I tried the Flipsnack tools on the free trial which was basically a teaser. Thinking that it had the functionalities I needed, I upgraded to a paid tier only to discover that the program's capabilities are significantly more limited than implied. I contacted customer service and they very vaguely quoted from their "policy manual." So it's basically a scam. They imply usability and then tie up your subscription fees. After I cancelled future months, they sent me an email asking me to come back. That's just silly since I had already lost confidence in both their integrity and the product.

Response to Flipsnack: Thank you for the sympathetic response and offer to find a resolution. Sadly your good intentions ended there. As of January 22, I have yet to receive direct communication from you, never experienced a fully functional product, and you've made no attempt to honor a refund. Your empty words have only deepened my distrust and disappointment in Flipsnack.

The platform seems very glitchy with no online explanations of how to fix the glitches. For example we uploaded our magazine and for no particular reason two of the pages are blank despite the PDF being fine. Also with auto playing video backdrops, you can hide the play button, but then every time you turn a page the play buttons show again, spoiling the effect for the reader.

Beatrice was incredibly helpful and flexible. She's a great representative for Flipsnack. I suggest offering more affordable prices for Brazilian consumers, especially those who won't make a profit from the app. This would make Flipsnack more attractive and reach more people.

Flipsnack has the best customer support…

Flipsnack has the best customer support i've come across. Hands down they are top - the level of care is absolutely phenomenal and they are always able to meet me in the middle whenever i need.

The product is simple and intuitive - The best PDF reader on the market for a small price. Well done to the entire team, they are amazing.

FLIPSNACK HAS A QUEEN

Support was extremely helpful

Support was extremely helpful. We are a nonprofit and they worked with us to find a suitable, affordable plan and then they very patiently walked us through the app basics. And then showed some cool tips as well. The app is very intuitive.

Wonderful service.

I love this product, I use them to showcase all my books online. Amazing. I needed to adjust the number of pages allowed, and Beatrice handled it right away. Amazing. Honestly I was going to switch due to the restriction but all fixed. THANK YOU!

Everything that is useful is a paid…

Everything that is useful is a paid add-on. Changing the default font, using a wider color palette, etc. I am so tired of these add-on's when they should be basic options. Bad business model.

Very glitchy if you're designing from scratch

I am a graphic designer and have been using Flipsnack to design a brochure from scratch. I would definitely not recommend this piece of software unfortunately, as it's too glitchy.

Some examples of the issues I've been having are:
- logging back in to see pages have been moved, graphics are missing that were previously there, content deleted
- you cannot link text boxes in columns
- when you click on an asset it moves position rather than staying in situ
- you cannot change the crop of a photo inside a mask
- some of the fonts provided have tracking issues i.e. large spaces between some of the characters which you cannot change
- when you enlarge their set bank of shapes some of them warp so you can't use them effectively

Product experience ended badly

I started using Flipsnack years ago on a free account. It was a bit of a clunky experience, but I liked the end product enough to deal with the less than stellar UX/UI.

Eventually I upgraded to use more features, but I wanted to change my renewal date so I decided to revert back to the free account and figured I would upgrade again later.

I was shocked when I logged in and everything I had created was gone. On the free account you could still use the program, it just had far less features. So I reached out to the service team which was AWFUL. The representative said they had changed their account options and if I wanted access to my previous content I had to upgrade then and there. I asked if I could have access for 24 hours to simply download my previous content and was told no. They kept directing me to messaging on their website but as a customer none of these changes had been communicated directly to me. If I had been warned I would lose all access and they no longer offered free plans I could have prepared, however there was no communication from Flipsnack and zero assistance provided without paying. My intention was to upgrade again but adjust the date simply because I wanted to get all my software renewing at the same time, but after this experience I wouldn't recommend or use them again.
