Very poor service, good installer
Ordered our blinds through Parkland because of a credit that came with the purchase of our new home. The service experience was so bad that we were VERY close to considering taking our business elsewhere and leaving the $1500 credit behind. We placed an order which arrived in 5 weeks but was measured incorrectly. We waited for months for the new cut, with no word of an ETA. The second batch came and half were cut incorrectly. So we had half our blinds downstairs and temporary ones upstairs. The staff at Parkland would not return our calls, after saying they will get back to us. After waiting almost half a year the remainder of our blinds came, but one bedroom was missing handles. We made SEVERAL calls to get the required handles, and we kept hearing "We will let you know when we can get it to you.", but no return calls were ever made. After weeks of waiting we were offered a different colour handle, which we refused. Over half a year after the initial order, and many many phone calls, we finally had everything we ordered. I don't know if we were given such poor service because of the home builder credit, but we will certainly never offer Parkland another dollar in the future.
The contracted installer did a good job, and was the only person to ever apologize to us, despite the fact that none of the incorrect measurements, false promises, and unreturned calls were his fault.
