only 2 years and not a lot of use in the time frame, we started getting error code 3 coming up on the PCU and after multiple attempts to fix it called in an electrician. He tried ringing Canadian Spa multiple times but no one answered the calls so he contacted the company via email.

It took them nearly a month and a half to answer his email. To replace the unit would be £600 which is half of what we paid for it from B&Q.

My wife was eventually able to get costumer services on the phone and they were about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard.

In the mean time my sister and her husband bought the Swift Currant V2 without speaking to us and in less than 4 months of ownership their tub has broken down too.

If I'd have done my homework on this company before buying it I would never have bought the tub.

Honest review after 2 years ownership

Ok after reading the slating thats recently been given I feel I have to put an honest review down.

I have my swift v2 hot tub 2 years it's a great bit of kit and can not be compared to a lazy spa in anyway
It's used all year round and never leaked. Had an issue with the pcu board around 14 months on but hey it's an electrical component so will go at some point

Pump sent off for repair and returned in a week so great service there

I would say the guys are doing there best under these difficult times
Give them break if you are courteous they will go out of their way to help. Ps no I dont work for canadian spa just had a great service

Buy a cheaper lazy Spa

Canadian Spa

Well all I can say is buy a much cheaper lazy Spa or similar save your money
I have a current swift v2
And in 18 months I've had a faulty liner £500
and a new pump impeller
£36 from canadian spa but online for around £15
Also they don't usually sell the impeller you have to get them to collect it diagnose fix and send back £130.00
Also they told me to modify the foam wall buy cutting it away as the new £500 liner was leaking around flow and return pipes .
Nice enough guys in the office but your really on your own with your wallet regards after sales and everything is so over the top expensive
Meanwhile my old inflatable spa is still going well and it's quieter.
So if you want some advice
And you like cutting new hot tubs or replacing expensive parts short term ?
KEEP AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE A GAMBLE
Wish I hadn't purchase it now.

Canadian Spa - Cambridge - Install

We received our Cambridge spa a few weeks ago now. Tony from the installations team was very helpful whilst Gary the installer was excellent. I can't thank them enough for all of their efforts in making us happy with our spa. The spa itself has been everything we expected. We use it every day and it has worked perfectly. We love it!

Wish I had never made this purchase. Would give no stars

Where do I start!
Firstly I do not expect this review to remain here as reviews on Canadian Spa sites are checked and any negative reviews removed. Do ensure you check reviews on independent sites.
I purchased a Thunder Bay hot tub on October 2017 direct from Canadian Spa as a replacement for a hot tub we had successfully used and enjoyed for 15 + years. (Aegean Spa). In 15 years we had no problems at all with chemical control and water management.

For 18 months we were thrilled with our purchase and then the problems started. The heater in the tub failed. Luckily this was in the warranty period so no, problem with getting it replaced although we were asked to get our electrician to check everything was ok electrics wise first, which we did. Six months later this heater failed and again it was replaced - again we had to get confirmation our electric supply was ok. We were told that there would be a 12 month guarantee with the heater. March this year, 5 months outside the warranty period the jets in the hot tub started to fall out in the water - within a week 15 of the 44 jets had come out and on inspection the plastic bayonets were found to have disintegrated. We have spent the last 3 months in dispute with Canadian Spa who would not replace the 44 jets under warranty. We have expressed concern about the quality of these parts - flimsy thin plastic at a replacement cost of £16.99 -£34.99 each depending on size. Canadian Spa’s response was that we have not chemically treated our water correctly and it is ‘bad water’ that is causing these problems. After considerable argument the 15 jets were replaced. Since then the heater installed 9 months ago has failed. Even though we were told this heater is under guarantee we have been advised we have to pay £160 call out charge. When this was questioned were were told we can remove it ourselves and send to have replaced. We are not hot tub technicians and I am sure if we did this we would be told we had caused damage. If the part is guaranteed then the visit to replace it should be covered. Very concerning that this will the fourth heater in under 3 years. Since then 2 further jets have fallen out.

We have not been able to move beyond this so posted FACTUAL reviews on Canadian Spa Facebook page. The pages have been sanitised and these reviews removed. We have since been told that as we posted negative reviews they would no longer deal with us and since then they have not acknowledged or responded to any communication.

We spent £7000 on a product that is not fit for purpose and now sits there unable to be used.

Our biggest regret is that we did not research and look at the many reviews out there for this company. The number of negative reviews and dissatisfied customers is so significant. There are many positive reviews, but they come from people who like us in ‘the honeymoon period’ were delighted in the early months of ownership. The problems and subsequent negative reviews posted by people come after this time when the problems develop and the company do not provide the service and support required.

In my opinion these products are very low quality and built to last for the duration of the warranty period if you are lucky. I would not use this company again or recommend it.

No complaints- love our spa

Last week we had our Toronto SE 6 person spa installed by Gary and I think Alfie (who was lovely and cheerful despite being soaked to the skin). It was a more complicated installation than I thought but the guys worked a way around it in absolutely relentless torrential rain. The delivery was organised by Tony who was helpful in answering my questions.
The company is obviously swamped with people wanting spas for lockdown and emails sometimes went astray but just call them and someone will help you out, they are working under a lot of pressure.
We love our spa, I can’t get my son out of it and we use it every night.

Toronto

We ordered our Toronto from B&Q on 16th June. We were sat in it on 20th June. Tony in Operations was very helpful answering and questions we had. Grant and the boys didn't hang about installing it and showing us how to use it. Really happy with the service we have received so far.

My experience of Canadian Spa Company…

My experience of Canadian Spa Company has been very good so far. Received my hot tub yesterday and am very pleased with it. It is the Toronto SE. Installed with very little fuss. I would recommend having an electrician present for peace of mind to sign off electrical connections. I bought the spa through B&Q. It’s a great product and great value. Troy as Canadian Spa was also very helpful pre my delivery in answering all my questions. I would recommend buying an acrylic spa from this company as you will pay a lot more for a spa of the same quality and spec if you buy from a dealer with big commissions / mark up and expensive supply chains, then try to justify that it’s because their USA / Canadian manufactured spas are better built - as far as I can tell the components in my Spa are all the same.

Canadian Spa Rubbish!

If I could give them no stars I would! They are only interested in taking your money and after that when things go wrong they aren’t interested. Their owner/director Troy Labelle is the worst of all - starts off by making the right noises then ignores you hoping you will go away! With decent companies going under through no fault of their own, Canadian Spa Company are a complete disgrace! Avoid at all costs-YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

A follow up on my recent 1 star review!

A follow up on my recent 1 star review!

I've now had this Swift current V2 sitting for two months!! Got told I'd get a refund 3/4 weeks ago, and nothing, still been calling/messaging EVERY day, with no reply, until Thursday 11/06/20, and was told it would be uplifted the next day 12/06/20........ And nothing, not a phone call, not a message, not an email! So I contacted them on Facebook today to let them know that I'm really getting angry over this now, 2 months of absolutely NOTHING from them!!! And that I'll be taking things further, only to be replied to with, a thumbs up emoji! This is the most unprofessional company on the planet! Honestly, STAY AWAY from them! They WILL take your money, then ignore you! There's so many BETTER choices out there, these guys are MUGS!!!!

Avoid them - waste of time and money.

Avoid them. Simple as that.
I have had both Lay-z-spa and now a Canadian Spa hot tubs as they are convenient and I'm not in a position to have a 'proper' hot tub. In both cases they are expensive luxuries that are poor quality and overpriced - but Canadian Spa really is the winner at taking your money!
Both manufactures are Chinese (Canadian Spa are marketed as Avenli in other mlcountries) and both offer products that have a short design life cycle. But Canadian Spa/Avenli have managed to control the market place for spare supplies and consumables- almost always forcing you to return to the manufacturer for parts/support. And that's where the problems begin - there after sales support is shocking.
I have an older C.S hot tub that needed a replacement heater assy. This component is built into the main control box and so I was very surprised to discover this item is listed on their website (am unable to find supply elsewhere even under the manufacturers name stamped on the unit).
The replacement unit looked different so I raised a ticket to ask if it was suitable, came with a fitting kit or instructions. I waited the requested 5 days for a response and heard nothing.
Chased my ticket and waited some more. Nothing.
In desperation I took the plunge and ordered the new heater - at which point I received emails confirming order, advising shipping times etc etc - things were looking up or so I thought.
Heater arrived quickly. A £90 part in an oversized box with a sheet of bubble wrap thrown in. No documentation, no order confirmation sheet, no fitting instructions or kit. No return address or receipt. Oh and a damaged connector to boot due to the poor packaging.
It turns out after a lot of internet searching that this heater is not for my control unit but for an earlier version and so is completely useless to me.
I have emailed C.S multiple times to enquire about returning but they do not answer. I have tried to phone but guess what - they do not answer.
I have a unit that is not suitable and damaged. I have not been supplied a dispatch note or any paperwork either by email or with the device to allow me to return it. And my hot tub is still out of action to boot.
Now I know that I could have replaced the entire control unit. But at £600 I felt it was better value to repair (environmentally friendly and all that) and to be honest, I'd sooner spend £600 on a Lay-z-spa and have a couple of years trouble free service with cheaper consumables too!
So as I said, avoid at all costs.

Avoid - Waste of money and time!!

Another company that are quick to take your money but as soon as there is an issue they don't want to know. I have rang them countless times and there's no answer, left messages on the answerphone and nobody has called us back!!
Sent emails galore and still no answer. Really poor customer service! There's nothing worse than being ignored.
Our spa is leaking, we've only had it set up 7 weeks and 4 of those have been spent empty.
I know it's been a busy time but your customers need answers. I will be taking this matter further if I still don'thear from you, really infuriating being ignored.
I feel these spas are poorly made and not fit for purpose!!!!
We want a full refund.

Overpriced and quite poor customer service

Friends bought one as a wedding present boy it was great until the heater unit lasted just over 12 months and was out of warranty. They say they are built for the Canadian climate but the swift model truly is not. Better to buy a cheap one and replace every year or 18 months will save you money on the long run

Swift Current v2 is very poor quality - it leaks!!

I purchased a Swift Current v2 on Monday 6th April 2020 through their website following a recommendation from a work colleague. It was dispatched promptly and we received it late on Thursday 9th April - just before the bank holiday. Got it set up that night and with the hard top cover it looked good.

I came down the next morning after heating it up and guess what? It was leaking all around the bottom. I called them up after having to raise a support ticket on their website, only to be told its how i have built the pipes going from the heating unit into the liner. Disappointing but i emptied it, dried it and rebuilt it.

Filled it again and applied the two inner caps to isolate two of the three pipes (that last one is the blower which you cant isolate). I also put kitchen towel in between the pipes and the foam. Guess what? It leaked again by the following morning. I called Canadian Spa who tried to say it was the pipes - i really wasn't buying this and asked for another liner.

It took about another week and i received a new liner, opened it up and it had yellow marks all over it and what looked like Biro pen marks on the bottom. Took photos and sent it to them and following several calls they agreed to send another liner. In the meantime to test for leaks i filled it up to just past the pipes and left it for 24 hours and no leak.

About another week or so passed and i received the third liner (each time they were collecting the old one). This was had black marks all over one part of it, i though maybe once it is filled with water and it doesn't leak then you might not see it and i would be open to some money off. I filled it and it was a bit better in appearance but not ideal, however it leaked again.

On investigation to be fair it was from one of the ends of the pipe which attaches to the liner this time. The design is very poor - cheap pipes with O-rings that if get slightly caught as you put the pipe on don't make a proper seal - then you cant easily get back to them without emptying the spa and you cant really tell if they are working until you fill it up. I raised this with Canadian Spa who told me to got away the foam which for a £2k spa just sounded 'cowboyish'

I reluctantly agreed for a fourth liner to be sent; i wasn't pleased as the foam edges by this point following 6/7 builds had started to loose their crisp edges and become rounded and the whole thing just looked cheap - the heating unit didn't look like it would last much past a year. I got the forth liner around 6th May. I built it all up and fllled it up with water, leaving it 24 hours it all appeared good.

Finally we are there. I got my trunks on to use it and there is a small about of water around the base. I switched the jets on and within 2 mins there was water leaking from all around the base. I switch it off and over weekend it lost about a third of the water - the kitchen towel around the pipes completely dry. I immediately notified Canadian Spa and struggled to get an answer.

Troy the manager finally called me and again started saying it was the pipes and to cut a hole in the foam and it was maybe from the screw fitting that attaches to the liner and in turn the pipe. I took the opportunity to recap the journey to date and that 6 weeks with a spa i couldn't use, not to mention the wasted water and electricity was all too much. As i pressed for a refund he hung up on me - within the next 30 minutes i got an email telling me to box it up and they would collect. Several phone calls later it was collected on Tues 26th May and again after a few more phone calls i was refunded the full amount i paid today.

I gave them two stars as leaving on a more positive note - Ali Green - one of their customer services guys did try and help as much as he could throughout the ordeal. Very poor quality from this particular model and cant image the others are that much better. Now ordered a Rotospa instead.

I am so frustrated with Canadian Spa…

I am so frustrated with Canadian Spa Company ! Three years ago I purchased your Swift Current portable spa from Home Depot. I had to replace the heating unit after one season and then I had to replace again. Now the unit is over heating and I just got an email stating that nothing basically can be done and suggested to buy a new unit for $800. I think your products don’t last past year. I bought Canadian made product to support you as a Canadian Manufacture and now my hot tub is useless. I am so frustrated and I want to make sure that many people know this !!! This company does not stand by its products !!!
