Walmart refused to give me back a refund from an online order I never received! It's been over a week, they mentioned they would escalate the call to start a refund, and have someone contact me back within 2-3 days. It's been over a week, called and they mentioned it wasn't processed properly and will have someone contact me again.

I was sold a dysfunctional phone by Walmart.ca (the internal antenna issn't working -- can't receive phone calls and text messages). The phone was certified refurbished. They say it is still on the Samsung manufacturer warranty, which is another lie. I went to see Samsung and they told me the phone has been out of warranty for 1 YEAR, because it is refurbished. So, I was sold a dysfunctional phone and I was lied about it being still under warranty. I offered Walmart to make things right by extending their return policy, but they refused with typical AI-generated copy-pasted emails.

Asurion the warranty provider were very easy to contact and deal with, even though our 2 yr old Sony Bravia tv quit 2 days b4 Christmas. They took take of the claim in a timely manner. And sent full payment promptly after receiving the repair report. I highly recommend.

I made a purchase and although sold and shipped by Walmart they charged me $45 to send it to the store. When I tried to cancel the order their "system was down" I got robbed.

My Rights Violated and was Treated Like a Criminal

UPDATE: Now the store thinks I have a mental health problem. From reading all of these other complaints, I now realize there is no point in fighting with them or getting mad. They're not worried their reputation as the company is still making enough money.

It doesn't matter how good of a customer you are, they'll still treat you like a criminal if the staff members' paranoia kicks in. No, this has nothing to do with shoplifting or exhibiting hostile behaviour. What happens if they unknowing treated a secret shopper this way? I can only imagine how true my co-workers' claims about how bad of an employer is. The manager on duty claims she's justified to treat customers this way because it (her) private property.

A. Wrighteous
If this manager is this rude to me as a regular customer, I wonder what it'd be like to work under her. I will NEVER shop at Walmart again!!! Not worth the risk of getting a "fake" criminal record.

Is this the head store manager? Where is your PM button? How can one manager have such a different take on (this) situation? I don't trust what is going on behind the scenes while I wait for a response. As long as the m.o.d., the 6' tall Indian girl, and the 5'7" tall Indian girl who flipped out on me are still working there, there's not a snowball's chance in hell I'm giving that store any more of my frequently-spent money in there (or perhaps any Wlamart store).

The Canadian Walmarts could be next. Go to YouTube and type: "Walmart in deep trouble" . Let me speed things up by dandelion-seeding my anger throughout. She tried to take my phone and I lost data not relevant to her concern. I am NOT obligated to share my personal info with you.

As soon as I resisted letting her take the phone away from me, all 3 of them threatened to call the police on me. The 6' tall Indian girl stood in front of the exit gate and appeared that she would use physical constraints to prevent me from leaving. The Indian importees not only NOT know the Canadian law, but these Indian girls could be the holdover from the previous upper management that got fired due to hiring exclusively Indian workers. New Indian hirees get more hours than longer-tenured (non-Indian) workers.

As a frequent shopper of the Nanaimo, BC store, I'd expect to be treated with more dignity and given the benefit of the doubt. There was no voyeurism, shoplifting, aggressive behaviour, foul language on my part. Therefore, however right they may have for their concern is overpowered by their wrongs.

If only you did not disable your P.M. button I would've kept this b/n us. This took place at around 8:30 a.m. P.S.T..

I ordered two tablets for my granddaughters on Dec 8th as Christmas gifts, while I understand that it is a busy time of year it is now Jan 12th, tracking information was useless, Everytime I tried it says the system is down, I have sent numerous messages with no response what so ever, if I had known they wouldn't be there in time, I could have tried somewhere else or had my daughter in law purchase them for me, I went on the Kamloops Walmart to order them to be delivered in Kamloops, well over a month now....all I have been asking for is an expected delivery date.... to say I am frustrated is an understatement, these were Christmas gifts, one month to be delivered in the same city and it has taken this long? I don't understand, I have sent a ton of messages trying to get a response and I have received nothing! I just want to know when they will be delivered or a refund.... this is so unfair....

Ancaster Walmart cleanest store ever

Good morning I usually have not a lot of good things to say about Walmart stores and tend to stay away at all cost but today I visited the Ancaster Walmart and I have to say it was one of the cleanest non congested well laid out stores! The closest store to me is Burlington Walmart on Fairview street and let me tell you it’s like night and day…Burlington one is dirty and gross and checkouts are always at half capacity and employees everywhere with big carts doing online shopping and wiping out stock…no prices coincide with product just plain gross…Ancaster however is the model store…now if I have to visit Walmart Ancaster will be my go to…five stars to this store!

If I could give zero I would

If I could give zero I would. I purchased a Hatch alarm clock from Walmart.ca in November as a Xmas present. It arrived and I wrapped it. Xmas morning it was unwrapped and was the wrong colour, so go to the store to return it and they refuse because it was a "3rd party seller" (HATCH) and they could not refund my money. I then contacted Hatch directly who said they have to take the return and refund money. Go back to Walmart, show them the email exchange, their system "won't allow it as it is past 30 days" - This is UNETHICAL and complete BS! I will be escalating this to BBB and Walmart Canada. These corporate turds are ripping us off, with their ridiculous policies that are absolutely unjust and against store policy. I bought the frikkin item from Walmart online, not Hatch online! Give me my refund!!! I will NEVER, I repeat NEVER shop at a Walmart again, and I will tell everyone I know and every follower I have on socials what a travesty of a company Walmart Canada is. Disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Don’t make online orders from Walmart

I made an online order for an Everstart car battery from Walmart a couple months ago. It’s their policy that the payment would include $20 core fee in order to make people return the old battery to them for environmental purpose. On 7/1/2025 I took the old battery back to their location at Silver Linden Drive. The customer service staff said she could not give the core fee back to me because I purchased the battery from online and didn’t have the physical receipt. I showed her my order email with order number from Walmart as proof of purchase. She still refused my request. She paged the manager three times and I had been waiting for 20 minutes. The manager never showed up. I asked for the manager’s name but she refused to give it to me. Then I asked for her name and she showed me her name tag. She told me that I could take a photo of it. Her name was Fardos, not a common name that I could remember. When I took my cellphone out from my pocket she changed to say that I couldn’t take photo of her name tag and became very rude. Later, a lady(not the manager because I later found his name and photo on the wall as Paul) came to the front desk. She verified my purchase on their computer and gave me $20 gift card. I requested to have the core fee go back to my credit card but she refused. She said that she could cancel the gift card then I can contact the online department for the refund of the core fee. I didn’t want to go through the hassle all over again. The process made me become very frustrated but I had no choice and accepted the gift card. Why they kept on giving me hard time? Why people make online purchase from Walmart get penalized? Over 90% of the staff work at the Silver Linden store are from a specific ethnic group. Would it be the reason that the customer service there is particularly bad? Perhaps other people can tell.

As of this date been over a month of no delivery which includes from order date. No answers From anyone

Do not order online...

Do not order online just go to the store to make your purchases. We are trying the promotional 2 or 3 months free delivery and it has been nothing but problems. No one knocks, rings the bell or calls to let us know they are here, they have shown up over half an hour late, more than half the stuff we have tried to buy are out of stock and doesn't say so on the site. Tonight one of our food boxes were ripped open and when we called to speak to someone about it, we were instructed to print off the receipt and bring it in store for a refund. I should have just gone to the store to begin with. Would save a lot of hassle. I send them feedback each order, the last one I advised them to improve their service if they actually want me to pay almost $100 for delivery a year.

My rewards misteriously disappeared from my account. I called the number behind the card and waited for 55 minutes listening to mechanical messages and nobody spoke to me.
I entered in the chat online and a robbot told me to call another number. I called and after 40 mins wasting time the agent said he couldn't help me bcz i don't have a cellphone n. To give me the card they never told me I had to have a celphone.
Big waste of time and lots of stress and nobody helps you.

Tea Order cancelled just before pick up and price now raised on the product.

I ordered a few boxes of Walmart Our Finest Rooibos Tea on sale at .99 in late December 2024. The order went through with a pick up date January 6 2025. Today, Jan. 6, 2025, (the day that I was to pick up my order), I was sent an email by Walmart.ca advising me that they had cancelled the order. Upon a search of walmart.ca, I found the tea is very much available but now advertised at $2.77. This strikes me as dishonest on the part of Walmart and I will no longer be ordering on walmart.ca.

Third party seller not responding to an order placed, not received. Update review
Jan 02, 2025

1.0
Last October, we placed an order on the online Walmart website. We did not know that Walmart has third-party sellers selling items that show up on the Walmart flyer online.

We haven't been able to get a response from the seller after making several calls through customer service to get an answer as to why we did not receive our order. Tracking information is never updated and our order is on its way.

One email we got was telling us that our order was delivered. This seller is either not interested in selling or plainly stupid.

Loss:
$130

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Be aware of making purchases on line's Walmart web site. Third party sellers!

Won't match its own pricing!! Even at Christmas!

Walmart Price online was $100 less than in Walmart store. Asked manager to match price - reply "they don't do that". Said okay I'll use your online ordering to buy and take the product from the store. Reply "no" - has to be shipped from our warehouse. So with 3 days before Christmas the gift won't arrive in time - result - disappointment. Brutal company to deal with. Don't make your customers have to worry about Walmart's corporate accounting!! Do better Walmart

I am extremely frustrated with my…

I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience shopping at Walmart. First of all, the delivery was unbearably late. I ordered multiple items expecting them to arrive within the promised timeframe, but after waiting days past the expected delivery date, I finally received only a portion of my order. What's worse, some items were never delivered at all.

When I reached out to customer service about the missing products, they essentially washed their hands of the issue. They told me I was responsible for contacting the post office or delivery service myself to figure out what happened. It's completely unacceptable to leave customers to deal with lost or undelivered packages without any support. I expected Walmart to take responsibility for this, but instead, I was left with nothing but frustration and wasted time.

The lack of accountability and poor delivery service has made me seriously reconsider shopping here again. I won’t be returning anytime soon.
