I wish I could give this company a zero. I have paid money to this company for over 16 years and when they were supposed to pay according to the policy they became extremely rude and insulting. They would not answer the phone or email. You are not communicating with one person via email when you want to make a claim. Every time, a different person emails you saying they are not yet convinced. No matter how many times you call and leave messages, no one will answer you. This company refused to pay despite my doctor's letters and all medical records and after 3 months fight I canceled my insurance.
I paid them every month for 16 years, believing in insurance...An expensive experience... They are a complete liar. please don't buy insurance from this company.

I took time out of my day to drive to their office to get a quote for home and auto insurance. They said they were unable to do it at that time because the owner was out with his kids and they would get in touch. That was Monday, now Thursday and no call. Even if I did get a call now I would have to tell them to …..

I wish I could give zero stars. After being a loyal customer with no claims for years, my premium was raised by over $70 without any prior notice. I wasn’t informed of the increase before the payment was processed, despite having updated my address in November, when I was assured that no changes would be made to my account. According to company policy, they are required to notify customers at least 30 days in advance, which clearly didn’t happen in my case.

To make matters worse, I was charged an additional $300+ because I didn’t cancel my insurance before my renewal date in December. Had I been given the required 30 days’ notice, I would have canceled in time to avoid this penalty. When I emailed the company to express my dissatisfaction, they blamed it on the postal strike and told me I’m out of luck.

This is a total scam. Now, not only am I paying more for new insurance, but I’m also having to pay a lawyer to handle the mess this company caused. Avoid them at all costs!

If you are a business with a investment property, Desjardins will hound you for dozens and dozens of pictures. I understand that mould is a big game changer, but they should send their own photographer, because it becomes a two hour exercise.

The only positive thing about…

The only positive thing about Desjardins is generally their online experience. The more it goes, the least we have service and when we get services, it is generally not good and the least we have physical institution, so we have to find one that is still operational in order to get the service we need. I need to change my PIN, we cannot change it over the phone, as opposed to several other institution where you can do it online. We have to find an institution to do it.

Do not deposit checks early

Deposited a check 1 day early than the date on the check. Desjardins denied the transaction - and refused to return or re-process the check. This being a government check and you know how hard it is the government to do anything again. A despicable organization, I wish I could avoid, but it's Quebec's government bank. Absolutely awful.

Desjardins Credit Union 10/10

Desjardins Credit Union is the best, I wouldn't use anyone else. The customer service in branch or on the phone is always professional and very knowledgeable and helpful.

They are an aweful company

They are an aweful company. Our insurance subscription ended. So they put us in collections for 40$ of “unpaid balance” for next month subscription that we would have if we decided to renew. Do not work with them.

Horrible and disorganized company

Horrible and disorganized company. Be very careful when working with them. They will talk you into the most expensive plan and if you realize it later and try to change it they will come back and say it takes time. They happily took 3 months of payments and when I tried reaching out OVER AND OVER again I was told they are working on it. I ended up canceling because if it takes this long to just OPEN an account how long will it take after a person dies?!?! Long story short I canceled in March and they are saying I canceled in August and just charged my card 5 months of backpay for the OLD POLICY! Very very disgusting people

this bank does not care!

Stay away because this bank does not give a s***t about you. I made appointment with them and the advisor was a no-show. When I called, they said it was because he didn’t speak English! What?? Cannot bother to reschedule me? And the supervisor promised to call me and never did. They don’t ever answer your call or message either. Do not bank with them unless you hate yourself.

This company raped 86 & 90 year old…

This company raped 86 & 90 year old customers for 1,000's of dollars for years. So when they found double the coverage (2 million instead of 1 million) with $500 deductibles instead of $5000 for HALF THE PRICE ($2500 instead of $6200) at another company, Desjardin charged them $750 for 12 DAYS COVERAGE AND A CANCELLATION FEE (which at their advanced age they were not aware they needed to do as no payment was yet made). When Travis Cairns Desjardin Agent was asked to produce a signed document proving that they had indeed agreed to such an enormous cancellation fee (if any), they did not provide one instead just sent a bill. Beware of these money hungry gougers who prey on the elderly!!! They can not be trusted. For 14 years (from 2006 to 2020) their bill went up (and even down) ranging from $3000 to $3600 with STATE FARM INSURANCE... then in 2020 without asking they were switched to Desjardin where their coverage INCREASED YEARLY FROM $3600->$4400->$5100->$5800->$6200... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! STOP RAPING THE VUNERABLE!! IT'S CRIMINAL!!

Unreasonable

I can't say for sure if this has started since they took over State Farm, but Dejarden is milking people for every $ they can.... terrible.

I have cars and home under their umbrella, not a single accident or ticket and my premium keeps on going up every 3-4 months that is so wrong.

To give you bulk idea why I feel that we ALL being milked for every $. Last year at this time I was paying roughly $130 less a month and when I call them, they are giving me excuses that upon policy renewal things going up.... what? D I already know it's going up, otherwise I wouldn't be calling, why my premium keeps on climbing every 2-3 months by so much......silence.

After 30 years of being with State Farm I am in search for more reasonable insurance.

Desjardin Petline is by far the worst…

Desjardin Petline is by far the worst insurance company to deal with in pet insurance. They do not act in good business faith, they will find anyway to void claims, mislead on phone calls and cite fine print as their justification. DO NOT recommend at all.
