I personally can’t fault the service I received.

Matthew fitted our EV wall charger on Friday 27th Dec on a cold dismal damp day.

He remained cheerful and obliging and after supplying hi
m with mince pies and biscuits and copious cups of tea I have to say despite horrible weather he did a really excellent neat job. First class.

He explained the system and the Eon Home App in detail and gave me the choice of various options in regard to status charging lights etc.

I wasn't getting my EV until the following day but he was able to demonstrate the functions using a special plug -in control box.

Bonus I got 3 R/Fid cards to unlock and lock charging too.

All in all an excellent tidy and neat job all done in a cheerful manner despite the weather. Thanks Matthew.

We’ve decided to install an EV charger with e-on drive.. the survey was remote and was easy and completed in about 15 minutes with a very friendly engineer.. we have had to allow the district electricity distribution company to inspect our supply to our home which has been completed around 3 weeks ago but since we have had no follow up from anyone to inform us on progress or when fitting dates can be made..we understand that the Christmas season is upon us,and conditions have to be met regarding the installation of the charger. Hopefully we’ll be able to have the charger installed shortly.

A warning - not only is it impossible to contact a human, it is also heartless: E.ON forced a mother and daughter out of their new social housing flat by deducting their prepayment meter top-ups to settle the debt of a previous tenant. It unleashed debt collectors on a tenant with special needs over a bill owed by a stranger. It hounded a hospice patient on his deathbed while refusing to allow his sister to settle his final bill. And a sick elderly widower stopped heating his home and cooking food when threatened with legal action over a £13,000 bill that belonged to someone else.

From the initial enquiry to the fitting every communication has been professional and friendly. The fitter was excellent working around the problems and issues he came across to ensure I was left with a fully fitted and working charger.

Switched from Octopus Energy - not worth it!!!

Switched from Octopus Energy. It has now been close to 3 weeks, and I am still not on the tariff I requested to switch too. As an EV owner, I am paying through the roof on the EON regular tariff to charge my car.
Every time you try to ask for support you, you get fobbed off about waiting for a couple more days for them to sort things…
Not worth switching, with the customer support you receive here. Think twice before moving to EON.

Rude condescending incompetent

Rude, condescending, incompetent staff. I told them a month before moving to a new address.

They asked for my new address to switch the supply to new property. Which they failed to do and now are saying they didn’t have explicit permission from me

Even when i chased it up and asked them to switch back asap to my old tariff which I fixed to save money, they kept wasting my time saying there has been an error, they showed no interest in doing this. So i’ve lost out on my cheaper tariff

Not only this their staff have an attitude problem, they are rude and don’t even read account history/details.

Failed to set up my direct debit to pay off balance despite double checking with them too

In comparison I contacted Octopus and it took them 1 working day to switch over and their team are a delight. Compared to the frankly rude and pathetic customer service at EON. In particular their complaints handler Raph

On 30th of December I got a bill…

On 30th of December I got a bill (please see attached a photo). £1748.98. I called to eon and they said it is a mistake. Customer service didn’t have explanation about it.
Shocking bill. Will try to post it in every media as bill came from Eon company and customer service said it is just small mistake
It is 2nd of January and Unfortunately nobody reply yet.

Do not trust eon

We moved into our house two years ago, the previous owners left without settling their bill. We wrote to eon telling them the address of the previous owners solicitor and asked them to stop sending bills requesting settlement to the previous occupants at our address. They passed on details to a debt collection agency and we had to deal with them too. Since then we keep receiving bills for the previous occupants and now the occupants before that. Eon don't seem bothered that this is happening. Apart from the worry they are sharing details of the previous occupants which is unforgivable.
