Lost power and heating on Xmas day.
There was a delay in getting an appointment time but the electrician came 3 days later. On his first visit he got some sockets fixed and fitted a temporary solutio
n to provide heating and hot water. On his second visit he quickly traced the electrical fault and fixed it so the electrical system and heating and hot water were operating properly. The engineer was extremely competent and thorough and did a great job.

It was easy via the website to book a repair. The engineer contacted me early with an eta and arrived on time. Smartly turned out and groomed he showed his professionalism by quickly diagnosing the problem and repairing. He has good communication skills and clearly explained what he had done and gave me a thorough safety briefing. Excellent service, thank you.

Brit Gas engineer came to fix our not working radiator.
It didn't take him very long to fix problem.
He clearly explained what was wrong and how he fix it.
Was very polite and friendly making it
a very nice repair experience.
Would highly recommend British Gas services very much.

My heating went off on new year's eve and I didn't think there was the slightest chance of getting an engineer out that day under my maintenance plan. To my surprise an engineer was in attendance by mid afternoon. He sorted the problem out in no time ,and proceeded to establish what had caused the problem in the first place. This was also sorted. I am 85 next and can't thank British Gas enough for their brilliant service. Thank you British Gas.

We had a leak and the first plumber who…

We had a leak and the first plumber who turned up from Dynorod didn’t diagnose the problem correctly and changed a pipe which wasn’t the caused the leak, he left whilst water was still dripping through the downstairs ceiling saying that it should stop dripping soon!!!!! Second plumber who turned up the next day (Saturday night) took a few photos and said he would email the office to decide what could be done and would be back in touch on MONDAY. Nobody bothered to call so we had to call again and we were told that a special leak detection team would attend on the Tuesday and guess what? Yes nobody turned up. We eventually got a plumber from Dynorod to turn up on the Thursday and he lifted the floorboards up in the airing cupboard spotted the leak and repaired the problem. This plumber was called Lee Martin and he was amazing. He informed us to contact British Gas and Dynorod to register a complaint as the first plumber should’ve done what he did and we would not have been left with a substantial amount of damage to my dining room ceiling, carpet and also my hallway decor too. This all happened just before Christmas and we were unable to host Christmas dinner in our dining room due to the damp smell. All this could’ve been avoided had if the first plumber been competent enough to diagnose the issue. We are still waiting to see what you and Dynorod are willing to do to fix the damage and also compensate us for the upset and distress to us as a family with 2 autistic children. I await your reply

Good job

Jon called to say he was on his way and when he arrived he very quickly sorted the issue. He had come back after a previous visit with the parts he had ordered. Very pleasant and professional.

Central heating not working

Reported a fault with the central heating yesterday, an engineer came out and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly.
Engineer was very polite and professional.

MY LEAKING STUBORN RADIATOR VALVE The level of care and determination…

The level of care and determination carried out on this routine service was exceptional because an additional problem had just occurred with a radiator valve that had failed and was jammed and leaking.
It took a lot of effort to remove the valve mechanism and replace it with a new one and new valve.
Excellent attitude and determination to fix the problem.

Boiler broke down this morning

Boiler broke down this morning, frozen pipe, booked on line this morning at 10am and engineer at my door for 12:10..wow I was shocked lol, my daughter had same experience last week very quick and efficient. I have been with BG FOR 20 years or so, but this time service was impeccable. I think they have improved a lot recently .. before it would be like a weeks wait or so. May be it was my lucky day.. but I have had other family member saying things positive about BG now .. please keep up the good work and the quick appts .. thank you .. we are quick to put on a negative review but I felt postive review is just as important. Most of 2nd jan holiday period.

Annual Service & Repair

Just had Annual Service but was experiencing a few problems, but part changed, things explained & service completed by very efficient, friendly Engineer, would definitely recommend & I do like having piece of mind!

Engineer very knowledgeable and quickly identified the issue and soon had the part replaced and heating and hot water running. Great service and an insurance policy that actually does what it says.

Intermittent fault

Fast response to call out
Excellent engineer
Diagnostic skills very good
Found underlying fault that could have been catastrophic awaiting quote for new boiler either today or tomorrow, hopefully good quote as vulnerable persons live in household

Cheque keeps going to dead man's address

This cowboy organisation keep sending a refund cheque to my dead Uncle's address despite providing everything to their 'bereavement' team. Customer unhelpful team lie through their back teeth and are incompetent beyond belief. Still waiting for cheque from November. Wake up British Gas and pull your finger out!

UPDATE - the reply from British Gas below highlights their incompetence, the cheque is going to the wrong address, the name is not the primary issue. Live chat is utterly pointless as your advisors pass the buck, lie or talk a complete load of twaddle. I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account, so what is the email address of your CEO or someone in your senior management team? What about a direct telephone number whereby two people can engage in a sensible conversation like we used to do?

Liars.. Price tariff requested quoted.. Put me a completely different one. Most profit for them.. Don't trust them! on the

Failed me for months on several accounts.
Caused me so much stress and ill health.
Not taking my complaints.
Rude call handlers who put the phone down on you when you ask to put a complaint in or speak to a manager.
Quoted me a price and putting me on a different tariff although.
Quoted a direct debit date and not obiding to it.
Total liars.
Don't trust British gas.
Everything the quoted me was a lie and put me on the most expensive money taking tariff ever!
They are legailized crooks.
Hours of my time wasted on the phone and they never tell you the truth.
Failed on so many accounts!
Now wonder you don't have a complaints email department.
Would I recommend British Gas. Hell No!
