Wish I could give a 0 star as seems there are a ton of FAKE reviews on here . I did the phone interview ( super hard Sale ) they wanted $20,000. For the program but when I said no way on that amount they started bargaining . Finally at 1,000. They took my credit card. They asked me to write an essay of my goals . I did it just after I got off the phone . They promised after I turned in the essay there would be a confrence call and some materials emailed to get the ball rolling . Well they totally Ghosted me after they got the $1,000. Not even an acknowledgment they received it . I tried to make contact over and over but the sent no materials nor returned any form of contact. They even had it fixed so my bank wouldn’t do a refund. I was just RIPPED OFF for $1,000. This is a SCAM RUN ! I will post this as many places as I can these kind of people should be put in Jail as a hard working business person we work so hard for every penny and these shysters just steel it ! Hope karma gets them !

You initially spoke with Morgan on my team on June 28, 2021, where you asked for a free Strategy Session. On July 3, 2021, you were gifted that free Strategy Session with Doris on my team; she granted you a full hour and 45 minutes to discuss your scar blemish and wrinkle erasure business. At that point, you said you wanted to retain our PR services, for which we charge $20K. You wanted to take advantage of our discounted pricing, so to lock in that discount, you chose to make a 7-day non-refundable deposit of $1K. You signed a contract agreeing to the terms (that the deposit was good for 7 days, and it was non-refundable.)

We then made the following attempts to reach you to support you in fulfilling your commitment to gaining publicity for your business:
July 4, 2021: Doris emailed you information about our funding partner, as you said you might want to take advantage of that
July 6, 2021: Doris sent you your first assignment
August 1, 2021: Doris called and texted you
August 29, 2021: Doris called and texted you
September 25, 2021: Doris called you and left you a voicemail
October 26: Doris called you and left you a voicemail
November 8: Doris called you and left you a voicemail
Nov 15: Doris called you and left you a voicemail

On each of those outreach attempts, Doris offered to make an exception to the 7-day deposit expiration if it was helpful for you, so that you could move forward with getting PR for your business. You chose not to respond to Doris in any way, despite her repeated, supportive outreach.

As a matter of fact, we have not heard from you since July 2021. Rather than responding directly to us and letting us support you by finding a PR plan that best suits the needs of your business, you chose, instead, to leave us a nasty review a full three years later. Evidently, you have no interest in getting positive publicity for your business, only spreading negative slander about ours.

You state that our other 120 positive reviews are “fake.” Don’t take their word for it—or even my word for it—all you need to do is Google the names of the 120 people to date who have left 5-star reviews for my company and me, and you’ll find that these people are featured all over major media. Whether on TV, radio, podcasts, newspaper, print, or digital media, these individuals are now able to dominate their competition, emerge as a category of one, and serve at the highest level because they invested the time and money to gain visibility.

However you choose gain visibility for your business and brand, that’s up to you; if there’s one thing our clients recognize it’s that no business can survive in today’s economy and loud, crowded marketplace without a mix of marketing, advertising, and PR. On that note, I recommend that you price shop other Hollywood PR firms so that you’re better informed as to the pricing structure of similar services. Generally, they range from $5K to $25K per month with a six-month retainer. We choose to bill differently; we choose to offer our clients a one-time investment and teach them how to be their own PR firm for the life of their brand. Again, our clients results speak for themselves. Whether they’re featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Washington Post, The New York Times, NBC, CBS, Fox, ABC, Forbes, and more, their reputations precede them.

Needless to say, your review comes as a surprise to the team and me. I’m sorry that you felt this was the best way to proceed, rather than reaching out directly to our team to discuss any issues you might have had. My team and I will continue to focus our time and efforts on serving those who aim to make the biggest positive difference in the world, as it’s our honor and pleasure to help those amazing clients command the spotlight they deserve.

Cheryl and her team are masters at what they do.

Not only are they great teachers but the content of the program is second to none.

I paid $35,000 to a media company that did the work for me. I walked away with very little exposure and not knowing how to pitch to the media gatekeeper's.

With Cheryl’s program you get the knowledge and expert training to do it yourself for life.

Disappointing experience

The program promised significant media exposure but failed to deliver. While the knowledge and expertise offered was beneficial to helping build a brand, the actual media features were misleading and underwhelming. The media coverage provided was inferior to my existing media connections, offering no real benefit to myself or my company. In the initial interview I shared what I had already done and would have expected full disclosure that what I was getting was less than what I had.

For the substantial cost of the program, much more individual attention and genuine follow-through on the promise of major media exposure was expected. Instead, the program appeared to be a tool for upselling a longer, more expensive program. It is challenging to consider further investment when initial commitments were not honored. Overall, the program did not live up to its promises and was a disappointing use of resources.

Brandon, I’m confused, as you told a dramatically different story on your recorded exit interview on Nov. 27th 2023 with Coach Pericles from our team. In that exit interview you praised us, celebrated your accomplishments from working with us, and you made plans to work with us in the future.

Specifically, during that recorded Zoom session Coach Pericles asked you, “What are you celebrating today out of your participation in Magnify Your Message?"

You responded, "You know, the best part is just the kind of the exposure and the conversation and the language change that I've had for myself, because fundraising season for us is October, November, December. Last year we did $65,000 in fundraising, and we're at $160,000 this year…and a lot of that came from consistently sharing my message, you know, talking to the big donors...I’ve always had a good story. It was just never soundbites. It was never clearly defined. I could get lost in my message. Which is fine when you're doing an intake with a parent, but not whenever I'm fundraising and getting donations. This has completely changed my language and it's really made me understand...I mean, I was winging it before and, and...now that I have some actual, you know, solid information to go on. I'm, I'm really happy with that.”

Coach Pericles responded, "Congratulations on that. Really great work. Now, do you remember what life was like before you did Magnify Your Message?"

You responded, "You know, it was a lot of scrambling. I hired a person to do PR for me, and then I realized very quickly that she couldn't share the message like I could...she had the contacts, but all I was missing was knowing how to get the message out...you know, fine tune the language a little bit more specifically for what they're looking for."

Coach Pericles acknowledged you again. You replied, "This has made me understand how to leverage my previous media because...I can use this exposure that we have to create more.” You went on to say, “The area I feel the most growth has happened because I just didn't know what I didn't know! And, and now having this new understanding, it'll only get better! Because if you could see all the different pitches and all the different things I've got together on my computer and all the different messaging for the different people. I mean, I've got probably a hundred different new ways to message this. And I've got so many different contacts and people to reach out to. So I've got this huge list. It's a little bit overwhelming at the moment because one of those homework assignments was like, come up with like five major media and, and I stopped at like 60! I was like, I need to go to bed. I got lost in it because it was exciting."

After all your celebrating, and before your session completed, you and Pericles discussed what was next for you. He invited you into our graduate program, and you responded, “You know, it sounds perfect. I mean, this is exactly what I've been needing to do.” You and Pericles then scheduled a follow-up call for the following Monday, December 4, to discuss registering you into that program once you’d spoken with your accountant.

No one forced you to share that overwhelmingly positive testimony with us on your exit interview. If you were unhappy, you could have shared that at the time. Rather, you expressed satisfaction, excitement, and accomplishment. Given your unwavering praise during your recorded exit interview, I’m truly curious as to why you would contradict yourself so fully in this review to the point where you would disparage us, our work, and our time together. What happened, Brandon? Why the change of heart?

Beware of Misleading Practices and Lack of Professionalism

As the founder of Evolutionary Body System, my professional engagements often extend into diverse educational opportunities, particularly in PR and media, central for my business’s growth and visibility. Regrettably, my experience with Cheryl Hunter (Group), which promised to enhance these skills, was profoundly disappointing and distressing, falling drastically short of the professional standards expected from a course of its price and promises and of what I uphold in my own practice. Here's a breakdown of my experience:
1. Initial Expectations vs. Reality: I enrolled in this course with high hopes, informed by the course's advertised promises. Unfortunately, the course content and the conduct of the personnel did not live up to these expectations.
2. Issues with Professionalism and Respect: Early into the course, a member of the team chastised me about my external activities, which were unrelated to the course. This overreach was inappropriate and unprofessional, especially as these activities were personal and did not conflict with my participation in the course.
3. Handling of Personal Information and Bias: After sharing my background and aspirations in a required introductory letter, I felt targeted and singled out inappropriately, which was further exacerbated by comments made by Cheryl Hunter during a call, where she used her personal narrative in a way that felt manipulative rather than supportive.
4. Conflict and Lack of Support: The situation escalated when discussions about course expectations turned confrontational. Despite attempting to resolve these issues, the resolution offered was only superficial. Subsequent interaction reached a tipping point with a 30-minute public reprimand during a class session, which felt punitive and biased. This reprimand, though not directly naming me, unmistakably targeted my specific grievances regarding the courses restrictions on someone’s personal or professional media engagement opportunities. This reprimand served as a broader warning to all students, contributing significantly to my removal from the course.
5. Financial and Emotional Toll: After leaving the course due to these unresolved issues, my request for a refund of the $11K tuition was denied, despite only attending 1.5 weeks. The denial was based on grounds that felt unjust and inaccurately represented my participation and the events that transpired.
6. Concerns Over Authenticity of Reviews: Post-experience, the handling of feedback and reviews by the course provider has been concerning. My negative review led to the disabling of the review feature on another platform, followed by a surge of positive reviews on this platform, which raises questions about their authenticity.
7. Judicial Outcome and Advertising Discrepancies: Despite presenting comprehensive evidence in small claims court on 03/11/2024 detailing the issues and seeking a refund, the judgment did not rule in my favor. Intriguingly, the course provider’s stance in court was that they maintain a strict no-refund policy. However, recent advertising campaigns from Cheryl Hunter (Group) contradict this, openly offering a money-back guarantee, including additional monetary incentives for course trial run. This inconsistency between their courtroom declarations and marketing practices raises serious concerns about the integrity and reliability of their business practices.
Final Thoughts: I urge caution to prospective participants when considering Cheryl Hunter (Group). There exists a troubling discrepancy between advertised benefits of the course and the actual experience, coupled with the handling of disputes and feedback, suggest a business practice that prioritizes profit over genuine client support and transparency. More concerning, however, is the inconsistency in their approach to media engagement. While I was actively discouraged from utilizing media opportunities to support causes relevant to my expertise—specifically noted when I expressed a desire to advocate during the Gabby Petito case—I observed the course provider leveraging a similar situation for personal exposure during the 10th anniversary of the Elizabeth Smart case. The double standards and this very contradiction in policy versus practice was directly instrumental in escalating tensions, ultimately leading to my unjust removal from the course. Such practices raise serious questions about the provider's commitment to transparency and client support.

Ms. Trevino joined our course, but almost immediately refused to follow the course directives. We take pride in the effectiveness and quality of our course materials - and any deviation from the course can lead to negative results for our clients; the success of our clients is our main priority. As a result of our reminder to follow the course directives, Ms. Trevino removed herself from the course. We offered to allow her to restart the course, but she refused. Instead, she ultimately took the company to court -- and lost. Now, unfortunately, she is disgruntled by the judge's findings and has taken to TrustPilot to try and dissuade others from working with us. The curriculum was laid out very well. If you have not done this before your level of understanding and knowing what to do starts out being fairly mediocre.
They help you get past it with positive advisement. The leadership of Pericles is non pareil and the experience of Barbara and her directness in how to improve your presentation is highly valuable.

Ready to Work for It? Results are There if YOU are!

As a graduate of this program, I can testify to the fact that you will get out of this program every bit of the energy you put into this program. If you want coverage for nothing and the "chicks for free", you shouldn't pursue this program. But, if you are looking to delve deep into your are of interest and learn how to become a trusted source for media professionals to call upon, then this program will get you results. Again, ya gotta be willing to do the work. Don't let the 1 star reviews fool you, this isn't towels on Amazon...check out who is writing those 5 star reviews and you'll see people who have been featured in major media.

Omar, we’ve reviewed the entire recording of your Strategy Session and are clear that this was an attempt from *you* to dishonestly procure information from us.

We are not new to others in the marketing, publicity, and media fields booking up our Strategy Sessions in an attempt to gain valuable details of our proprietary information or methodology. This was one of those calls.

Whenever Coach Chris asked you questions so that he could provide insight and connect with you about how we may be able to solve your problem, you declined to answer. You wanted the details you wanted of us, only, and were unwilling to divulge details about yourself and your business that would allow Coach Chris to serve you.

You stated that you ‘have several other calls booked with other people’ and that you need to speak to them all as well; Coach Chris replied by suggesting that you do exactly that - do your due diligence, examine our competition - and then come back to us. We know we are the best at what we do, and that it will stand up against other competitors. My team and I have been helping people gain major media exposure for their businesses and brands for a long time. We are passion-driven individuals who are committed to helping our clients stand out from the competition so they can make the difference they were created to make. We were built upon the methodology that I personally created to gain billions of views for my own message, and we have hundreds of successful client stories that reflect the proof.

When you began to ply Chris for more information on our program and methodology, without answering his questions, Chris stated that he needed to first determine if you were the right fit to work with us - but, given you would be interviewing other companies and hadn't answered his questions, he again suggested you leave to complete your other calls and then come back for a complete and valuable Strategy Session. Since you were not ready to move forward with us, when Chris stated ‘it would be in your best interest’ to speak with the other companies first and then come back, you were “offended by that”. When Coach Chris apologized and stated that that was not his intention but rather his aim to be genuinely helpful, you responded “my bullshit meter is really high on this one here”.

Our Strategy Sessions provide incredible insight and clarity into what is not working in a business’s visibility, as well as the exact strategy that will solve the visibility problem...but we do not reveal our process to anyone who is not a client. You missed the value of the call in your motive to uncover our propriety methods, rather than utilizing all that the Strategy Session call provides. It is clear that you were seeking only the information you came to procure, and when you didn't succeed in your efforts you then became aggressive and upset, ultimately resulting in this review.

Chris made clear several times that if you were uncomfortable moving forward, he would be happy to end the call. You wanted to run the call the way you wanted, rather than allow Coach Chris to serve you - and then came to post this negative review designed to damage our reputation, when the reality is that we did everything in our power to provide you with a legitimate Strategy Session.

15 years of experience in your marketing industry should afford you the expertise to understand that we would know better than to reveal proprietary information to someone who is not fit to be working with us - and we had no way of even determining that, based on your choices in how you conducted yourself during your time with your coach.

We wish you the best of luck in your endeavors with reviewing and interviewing other companies. My team and I will continue to focus our time and efforts on connecting with the right people to work with us so that they can learn to utilize the power of major media to make the biggest positive difference in the world that they can.

A goldmine of training, connecting, and action

The information and training provided through this program helped me be concise in introducing myself and educating others about how I can provide value to them. The media training polished my ability to be on-camera looking professional and confident. The confidence gained has been tremendous - getting picked up by major media was the cherry on top! The program's focus on getting very clear on your core message actually causes success outside the program. And the knowledge gained will be used repeatedly as l am growing this company, any other company in the future, and even just my brand. I was uncomfortable putting the money into it; but, the long-term payoff is substantial and what I learned will serve me ongoingly.

Loved the membership modules and q&a call sessions. Helps you to think on the spot and be camera ready. Sure did help to get the major media exposure with in 60 days as promised. So thank you for that!! Just that on the very first Strategy session it would have been useful to know that the initial major media that we get is not intended to reach many people or will not help grow the clients right away. In the text message I was told that the audience reach is 2.4 Million but I didn't get any traffic to my website or any coaching signups. Also the companies advertisement does imply the same. So feeling a little bummed about that. But I do understand and have hope that the article initial media exposure I already got will help to springboard to getting more media as indicated by the coaches. Besides this overall good review!!.. Thank you for everything!!

Disappointed before it even started

Disappointed before it even started. Had a call with Chris.
For the first 40 min it went well as he was asking legitimate questions, some scripted pep talk. I’ve been around the block with life coaching and know how it’s done, however that part didn’t bother me. But he lost me when he expected my 16k commitment at that time or it was waste of his time attitude. I was really interested but told him that I need a day to do my diligence and read the reviews. He got pushy, agitated and reprimanded me for not doing it before the call as if I had to be ready to dish out 20k or 17k or 16k or whatever was on the script.
I am in a people business and when my clients tell me that a day to think is needed, my response is always “please do and let me know if you have any questions I am here for you”.
It never fails.

As you may have noticed, the overwhelming majority of our reviews are from happy, fulfilled clients - so we were eager to inspect your experience, as my team and I are committed to ensuring a quality experience and helpful session whether or not we end up taking you as a Client.

It seems, however, as though you may have had an ulterior motive for booking the call, to begin with; upon our internal quality assurance review, your call comes across as a vetting call, by you. Being one of the industry leaders in helping people get their message out to millions via major media has caused many of our competitors and people who believe ‘they know how it’s done’ to book one of our valuable Strategy Sessions purely to try and gain insight on our methodology and proprietary information.

While that may not have been your full intent, after we conducted our Strategy Session with you, we invited you in to become a Client - and on multiple occasions you actually **praised** Chris for doing a good job, and requested to hear more. It wasn’t until we provided you the finite, proprietary details about the offer that you took a sharp turn and cited that you needed ‘a day or so to mull it over’.

Chris, of course, attempted to dive in and determine what he could provide to help add insight, background details, and research information about us - and you proceeded to be combative, not answer his questions, and ultimately hang up the call…and then came here to leave a negative review.

Please understand: that we do not reveal our proprietary details to anyone who is not a client. Whatever your motives were for booking the call, you missed the value of the call by only wanting to know the fiscal details on how we get amazing outcomes for our clients, rather than utilizing all that the call provides. While our Strategy Sessions provide insight and clarity into what is not working in a business’s visibility, as well as the exact strategy that will solve the visibility problem - major media is not for everyone.

We have to thoroughly ensure that any potential client has a problem we can solve, is media-worthy, and is a fit for how we can solve that problem with them. You stated on the call that you were committed, decisive, coachable, and resourceful — and wanted to proceed — but once the offer was given, you were suddenly no longer committed, decisive, coachable, and resourceful. The more Chris tried to understand what you needed, the more combative you became.

It’s quite clear that your review is designed to reveal information intended only for those we make an offer to, and ultimately attempt to do damage to our reputation. I’m sorry that you felt this was the best way to proceed, rather than reaching out directly to our team to discuss further how you felt about your call with Chris. We will continue to serve those who aim to make the biggest positive difference in the world, as it’s our honor and pleasure to help those amazing clients command the spotlight they deserve.
