Homebase Kings Heath

Served By Sharon at King's Heath branch.
As always she is available for any information regarding products, if she does not know, she finds out from colleagues or info from product.
She always has a smile and brightens the store up with her personality and attitude.
Will keep coming back due to level of service.

Terrible service

Terrible service, 1st order arrived two weeks ago, items were damaged. Confirmation of 2nd order today, click and collect, called into branch to collect to be told they tried ringing me, no missed calls on my phone. Not all items available can’t get them for a few weeks, can’t do a stock transfer within the region In a nut shell, I’ll shop elsewhere

Excellent Service

Had a really positive experience today in homebase. I needed to get some paint mixed and wasn't sure exactly what I needed but was assisted by Justin. He was really helpful and very chatty and sorted exactly what I wanted. It was so nice to be served by someone so pleasant and helpful - thank you.

Today I did the shopping at Home Base Kings Heath. It was a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and willing to help you. Sharon, the smiling, friendly lady at the cash register with a very positive vibe made my day start very pleasant. Thank you.

Clearance sqle

After finding little or no stock available on childrens storage in clearance notification found other items at my local store. Order placed online and in stock. Notification given for collection next day and picked up instore. Thanks. Items as described.

Super helpful staff and great selection of plants!

Visited the store recently looking to buy some new plants. Was in the dark about what plants would suit my needs but my experience was made super easy by helpful member of staff called Jenny. She went out of her way to advise me and whilst I left the store overbudget I was a very happy new plant owner and will be returning again!

Damaged item

The person bringing my item to the front counter dropped it off the trolley. I asked if it was OK & he said it was fine. Got it home & it was terribly damaged. Not just from the drop but clearly had had something dropped on it at some point. On returning the first colleague I spoke to was *very* doubtful that it was damaged on collection (I brought it back immediately). The lady who had seen the drop was very kind & patient though did a refund rather than offer to find me a new item. She then told me to go & get my own new item from the shelves (a large, heavy box) rather than getting a staff member to help. All.sorted in the end & new item wasn't damaged. They shouldn't have brought the other item in the first place, the box was obviously dented in several places.

I visited today with 2

I visited today with 2, three year old children, we came shopping for plant bulbs, which we found straight away. We had a wander round the shop, children looking at all sorts of things. The younger man outside was really helpful with the reduced plants I wanted and answered my random questions about other plants. The children absolutely loved the Halloween display, the shop was quiet and Sharon encouraged them and pointed out other parts of the display, she took the time to show them the talking witches hat, which they loved. A lovely experience, great to be made to feel so welcome, especially with young children.

All the staff were great. In particular Sharon who served me with a smile on her face first thing in the morning!
Sharon was very approachable, had a warm and welcoming demeanor. She was polite, courteous,accommodating ,professional and most of all genuine!

Five star friendly & professional service!

Mandy was really helpful from start to finish and pointed out that ordering the item I needed online with collection in store would also earn me 10% off my first order. Salim was also extremely helpful in bringing my item from the warehouse and helping process the collection. Great friendly and professional service all round.

Justin, Zahid, Jenny, and Robin went out of their way to help me with my click and collect order, which wasn't due till the day after, right before store closure time. Very friendly and helpful staff! :)

ORDER NOT READY. Disappointed

I received the message and arrived in store after 5 minutes. The order wasn't ready so the taxi driver charged me extra for the wait time. This has happened to me numerous of times, i receive the message order ready to be collected but never is and ive lost out on money because of taxi wait. The order arrived 20 minutes after.

Kings Heath Homebase - I'll give it a miss thanks.

Visited Kings Heath Homebase as it had advertised Christmas Baubles in stock, so travelled to store to view specific baubles to check the colours and purchase. There wasn't a Christmas item on the shop floor.
The store was dirty and needed a sweep. Only 2 other customers in the Garden centre part and it was hard to find a member of staff. So after a little wait by the customer service desk a member of staff appeared but only to carry on picking up a bag from behind the desk and was very uninterested and dismissive of me. She interrupted me whilst asking..and told me not to even bother about asking about anything Christmas related. She went on to say they are backed up with boxes of trees and she wouldn't be able to get to anything else. Then whilst walking away she muttered over her shoulder that there was not point trying click and collect from that store either. It would be at least a week. So I had no choice but to order online with an added £6 delivery cost. Needless to say I won't be visiting that store again. I might stick my neck out and say a review of customer service training wouldn't go amiss in that store.
I did email online customer service as I was quite annoyed at the journey I'd made and the response I'd got. They very kindly did away with my postage costs and the items were received the next day. To which I was very grateful.
So, Kings Heath branch..from the customers perspective I think you fall very short in manners and respect and get your act together and as well as cleaning up your act, clean up your store.
