The bamboo cheese board, though, could be improved: it is unstable if pressure is applied near the edges, so it requires a larger base, and perhaps a groove for the ball race in the underside of the top. The edges of the top would be better if rounded off.

I tried this company for the first time just after Xmas, I was after a Xmas tree storage bag. My daughter actually found this site and exactly what I was after. It was well priced and the order process was super easy. Delivery was fast and I'm super happy with the Xmas tree's new home!!
Easy to order from the website, kept informed about order status and delivery, unfortunately boots not suitable for me, contacted Charlie’s and they told me how to return them, I had return postage knocked off my refund, but this wasn’t a problem, boots returned quickly to them and I got my refund in a few days.
I would buy from them again, and recommend them.

Product not as described
I originally ordered a fire front only to receive an email 2 days later to say they were out of stock and would i like to chose an alternative.
I ordered a full fire set instead which advised that it came with a fire front ash pan and grate. Delivery service was fantastic City Link were excellent but when I opened the parcel the ash pan is no longer included- not impressed considering I had to pay extra. They have changed their supplier which is probably why the product differed.
As I needed the product I have had to source the missing product eslewhere more expense probably should have kept with my original idea of waiting for the original product to be in stock.
On the plus side their customer service was good and choice of delivery company excellent

Xmas - Tagine Order
Well thanks Charliesdirect, I ordered this item on the Monday before Christmas and as promised it was delivered to me on the Thursday morning! I did not pay a lot for postage (Which surprised me)
And the tagine was well pack and a beauty.

Excellent service
Excellent website, easy payment by paypal, and next day delivery.
Customer service is commendable, problem sorted out and replacement sent, also by next day delivery. Item had been damaged in transit, so perhaps packaging needs to be improved, but this is a problem everywhere at this time of year when couriers are overloaded with deliveries.
I have used this company a few times now, and will continue to do so.

Great choice of product, very easy and very efficient
Found a great selection of the product I wanted to purchase and paying for the item was extremely easy without having to register.
The delivery was very reasonable and not a rip off which you get with lots of companies and the item was received on time.

Improved stock control needed
We purchased these for a customer after getting let down by someone else, we called to check stock, 4 were in in stock so this what we ordered. After calling to chase delivery they then advised me they only had 2 in stock, Why didn't they call me to tell me this?
I think if they sharpen up stock control and keep in contact with customers they would have been given more stars.

Great Prices but it didn't arrive
I've just been laughed at by a 'representative' of Charlies for not being happy that they haven't sent my order out and I therefore won't be getting my presents for my family in time for Christmas. Terrible service and I'm disgusted.
I did not get angry or shout, I calmly asked for ESTIMATED dates when I COULD expect the delivery and got met with evasive, defensive comments which frequently interrupted me. I actually had to ask the 'representative' to calm down!
There were lots of apologies but no real attempt to make me feel that they would try to help, no mention was made about my options (refund, delayed delivery, compensation, pick up in-store etc etc) and the call was ended very discourteously. I'm never shopping here again.

Great price but did NOT work!!!
Ordered a Xmas Singing Elvis Teddy, the price was very good but unfortunately when I received it - it was in no packaging and did not work. After putting some batteries in, it still did not work, which gave me the impression it probably wasn't tested before sending.
Due to being so close to xmas, I decided not to return the goods and my husband decided to investigate why it did not work. He found that the wires connecting the switch on the toys foot was not connected. after soldering the wires back to the button, the toy now works and I am now very pleased with my purchase.
Its a shame that this product was not checked but Charliesdirect before sending.

Good company let down by choice of courier
OK, Charlies Direct offer great customer service and low prices. On the basis of this I rate them 5 star. However they use City Link who I rate 1 star, so for that reason Charlies Direct loose a mark. Charlies Direct were great and the cheapest on the web but City Link were awful. Charlies change your courier before they damage your business.

Great Price
Ordered a pair of Hunter Argyll wellies online for my boyfriend's christmas. They were definitely the cheapest I had seen anywhere with very reasonable delivery costs and they arrived exactly when they said they would. Only minor complaint is that they didn't come in a shoe box (although having never bought them before they may well not come in a box at all) making them difficult to wrap. They were also stuffed into an ill fitting box for delivery so they arrived a bit squashed and after inspecting them I couldn't fit them back in. They were still in brilliant condition though and I would definitely recommend.

Great service apart from the packing
Very competitive pricing on a range of bird feeding items. Order process fine & delivery was quick (despite using City Link)
My major gripe & what lost them a star was that instead of using 2 medium size boxes seperately they were taped together to make a box that was far too large for the couriers (& me) to handle safely & carefully. A large sack of bird seed was included which was then thrown around inside the box, damaging other items ( fortunately just their packaging). The main box was battered beyond belief, with a large hole in the bottom. So please improve your packing process.
