Absolutely Excellent Table!

We had our eye on the transformer table for a while, there was an excellent sale around Christmas so we pulled the trigger, we have a smaller home and a 3 person family, we can keep the table with one leaf and both benches to accommodate our day to day living which has freed up a lot of space in our kitchen/dining area. It is also way easier to be able to pull out when family and friends visit and fits the space without being too bulky or cumbersome. Love our purchase, and the wood finish is beautiful and looks great in our home!

Great table, great service. Reliable delivery. Rep Michael from costumer support pleasure to work with. Although it did take longer time to receive due to the volume of orders they received, but i didnt mind the wait. Delivery guy helped me to carry them in the house even though he was not suppose to. Gotta get the coffee table now to store the table pieces. (waiting for a discount))

My wife and I spent more years than I can recall (I am getting old) searching for a well-built table that expands from being very small to being large enough to seat our family at holiday meals. We have a large family. One dining room table is not enough but we do not have two dining rooms. We finally found it in Transformer Table, designed and sold by a company full of wonderful people up in Canada. Ours was made with great skill and care in Viet Nam.

Ours is superbly manufactured from gorgeous natural acacia (mahogany and enameled finishes also are available), with tight joints and solid metal hardware.

Most importantly, the table is a near perfect 37.5 inches wide and it expands from a mere 18 to 118 inches long, by adding up to five 20 inch inserts. The table can be stored unobtrusively against a wall or anything in between. We use it as a square game table.

HOWEVER, those inserts are not inflatable so they occupy space when being stored. Our table came with a matching acacia coffee table with slots inside that hold the five insert slats. In my opinion, the coffee table is even more beautiful than the table, but it requires 40" x 34" of floor space. We use ours as an end table next to a reclining sofa. It runs just about a perfect distance from the front of the seat to the wall.

I suspect that I may come across like a "shill," but I do not often get excited about physical possessions and other "stuff." Perhaps it is because I have grown so weary of second-rate goods that quality merchandise raises my spirits. Also, the company had to jump through hoops and do headstands to get this shipment of products to its customers because, as some may have noticed, there has been a pandemic in Asia that arrived in North America about the same time as the tables. This complicated even routine transit across the Canadian-U.S. border.

In sum:

Great product, wonderful people, full value and more for our money.
I look forward with anticipation to any new products they produce.

We absolutely love our Transformer table! We don't have an extremely large house and the table and bench make it so much easier to have family and friends over for celebrations now! Staff that have contacted us have be extremely nice and helpful! Would highly recommend ;)

Very excited about my Transformer Table purchase! My fiancé and I have recently combined homes and, with us moving every couple years for work we’re never sure what type of space we are going to be moving into. This table allows us to modify our table to fit the space that we are currently living in, and also to expand when we are entertaining or have family visiting. We purchased the American Mahogany color, and the color is as pictured online. We ordered the table and 1 bench, and it was easy to set up with my fiancé and I alone. This is solid wood, putting the leaves in is easy, and I look forward to being able to entertain with it soon!!

Wow, I'm super impressed. Not only is the product itself great, but the entire process of ordering and receiving it was uncommonly good. The TT team was communicative, responsive, and evenly proactively reached out to check in throughout the process. The delivery was smooth (scheduled at our convenience) and it was super easy to unpack and set up. It looks just like it does in the pictures, and it's so solid that my husband and I were able to stand on it and dance together without so much as a wobble. I totally recommend.

Great product, worth the wait... I ordered my transformer table at the begining of December 2019, but due to delivery of the wood, I had to wait until March 16 to receive it!!

I had to contact the support team 2 or 3 times for updates, but those where always answered rapidly and cordialy.

I hope to keep it for the rest of my life... it's really well made and was really well protected for the delivery!
I recommand it to anyone who loves to invites people home and have a good diner around the table!!

Communication and delivery updates have been improved dramatically since the 1st table we ordered almost 3 years ago. Table arrived firmly packaged in a fully assembled state with no imperfections or quality issues.
Very pleased with the overall experience and product purchased. Great deal for the promotional pricing and 100% real hardwood.

I finally got my order delivered last week after waiting 4 1/5 months for it! And I have to say, the product was well worth the wait.

The customer service team was excellent each time I called in for a status update. They understood my needs and even allowed for me to make an additional purchase with the discount given to me by the long wait time. This additional purchase was entered in smoothly into my order and combined into the current shipment.

Which leads me into the packaging and shipping portion. Not only did it come on a robust pallet...the boxes were very sturdy. Inside the boxes, there was so much foam and wrap that it safely all arrived with no issues. Not even a scratch, dent, nothing. Pristine condition.

The pieces work so well with my home. I want to thank you all (down to the custodian) for making these beautiful works of art that will entertain many gatherings and be the center piece of my memories.

We ordered our Transformer Table and benches and storage coffee table November 2019 and took delivery March 2020. While we experienced some earlier miscommunications relative to availability of the product and delivery as originally promised, yet the final product was definitely worth the wait. We love it! It looks great! It is functional and well built. Looking forward to many years of good use. Went from a fan to frustrated and disappointed and finally landed in the raving fan space. As a young company they had some wrinkles to work out, but the end product has made all of that a thing of the past. We worked through them and are so happy we did!

We ordered a Siberian Birch Transformer Table and experienced great customer service and delivery within 10 days. Being able to adjust the size is important for us as we have different numbers of people over frequently. We also love that it is durable and we can put drinks and basically anything on it without hurting the surface. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because I can't use it for a writing surface. It is necessary to use a notebook or clipboard or something similar to be able to do any writing. However, it is classified as a table and not a desk, so as a table, it earns a 5 star rating.

BUYERS BEWARE: This company has lied to us repeatedly and now we are being completely ignored. We still have no table 8 months after purchasing. We spent well over $1500 and have nothing to show for it...yet we still see ads every day saying they are fulfilling orders within a two weeks timeframe. We have called, emailed, and even contacted a lawyer because this is starting to get scary. Please please please do your research and learn from other victims who have been taken advantage of. There are facebook pages flooded with horror stories of people waiting years for their products. There are crowdfunding sites with comments from individuals who purchased the product in 2017, and still do not have anything. There are also a handful of individuals who are fighting for their warranties to be honored since they received damaged products.

I firmly believe the positive reviews on this forum are fake. Take notice of how many reviews are blurred out. This is because Transformer Table has reported the comment to Trust Pilot, thus blurring it until Trust Pilot can review each individual comment & deem it legitimate. Please please please heed our warning, and do not fall victim like we have.

With a growing family (grandkids and daughter-n-laws) we were in need of an extendable table. Day to day there are just 2 of us so we did not need a large table taking up space all of the time. We began to search for a table that could extend and collapse without much effort. I had something in mind but just could not find it. We needed a table that was well made and could hold up to weekly family dinners and beyond. During my search, I found the Transformer Table with a video that really caught my attention. This was exactly what I was looking for, a table that could easily extend to accommodate our large family but could EASILY convert to a 4 seater for everyday use. We purchased the black set (including 2 benches) and could not be more pleased. The table and benches are excellent quality and extremely durable. We’ve had the table for a couple months now and are still amazed at the quality and functionality. We love the set and would highly recommend it. The customer service has been excellent as they have returned calls if not available at the time of my call. Great overall experience. We will look forward to future innovations by this company. I bought this table a year ago, and right from day 1 I had warping and cracking on the panels. The table did not fit together properly. I was assured I would receive a replacement, but they had to be produced first. I'd call back every month, asking for an update, and be reassured everything was moving along. Finally, after 10 months, I was told the color was no longer made and I wouldn't be getting a replacement.

Edit: From what I can tell below, it looks like Transformer Table is taking the strategy of aggressively reporting negative reviews on this site to try to temper its bad rating. Instead of expending resources responding to customer inquiries, quality control and handling quality issues, they would rather obfuscate the critical response. Shameful.

The table itself is of acceptable quality. It isn't MDF, but the quality of wood and finish leaves a lot to be desired. It's soft and will not handle use well. Regardless, the design has some ingenuity and it largely does what it is marketed to do. However, the pieces don't fit together well (I'm on a second generation version), and many of the panels fit together in a very clunky way. I was unlucky enough to have two panels with issues: 1) the panel was manufactured with the screws placed in an angle, and the first time we tried to lock the panels in, it ripped the latch screws out and 2) one of the panels was not fitted/cut well and flat is effectively impossible to lock in place.

None of this would be that big of a deal if Transformer Table didn't effectively abandon you after purchase. I had backed them in Kickstarter, and they were over a year late on delivery. I explained to them the issues that I had after it was finally delivered, and they swore they would handle it once they got caught up. Fast forward almost a year later, and I reached out again since I never heard from them.

I've sent a total of 5 emails and made 4 phone calls. Every one of the emails has been read, typically right away, but I have yet to get a response almost two weeks later. Despite having a phone number on their website, it will never be answered. You can leave a message all you want, but it won't be returned.

This company is standard fare for Kickstarter, online marketed products. They don't care about their long term reputation and will ghost you once they've given you a tracking number. Don't think this is a high quality product you'll be able to rely on with a reputable manufacturer that will back it up.

I'm not sure what to do now, especially how long it's been. Really sad that these types of operations get away with putting out shoddy work like this with no repercussions.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. They do not honour their 2 year warranty. Our table is less than a year old (bought in Jan 2019, delivered in March 2019) and the panels started warping a few months later which exposed the hardware that connects the panels together. The gaps have now widened to over half a cm! We have been communicating with customer service since September 2019 about this; only with false promises and requests for more time to discuss with management. We started with just one panel warping, but now 4 panels have warped; and it's getting worse. We need to pry apart the panels with wedges, and some panels cannot connect at all. We attempted to settle for $600 in Dec which at the time seemed very fair given the tables were on sale for a discount that’s about the same value.  They counter-offered $200. That was offensively low seeing how the hardware doesn't align, it's difficult to open/close the clips, and food constantly gets stuck in the cracks. I have since retracted the $600 offer because now we have a useless panel that cannot connect at all. TT stated they cannot replace the panels because we chose a limited edition colour and the panels don't exist anymore, BUT they also won't offer a new table. The only option they're giving us that won't cost us more money is giving us MIS-MATCHING panels. How is that a fair offer? You sold us a faulty product - take some responsibility!  TT never disclosed to us that we would have warranty issues with purchasing a limited edition colour.  I am not the type of person to make complaints on public forums, but I cannot get their attention otherwise.   TRANSFORMER TABLE, I am furious and very disappointed. If you want to make this right, stop telling me you're reviewing with management and not responding back to my emails with fair and reasonable solutions that won't cost us more money. Do you understand that if we don't exchange our table for a new one, the bench and the storage unit is essentially useless? I've attached a photo of their manager who told me to expect new panels in Dec before the holidays... that was a lie. TT, TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR FAULTY PRODUCT.

I searched for a table for a year and just liked the look of this one. Once settled on the TT table, I then searched reviews. There's an entire FB page called I Hate TT. Numerous other complaints in the comment sections under their ads. I called Canada direct and ordered through a person that would be accountable. I received my table in a reasonable time frame, it came packaged well without issues. It's beautiful and easy to adapt. I can do it by myself. However, a crack developed in a bench leaf that is clearly a mfg defect. I emailed them with pictures. After 3 weeks of no response, I sent out another email. The response was ridiculous, more pictures, proof of this and that. I got the distinct impression they were putting me off. Then out of no where the Rep I was working with called and asked for a review. I said only if my cracked leaf gets addressed. The rep assured me my email had been sent to the right dept. The next day I got a phone message saying they are back ordered and don't know when replacement would be back in. No confirmation my leaf will be replaced altho I assume it will be and no time frame for delivery. Bottom line, after well over a year they still have issues with customer service. Sad when it's such a nice product. For some that could be a turn off.

They are a new company with an amazing product and like all new companies have gone thru growing pains but have always worked to make things the best for the customer as they can. Love the product and the ability to make is fit the occasion at hand.

I have had my table for almost a year. The slats are separating, they don’t come together flush at all. The paint is chipping on my birch grey. I have been fighting with the company since May to get replacement parts and have yet to have had them delivered.
I asked for a refund of my table and they are still refusing to answer. Their customer service is horrendous and I believe this company won’t survive, for this reason I would not recommend them at all.
