I guess I should read reviews first and wouldn’t be conned by sleaze introductory offer. But ee slowly managed to increase my bills without me noticing as no communication at all about increases .

So now my bill is 50% higher than when started, which is criminal.
Can’t wait to end it and then never again.
By the way, wifi connection through out my house isn’t any better than other providers, and I tried few .

Moved broadband to EE from virgin. They promised to pay my early disconnection fee and it’s been a total nightmare. Apparently it was gonna be seamless but there is no sign of my money. Trying to get an invoice from virgin but they are rubbish as well. Don’t believe anything these guys promise, absolutely useless

I am absolutely furious - after receiving notification from BT that they were using EE, (a supposedly superior service with excellent customer service) I have been left with the worst service possible. My BT service worked 'ok', so I was excited to hear EE would be better. I'm now tied in to a 24 month useless service. I have purchased boosters to no effect. I did ask for an engineer to ensure everything worked as it should, but I had to be refunded as he came, plugged it in and left. This is so frustrating as CS are not interested. They test and say everything is fine. Well it's not. How do they get away with this?!!

BT to EE transfer. The most infuriating experience. At least FIVE very long phone calls to BT/EE to transfer over (this is at BT’s suggestion). Kit delivered and then BT requested we post it back because they needed to restart the order afresh (3 phone calls) but unclear reason why! Today after a 40 minute phone call and two weeks later told that a transfer over was not possible. A complete waste of time and resources. Different people each time and no continuity.

I have the 1.6 gb line total crap WAIST OF MONEY

I have the 1.6 gb line. On average i get 100 at best 300 mbps. Coverage is total crap in a bungalow i need 3 extenders to get coverage. Do not waist your time or money. EE try and blame the line providers. I think they have lied to me for the past year telling me the speeds are correct and telling me i have too many devices connect 3 ring door bells 3 Alexa and 4 lap tops of which 1 or 2 are used at one time. This service is a total joke hence 1.5 star that's nothing to be proud of. EE will tell you the speeds are good +/- 1300 mbps strange when open reach the providers of the line mentioned EE can not measure speeds on this line over 1GB, how on earth do EE warranty there min speed of 1300 when you cn test it or prove speed. EE by all means contact me re this post

Worst Internet Hotspot Ever!!! Avoid!!!

Me and my husband purchased one month of EE hot-spot voucher and we cannot stay connected for more than 5 minutes without loosing the connection... sometimes the option to login simply does not work. login page claims we are using the wrong username/password, but the passport is correct and saved in the computer... autofill... sometimes it simply just doesn't connect. We are so sad we spent 39£ in an Internet that does not work, we need Internet to study and we had to rely on our phones to get things done. DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR EE HOTSPOT VOUCHERS. IT IS USELESS.

Awful broadband

Read the small print

The worst decision I ever made was to switch.. I was told the fibre optic cable was going to be better..
The connection keeps dropping..
I would advise people not to look at the speed that they selling.. the speed is is with direct cable connection.. nothing to do with the rest of connections.
Absolutely disgusting

Unhelpful customer service

Several weeks ago I called EE customer services to discuss a cheaper broadband package, because I am in receipt of benefits. I had to change from SKY to another provider, when I moved house earlier this year, as SKY do not provide broadband at my new address. They make their services sound very good, and fair towards all customers, including those with special needs or lower income.
But when you actually call them to discuss it, they couldn’t be less helpful. The advisor tried to convince me that I had a very “ reasonably priced package”already, and that it would hardly make any difference. He was obviously not familiar with financial struggles, and the tone he used, made me feel like a “lower class”customer. Then there is also the hassle that one has to be connected to a BT advisor to arrange a different package, which makes it more complicated. But nevertheless, he had enough time to try and sell me a different deal on a new contract, but not cheaper. I gave up in the end to get anywhere with my request. I can honestly say that customer support is miles behind the support I used to receive from SKY. They have a dedicated helpline for disabled customers, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. If you have the choice, I would not recommend EE/BT.

I have been a long standing customer…

I have been a long standing customer with EE and it is Shambolic they seem incapable of getting anything right. from hidden charges. I managed to terminate my Broadband contract with them and returned the router as requested now they are harrasing me by text to return it and the tracking states that Royal Mail cannot deliver upon the instructions of EE. I have changed to Sky not only saving money but everything seems to be dealt with efficiently and without fuss.

Excellent experience with easy to access UK based customer services and saved me £50 per month

I had been with my well known satellite tv company for over 25 years and had broadband and phone with them for 5 years. The total cost was over £90 monthly and they were completely inflexible on reducing this to anywhere near what a new customer could expect when my contract ended.
I rang around but EE were easiest to contact and I saved £50 monthly, I have fast broadband, Now TV, have the ability to stream different channels in 2 rooms, Netflix included . I can also use my Amazon Video account directly from the tv.
It was all really easy to setup and when the equipment seemed stranded in Birmingham they immediately couriered me another one.

No hesitation in recommending .

I have been a long standing customer of…

I have been a long standing customer of EE since 2006. I decided to move from BT to EE and it was horrendous. Firstly I was offered a like for like package at £58 a month (they made a mistake and could not honour it) then I excepted their resolution £70 a month like for like with one month free. However, the BT WiFi extenders would not work with the EE router (although I was assured that they would) calling EE today, they wanted more money! An absolute joke of a company. I had to ask 8 times for my complaint to be documented. Reference: VOL013-912969402851

DIRE

DIRE. Contacting this company about their broadband service is almost impossible. You have to use a zoo of automated chat/AI/text/Bot mumbojumbo which (eventually) tells you to call them on 150. Then spend 20 mins waiting for someone to answer. They don't. All the while an insane recording tells you how great their customer service is!!!
Stay sane and use another provider.

I was to change from Virginia to BT/EE…

I was to change from Virginia to BT/EE on 2nd December. My order was for Broadband,TV and Landline Phone.
The Engineer came and fitted the Broadband,but left without setting up my TV or Phone .
I am Ninety years old so not very technical and living on my own the TV is my one source of entertainment.
When I phoned the Customer Service I was told they would have to put an order through to get the TV and Phone working.No TV and people who only have my landline number cannot contact me.
I’m not very mobile and it’s too cold for me to go out.
I now wish I had stayed with Virgin, it’s the old adage you get what you pay for.
In case BT/EE think this is not what happened to me , my order number was VOL013-906797014250 dated 5th December 2024.

Waited Far To Long to be Connected

So just a update from my last review. Eventually 45 days later my full fibre has been installed. I would like to thank the new customer service agent I spoke to last. He had only been on the job for 3 days and he did more for me than all the other agents I spoke to over the past month or so. EE your company needs to sort itself out. 45 days to get switched on is totally unacceptable. I have been promised compensation but I suppose I will have to be the one to call EE to chase this up.

DO NOT USE

Absolutely ridiculous I haven’t been able to use my Wi-Fi for 3 months now, missing the last 2 payments because of financial reasons I then paid the £103 as soon as I could to clear it which I would say was fair if I could have used the Wi-Fi. I received a letter in the post saying I had 7 days to pay it which I did as soon as I got the letter, thinking that would fix the problem, Nope they then decided to cancel my broadband and charge me another £153!! As a cancellation fee! That’s £256 for Wi-Fi I haven’t been able to use for 3 months, it’s supposed to be £30 a month! there is NO leeway no understanding. All they want is your money and won’t reason, I’m struggling with bills the last thing I need is for EE to cancel my broadband, now I have to dispute it because they say there’s nothing they can do…which lets be honest will get no where. All in all EE is a no good scamming broadband company.

Avoid! Do not purchase any service from them. Totally inadequate and not fit for purpose.

Signed up for broadband and TV package before moving into our home. Installation was done at the beginning of December, only managed to set up the TV box and broadband end of December - the broadband speed is completely inadequate for the TV package, unable to even properly load Netflix on their broadband! It is reminiscent of 56k modem dial-up speeds. Never had internet this slow before. Atrocious. Also have experienced frequent outages of service and interruptions (including over the new year eve celebrations). Why is there no alert over picking a TV package that the speed cannot handle? I called up to cancel today, as the service is not fit for purpose and they refused as apparently it was not done within the first 14 days. Spoke with ‘Matthew’ who was pleasant but very unhelpful and unsympathetic to the situation; he demanded £1000+ in cancellation fees to cancel today - despite the service not being fit for purpose - left with the only option to escalate via the official channels. Avoid this company!

Nothing but lies!

What is wrong with these people!
I was with Bt for 4 years and this time round when renewing my contract they made it clear that switching over to Ee was the better option, faster speeds for less than they could offer and newer equipment would be sent out. So I thought sure why not. Oh boy, you really get what you pay for!!
Within the first week I'd had to call and question my speeds as they were much slower than expected even slower than when I was with bt on a slower package! Also to see if I was being sent the new equipment I was told I'd receive. They restarted my router and blamed me for never restarting it for the slow speeds, nice. And thr new equipment, well that wouldn't be sent before everything was working so why would I need it. I asked if they could review my sales call which outline what I would get by switching, they really didn't want to do this and to open I complaint was challenging and pointless, as I had to also close it at the same time.
I was then told I'd be sent my new equipment, nope I was sent the wrong router and no WiFi mesh as expected.
A 2nd call to Ee and 3 or 4 people to then have someone apologise and say they will log my complaint and sent out thr new equipment even though I didn't need it as its all working! I did explain several times that the new equipment was not the same as the my current set up so I'd benefit from the new setup.
2 weeks later and still nothing. Why do EE feel it is acceptable to lie to their customers on every interaction.
Now looking for an alternative provider.

EE if you care about your customers please do what you say your going to do!

Two weeks an no service

Had full fibre fitted on the nineteenth. It still isn't working. The Boom operator refused to come back next day to make sure he plugged it in to the pole correctly . Engineer promised the boom operator would be back the following day and still did not come.
EE promised Openreach would come and fix it and no one came. Three days lost wages and no offer of compensation. I called again and they have no record of my call despite them sending me an emergency 4g modem so I can have some internet. Another EE/Bt operator raised it again with Openreach but they needed 48hrs for an engineer to be assigned. It has now been over 78 working hours even with xmas and no sign.
EE called me and were very apologetic that it hadn't been escalated or even raised with Openreach, They hadn't made the mistake of course it was Openreach so now they would escalate it themselves with Openreach. Which they had done before?
So another 48hrs before anyone is even assigned the job. So now with new years day it will be Friday before anyone even looks at my case again. What will they offer next thoughts and prayers?

Useless Awful Company. AVOID

Second time in a number of weeks we've had no Internet! Firstly they didn't even send a hub for installation so when the engineer finally turned up late and drilled holes in my walls there was nothing to connect. Weeks without internet and when I finally got a hub after SO MANY PHONE CALLS it goes down on Christmas morning ruining Christmas and still not fixed! Im trying to hotspot off my phone but thats useless (also EE) and Internet speed is shocking and is used to run our tv so can't even watch that! Engineer unavailable until 2nd January, IF they even turn up. Had to cancel a trip to Scotland to be in for them.. hate this company. Was with SKY for 13 years no problems and now completely regretting my choice to move. Very unhappy and desperately want to leave but in contract. What can I do!?

Twelve days of no broadband - in central London!

We've had an MSO, i.e. a Mass Service Outage, since December 18th (12 days and counting) with several 'false start' promises of repair. This is in Bayswater, central London! On the phone, EE say the storm was the cause; BT engineers say different ("...they'll say anything on the phone..."); it is, one way or the other, a currently broken network. So much for the "UK's favourite network".
