Talk Talk have been happily charging my parents £40 a month for sub 5mb broadband for years. It works about 60% of the day. Talk Talk claim it’s nothing to do with them, despite rock solid home Wi-Fi signal with a modern router/new filters/dedicated line, but the internet just disappears. Pointless customer service.

I will never recommend talk talk to anyone who wishes to use internet. I am sad I selected them I have waited since 2nd December just for a house move and currently with them on the unteenth call on 27th December. Now they are asking me to wait till 17th January. Is there any other provider who can give me internet before that. They promised 10 to 14 days but now already 20 days passed 🤮 every time I call some customer care officer do something idiotic and still can’t connect having all the hardware available.

Started a contract in August with gift card offer, still no gift card. Escalated with talk talk and was told would receive within 5 working days... That was at the beginning of December! I don't seem to be alone on this issue, but really disappointed as the voucher offered was a factor going with TalkTalk and we hoped it would help us out for Christmas! Giftcloud status still just says pending, talk talk have been quick enough to take the DD since August though

I have had trouble with my WiFi since the 12th dec.
I’m currently doing a degree.( my work I could not complete) I don’t have access to usual TV due to poor reception.i watch through WiFi.On the 19
th they admitted there was a fault. 24th engineer came and requested a new modem and router. TalkTalk booked another appointment for the 27th to replace the router and modem. The engineer turned up and had no router. I am now without WiFi again. The whole experience has been shocking. Had to as for extensions on assignments and had to relocate for Christmas. I never received a call from them until I stated I wanted to cancel my contract. Communication between departments is unacceptable and quite frankly is a waste of my time and the engineers.

Appalling customer service

After being with Talk Talk for several years, I have just had to switch provider mid contract because of their almost none existent customer service.
My broadband worked great for years, then two weeks ago, Wi-Fi started to drop out. After registering a fault online, Talk Talk’s automated service suggested we unplug the router for 20 minutes then restart it. This worked but only for an hour or two before it dropped out again. This went on for a day or so, before I tried to contact Talk Talk’s, and that’s when the frustrations started. They try to encourage you to use online chat, which I did and 40 minutes later there was still no sign of a representative. So I tried to phone them, and was in a queue for an hour before giving up. I tried the online chat again, and an hour later was still waiting for a human being to connect with me. I eventually got to deal with a human later that evening via messenger.
After 2 hours of back and forth messages with the representative, I was told that the internet service was fine and the problem lay with either the position of my router (which hadn’t moved in 5 years), or it was a fault with the setting on my devices (obviously all my devices were at fault, as everything went down at the same time). When I said I wasn’t happy with his response, he said he would raise the matter with a manager who would get back in touch with me (it’s now been 5 days and no sign of any contact with said manager).
In the end I accepted defeat, and in order to get a reliable service signed up with another provider. It’s going to cost me £50 or so to end my contract, but my new provider has offered to cover that. I’m also now getting full fibre at more than twice the speed as before, for £4 a less a month than with Talk Talk.
So Talk Talk, you’ve lost a long standing loyal customer, who will never return or recommend your company to anyone.

Overcharged me - AGAIN!

Following a transfer of my account from Shell broadband, they overcharged me for the handover period and it took a lot of effort to get a refund. I have since cancelled my account. In November they took the final direct debit payment covering the period up to the cancellation date plus an extra day. Now they have charged me for another month. This company are continual overchargers - avoid them like the plague!

Login to your account every day I guess is the solution

I've cancelled my contract with talk talk 8th of October. Payments were done throuhg direct debit, which I did not cancel. Got an email today because of balance on my account that needs to be paid and how that's impacting my score credit.

How am I supposed to know about that payment if they didn't tell me? I didn't cancel the direct debit, but I guess they decided to report me instead of letting me know.

Don’t use TalkTalk

Since my service was installed on the 4th November I’ve had at best 6 days of uninterrupted service.
The problem has occurred due this joke of a company knowingly sending out faulty routers.
Getting through the their customer service is painful.
I’m not sure how they still trade.

One of the worst experiences with customer support

I recieved an offer from Sky £10 cheaper than my current TalkTalk price including a £50 gift card. Upon speaking to a Talktalk advisor he offered me £5 for the first 3 months and then a fair price for a 2 year contract.

The £5 for 3 months sounded great, this swayed me to stay with TalkTalk, he sent me a contract to sign confirming this was the offer, I agreed and signed.

Upon recieving a confirmation email it stated I will get a £5 discount on my first 3 full price bills. I brought this up with the advisor but they seemed confused. They would not honour the deal I had just signed and essential broke his contract I had agreed to. I was made to pay the full price with the £5 discount.

The advisor acknowledged that he had made a mistake but would not honour the contract I had just signed.

Very unproffesional experience, If i were to break any of my contract I would surely be bombarded with threats and extra charges, yet it can be changed as they want to suit them.

I would not advise anyone to deal with this company as they will trick you will long terms and conditions which luckily on this day I decided to read.

Avoid at all costs.

Fibre

We had fibre fitted yesterday, the fitters were polite and efficient, there the praise stops.
Suppose to reach every room we live in a former bungalow, it’s not available upstairs, when I tried to contact talk talk I was on the phone for ages then , they sent me a one time email, I didn’t receive it, then a message to my mobile, I didn’t receive it, that’s how good the fibre is , then after waiting to talk to a technician the call dropped out . Absolutely wish I hadn’t gone with them, every one I talk to has had a bad experience with them

The most awful 'service' I've ever experienced. Do not use talktalk. They will never resolve issues or help with appalling internet speeds, just keep fobbing you off and threaten you when you want to cancel. Dreadful. Truly dreadful

Where do I start ?

Where do I start ?
To summarise I am showing on my Bill statement as making over 500 calls from a landline that is barred from making calls, as well as having no hand set to make calls on. The situation has been escalated but without a solution, promises made and promises broken. TalkTalk sadly do not seem to have the experience in its workforce.

Having left a 5* review on Nov 2

Having left a 5* review on Nov 2, 2024. I'm afraid that I have had to now leave a 1* review. Good service was too good to be true.
I moved house. Prior to moving I was told that I would need to move to Full Fibre as the previous service was not available in my new home.
This was no issue though as the service was cheaper at £24 per month, there would be no contract breakage charges and they offered me 1/2 month rental credit of £12.
However, having signed up they informed me I would need to contact them after the move for the credit to be applied.
As you would imagine this was impossible and I raised a complaint which dealt with and the credit was increased to £20. Fine.
However, on checking the credit had been applied, I had been hit with a contract breakage charge of £86.18. This will be taken at automatically at Christmas! Awful.
