Delayed by months and consistently dishonest customer service

I placed an order for 2 vinyl records in August 2024, one of which was a preorder that said it was expected to ship in October of 2024.

I thought that would be plenty of time to arrive by Christmas. I thought wrong.

October came and went without a single word from Lofi Records, so when it got to November I messaged their customer support asking for an update on the status of my order. On November 6th they responded, saying "Your order includes a pre-order item which only releases this month.
Your order should now be processed.
Please expect a dispatch notification within 10-14 business days from today."

When that window of time passed again with no word, I messaged again, this time mentioning my intention for this order to be given as a Christmas gift and my concern that it now might not arrive in time, and asked when I could expect to receive my package. On December 4th they responded, "One of the vinyls you ordered has just been released late last month.
Please allow at least 10-14 days for the package to be sent to you as we are currently processing them for shipping as we speak."

As the end of this window brought it up to Christmas Eve, I immediately responded and asked for clarification on whether they meant I should expect delivery within that window of time, or just shipment. They did not respond. On the morning of December 6th I messaged again expressing that I did not appreciate being ignored by them. Later that day, they replied "10-14 business days from now to delivery."

It was not delivered in 10-14 business days.

It wasn't even shipped in 10-14 business days. They created the shipping label on December 18th but did not get the parcel to the courier until January 3rd.

The person I intended to give this to for Christmas has their birthday on January 11th. So once I wasn't able to give it for Christmas, I thought I might at least be able to give it for their birthday instead, but at this point worried it wouldn't come in time for that either. I messaged customer support again on January 2nd, asking when I should expect a delivery, and asking that they not give me the same canned response of 10-14 business days that was clearly a lie. On January 8th, they responded "Your order has been dispatched. Is the tracking not working?" With a link to the tracking. Which felt petty and passive aggressive. I hadn't asked for tracking updates, I asked for estimated delivery, which tracking doesn't show.

Thankfully my package came on the last business day before their birthday and I was able to gift it on time, no thanks to Lofi Girl customer support.

I ordered my first vinyl from Lofi Girl way back when they were still Chilled Cow Records. But due to the lack of communication and straight up lies from their customer service, I will never be ordering from them again. This was one of the worst order experiences I've ever had, I will not put myself through that again.

DONT BUY. Customer service ghosts you!!!!

Customer service is impossible. Like someone else said, they just ghosted me. Got no help, have tried to reach them 5 times now. They said they would get back to me at some point, then never did. I don’t think I’ll even get my product at this point..

Customer service ghost us…

I've ordered a personalised t-shirt on the merch. I received the wrong order. I contacted customer service several times and they never followed up. Very disappointed for the price. The t-shirt is unusable because of the wrong personalisation.

I am really disappointed.

I have a feeling I'll never get my album I bought months ago. They're selling albums they don't have. They promise dates that change after every contact. If I ever get my pre-purchased album, let it be my last purchase. Great brand and nicely executed visual identity, but unfortunately completely unprofessional customer service. If anyone still wants to buy their products, I would recommend making sure that the product in question is definitely available before paying.

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed

I have been a fan of Lofi Girl my whole life. As far back as when the image was of Shizuku Sukishima from Whisper of the Heart. I was ecstatic when Synthwave Boy appeared. My friend and I were going to wear the costumes as a duo. I ordered my costume on the 14th of October with express shipping to guarantee that it was delivered before the 26th, when I needed it. I payed for 6 day shipping. I was so disappointed when my package did not arrive till the 31st, well after I needed it and after I could have even worn it for work. When I asked for a refund of the shipping, I was given a measly $5 dollars of my $20 spent on express, and when I tried to return the item and reached out TWICE I was ignored and still have not received a response. On top of it all, the costume didn't even fit! Had I known how poorly I would have been treated as a customer, I would have never bought from here and would have bought a knockoff from amazon. I believe in shopping local, small, and privately owned as I believe in buying from people, not corporations. But that goes two ways, people should respect their customers in return. DO NOT BUY.

A bad experience made worse

I preordered a record from lofi girl vinyl in March of 2024 with an expected shipment and delivery for May of 2024. It was a preorder so I anticipated it taking a few months. Fast forward to the end of May, no record. I contacted customer support who politely asked for my patience and to wait until June because they oversold records and weren’t prepared for the quantity. How do you oversell a preorder? If it’s made to order and a limited quantity being sold, how does that happen?

End of June no record, I contact them again. “It’s being shipped” wait a couple more weeks.

July, no record, but I received an email that the label was created on the 4th. I contacted them at the end of July asking for all information on my order. I was told the item had been shipped and it was on its way to me, but tracking only showed a label creation.

August, the record is actually shipped and I’ll receive it within a week or two based off of tracking.

Mistakes can be made, but consistent lying and inability to properly fulfill an order has ruined this brand for me completely. I’ll keep the record but have no desire to support their business moving forward.

Don' t buy

don't buy, don't buy, don't buy. non-existent customer service opened for barely 5 hours ... customs costs not well specified, written who knows where on the site, if you want to send the package back they won't even refund the shipping costs because "it's not their mistake" really bad.

Won’t buy the product again

I bought the Lofi Girl Plaid for my daughter for her birthday, washed it a total of 3 times, machines cold wash, and now there are bare spots everywhere on the whites, on the collar, pocket linings, and the layer inside. Very disappointed at the quality of the product. Contacted the company, they won’t do anything. I had this plaid a little over 3 months. They don’t stand behind their products. What kind of highest quality clothing won’t last after few wash cycles. The bare spots were probably already there after first wash, my daughter just didn’t pay attention. Terrible, terrible. And it is not cheap.
