After reading all the great reviews, I bought a product from Shower Bay, however I had a really bad experience. The product didn't work as promised and came with a number of flaws. Customer support was sluggish to respond and offered no genuine answers when I contacted them. Customer happiness is obviously not their top priority.

The fact that so many of the glowing evaluations appear to be fraudulent is even more worrisome. They sound more like ads than authentic experiences and are too ambiguous. I doubt that any actual consumers would write such positive reviews after my annoying experience. This seems like an effort to hide subpar goods and services.

Shower Bay is not something I would suggest to others. Their service falls well short of acceptable standards, and their products are unreliable.

I recently purchased a shower bay portable shower for my handicapped mother. Russell simpkins went above and beyond answering any questions or concerns I had. I have to say the packaging was incredible and the video makes it a breeze to put together. This shower is worth every penny. You’re probably looking at a Shower Bay because it’s a perfect solution for someone you love and care for who doesn’t have access to a shower or bathtub in your home. In my case, it was my spouse, disabled by ALS.

The Shower Bay is superbly constructed, but it’s the people who stand behind this product who make it one of the best investments you can make to offer care and quality of life. Don’t hesitate to call them and take the time to describe how and where you’ll use the Shower Bay. Caring and empathetic humans there, such as Russel Simpkins who helped me, will generously offer you valuable advice and even customize some of the pieces (such as the hose lengths).

In my case, I had a kitchen sink faucet manufactured in Europe and wasn’t sure if the standard quick connect shipped with the Shower Bay would fit it. Russel’s answer was to ship a collection of multiple adapters — at no cost — to ensure we could assemble and use the Shower Bay the day it arrived.

My spouse was only able to use the Shower Bay for a short time before he lost his battle with ALS. Afterward, I decided to pay it forward and found someone challenged with the same situation as my spouse and me: all the showers and bathtubs were upstairs and out of reach. When the Shower Bay reached its new destination, Russel worked with them to get it set up and working—at no cost.

I purchased a shower bay unit from a private seller. When we were having issues connecting it to a faucet, I contacted Russell at Shower Bay. Despite the fact that we did not purchase a new unit, Russell was very helpful and went out of his way to send us the correct parts to get the unit working. My son was able to enjoy his first shower by himself in over 9 months. Thank you Russell and the Shower Bay team for going the extra mile and sending the parts needed to make the shower work. Russell also sent another part needed free of charge for overnight delivery when we had issues with the parts that were originally sent. I love the shower and Russell is awesome! I highly recommend this product.

This product is very well made and thought out very well. I placed it in our master bedroom. My wife can have the security of her shower wheelchair which has arms. The shower wheelchair rolls easily into the shower. She cannot sit up without help or use her arms or legs due to her illness. I can give her a complete shower and wash her hair with ease. I can control the volume of the spray and adjust the water temperature at the bathroom sink. At the shower I have an on and off switch. The shower wheelchair can be used as a potty chair so removing the collection receptacle allows me to easily wash her bottom. This is perfect for any patient and caretaker both, and ends sponge baths. Cleanup after a messy diaper is soooooo much easier for us both.

We are thrilled with our Shower Bay which allows my bed-bound husband to take actual showers while in a shower chair. We have health aides, nurses, PT/OT personnel, and social workers visiting and every single one has been surprised and appreciative of this product. Many have taken photos to show to other clients. Some insisted I show them the YouTube video. The set-up was easy, the system works beautifully, it is beautifully designed, engineered, and fabricated, and it is just a solid structure. Being able to work with the doors open really helps too. Most of all, it allows my husband to get really clean and not depend on bed baths. We also didn't have to tear apart a bathroom.

This shower is truly life changing for my 88 year old mother. Without this shower, my mom would have had to go into a care facility or take sponge baths for the rest of her life. It was super easy to set up and takes less than two minutes to connect the hoses when it's shower time. I was worried that using a 55 foot hose would compromise the water pressure but it has not at all! It is roomy inside and my mom loves it! Tip for anyone purchasing a shower bay -we bought a deck rail planter that fits perfectly along the top edge to hold all of her shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.

I was EXTREMELY happy, very satisfied with my experiences when I first got the shower Bay for my elderly mother. I had an issue with the pump after a few years and I contacted the company, got results very quickly. I recommend this Shower Bay to everyone in need of easy access to a shower.

Today we got the portable shower and we assembled it with no problems. It was ready and installed in less than 45 minutes. Everything worked perfectly!
Now my father is able to have a real shower and he can stay at home with us. This shower is safe, practical, and so easy to install!

The shower Bay I got my mother about 4 years ago is my BEST investment ever. I highly recommend it to my friends and caregivers I’ve also bought it up in my meetings with AGENCY we work with as caregivers, I demonstrated how it works so easy to bathe my mother whose in a wheelchair as she doesn’t walk on her own and I showed them the website video, they were amazed!! I had a issue with the pump just recently , I called and got helpful in advise on what to do for the pump, as how to clean it every month , I did need a new one because I wasn’t cleaning on monthly bases. I did receive a new pump which is working perfectly fine and mom’s back to her comfortable Shiwer Bay !!
