I had an idea for an app for several years but absolutely no idea how to make it happen. All I had was a lot of passion and 2 sides of a 8-1/2 by 11 piece of paper with my idea scribbled on it when I found IdeaPros! Now my app is in the development stage! I was trying to develop/market my ‘idea’ on my own. Filed patent applications, created a prototype, made the rounds with a few companies I thought might be interested or could help me out, attended ‘new product’ trade shows and the like and ultimately determined the venture was worth pursuing after receiving sufficient positive feedback. Probably could have avoided doing a bunch of that had I known then what I know now, but regardless, it had become abundantly clear that it wasn’t going to be anywhere near as easy or as simple as some people would lead you to believe.

I also recognized that there was no easy path to go it alone. It was clear that the most important thing I needed to find was someone who believed in what I was trying to do, someone I could trust, someone capable, and someone who had *both* our best interests at heart.

Somewhere along the line I found IdeaPros, a bit of back and forth and the following week I was in San Diego at a boardroom table with Fred and his cast of smart and talented people. Two days later we cut a deal that seemed fair enough; they made a commitment to getting the best version of my product to market, I made a meaningful financial commitment to the project, they took their equity stake, a pile of their own money, their expertise, their industry contacts and rolled up their sleeves and began to make it happen.

Without getting too long-winded, their approach as a ‘venture partner’ is novel, collaborative, and responsive...while at the same time, they are still perfecting and proving out their model. Obviously not all of the ‘partner’ inventions will find grand commercial success, but the measured process IdeaPros employs undoubtedly offers new ideas/products a *real* chance at being suitably developed for market penetration.

I’m excited. There has never been a better business environment for inventors to have a good chance for success. Innovation has been embraced, anyone can start small, ideas can grow, and you don’t necessarily have to work with a large corporation or have a friend-of-a-friend in the business to scale up. We’re now able to go direct-to-consumer to compete with, or attract the attention of, the ‘bigger players’ by many different means of strategic engagement.

At any rate, we are just over four months in. Thus far, my product idea has been competitively vetted, consumer surveyed, re-branded, modified and enhanced. It is now in the hands of the IdeaPros design and engineering teams and getting closer to becoming a product that’s ready for market. Still a long ways to go for sure, but its come a long ways already, swiftly and assuredly.

If I could sum up what IdeaPros offers, I’d say this; they are committed to taking your idea and turning it into a product. And while it’s not necessarily any easier to ‘sell’ a product than it is an idea, the ‘value’ of a product will always be greater than that of an idea alone. For me, the opportunity to turn my idea into something of greater value, and to have good people doing good things along with me, looks to be the right choice.

I rate IdeaPros 5 stars for what they’ve done to this point, for doing what they said they’d do, and for elevating my expectations of where we can take this. There’s still a long road ahead, and we’re still getting to more fully know one another, but I expect they will continue to earn this rating (should they not, I’ll amend the rating and disclose why). I’ll keep you posted.

I engaged with Idea Pros for a possible partnership after looking at their website and videos. The people running the company have good resumes and experience. I was contacted by a consultant quickly and he seemed very energetic in explaining their process and how I had to apply to be selected by their internal committee. He was up front in telling me any partner had to come to the table with significant financial commitment to be selected so he advised me to make my application a "good one" with as much money as I could contribute. From our discussion, I thought this was about $15,000. As a follow-up to our discussion and before wasting anyone's time with an application, I looked at their reviews (as suggested) and read more industry articles on how to vet partners in this space. In looking at the reviews, most were happy to be working with them, but I didn't read any success stories of people actually making money and this concerned me. I sent their consultant some basic concerns and questions, such as if he worked on commission, what was the success rate of their launched products, and how much of their company revenues came from selling services to inventors compared to actually making money on their equity share from royalties. It seems to me these would be important to anyone vetting a company. I didn't hear back until almost two weeks later and the tone of the conversation changed a little. I didn't and still don't have the answers to my questions, but I was asked where I got the questions from, which puzzled me. I was told my questions were referred to someone else in the company, which again puzzled me because I would think this would be readily available to any person working in the company - even just the part if the consultant worked on commission. In our conversation, the consultant was very professional, but more direct. I gave an example that if I had $30,000 to contribute and the consultant chimed in, made a "whew" noise and said they wouldn't "touch" someone for under $50,000 and they routinely rejected products of people with $100,000. Then I asked that if 100 people came to them with products with $100,000, what percentage would they make an offer of partnership. The consultant told me 1% or only 1 out of those 100 people (with $100,000 to invest) would be given an offer of partnership. I thanked him for his time and told him I'd think about it. I felt bad I wasted his time because I never would have wasted his or my time in discussions if I knew $50,000 was a baseline investment with them, so I sent an email saying I wouldn't be a right fit because of the $50,000 requirement. I also stated I'd be leaving a review about our interactions. This time I received an immediate return email stating there was some "miscommunication" in that they will do deals for as little as $25,000 for the right product and person. I would just recommend anyone to investigate any company's success rate, where they get the majority of their revenues from (is it the inventor's fees?), and if their people are paid on commission. I would have to get answers to my questions and investigate Idea Pros much more thoroughly before partnering with them, but this isn't worth the time because I'm not ready to invest $25,000 - $50,000 at this point. I'm going to educate myself more on the industry and see if licensing is a better channel for me.

My partner and I have been working with Ideapros for about a year on my app called Tote delivery, Everything was going famously until it came time to build our app. My partner and I came into financial trouble when it came time to build our app, It was going to be either pay our bills or get Tote developed. In response to this Ideapros told us they were willing to develop the app for us and we could pay them monthly payments when it was more financially convenient for us. They even substantially lowered the payment amount we would pay when the time came and we were able. This is the value of having Ideapros as a partner, They truly care about each project and more importantly they truly care about people and it is reflected in every interaction we have ever had with them.

January 5th 2019:

I recently signed with IdeaPros! I hope to have an innovative and exciting health and wellness product on the market by September 2019. If there is anything you take away from my review, it is this;
Mr. Frederick Cary and Mike Calonni are honest, hardworking, stand up business men. If you are a full-time worker who aspires to be an inventor or innovator, you couldn't ask for more. Their integrity, honesty, and business sense is second to none.
They have set up a talented team, have established strong business relationships and are determined to help make as many great Ideas become a reality, as possible. Mr. Cary and Mr. Calonni have leveraged their reputations, decades of experience in business, and their network of business contacts to make IdeaPros what it is today. I have nothing but respect for what they do and hope my project adds to their impressive resume.
Everyone at IdeaPros is mindful of how important their reputation is for success and it shows through their kindness, professionalism and hard work.
I spent almost 3 years looking for a team like IdeaPros to co-found my company with... They are looking for partners on a global scale, NOT clients.
I am excited to work and learn with them (while keeping my day job). If you have a great Consumer or Commercial Product or App Idea; look no further.

My Journey:
Like most people reading this review, I have constantly dreamt and planned to start my own business.
My wife and I both work full-time and we are busy raising our 3 amazing kids.
My plans have always stayed in the realm of "If I had a million dollars..."
Three years ago that changed; when I "Saw a need, and knew I could fill it."

Preparation + Opportunity = Luck

I sketched up multiple designs, did my own market research, estimated my costs, developed a business plan, and created a pitchdeck. I knew I couldn't launch this product without professional help, so I spent nearly 6 months looking for a company or business partner to help get my idea to market.

Thoughts + Confidence = Action

I contacted almost a dozen "patent help" companies (most of them practice unethical sales tactics.) "You get what you pay for", and began to network with as many businessmen as I could.
None of the companies or people I connected with where trustworthy, interested, and/or capable enouph to persue serious business relationships with. For over 2 years I shelved my idea. Hoping to someday find someone to help start my company as Co-founder.
Just over 6 months ago I came across IdeaPros. I spent days looking into thier business, reviews, and profiles. I decided to submit a simple description of my idea and a few days later I got a call from my Bussiness Advisor, Justin.
At first I treated Justin like all of my previous contacts. I shared only the basic business concept and the market opportunity I believe my product possess and I explained that I had numerous design solutions and was eager to work with a partner to get my product to market.
Justin then explained Idea Pros' business model, what my roll and responsibility would be on the project (and eventualy MY company), and my financial contribution necessary to begin development.
Justin had alot of great questions about my idea and I was so impressed with his answers to mine. It wasn't more than an hour and I knew that this was the partner I was looking for. I submitted my Business Plan and Pitch Deck to him later that afternoon (Something I hadn't shown any other contacts before).
Justin guided me through the application process and he presented my proposal to the board for their consideration. I was so happy my idea received a partnership offer! I suspect less than 1% of applicants receive an offer. (Don't let that dissuade you from applying)
Unfortunately my financial contribution requirements in the offer sheet where out of my reach... I explained this to Justin and was surprised at how understanding he was. He always spoke to me as a business partner, never as a salesman. He re-affirmed our Non-Disclosure Agreement and that when I raised my portion we could start the project and he hoped to hear from me when I was ready.

Ethics + Communication = Trust

6 months of hard work and determination has paid off! I found a business partner, who I trust, to help finance our project and we both flew out to San Diago to meet Mr. Frederick Cary and his team in person. It was great to be able to introduce ourselves face to face.
Everyone at IdeaPros is very welcoming and professional. They where just as interested to know who we are as we where to learn about them. The people they partner with is just as important to the success of the company as the Idea. If there is one thing I learned in our visit, it's that IdeaPros is looking for honest, open-minded, and passionate partners to work with.

If you succeed they succeed.

I have learned so much already, I can only imagine what the next 12 months will bring. Now the real work begins!

1. Have a good Idea that is scaleable.
2. Be passionate and knowledgable about your idea.
3. Be prepared to invest in your idea.
4. Be ready to work with the best in the business.
5. Be willing to learn and grow.

They are extremely informative as well as reaffirming. I also went out and bought the book Justin recommended. It was a fantastic read. It clearly has had a lot of influence on your business model and team. I am excited to apply what I have already learned.
I would also like to recognize my Project Manager, Kevin Nguyen. It has been a pleasure working with him, he is as inthusiastic and diligent about this project as I am. He has consistently exceeded my expectations. I am extremely grateful for all his hard work. I am reviewing his latest submittal and we should be moving onto the next phase of development sometime next week.

Even though I have worked with them for a short time, I could tell immediately this group knows what they are doing. They have a ton of real world experience. Professional and geniunely interested in what I am trying to accomplish with my invention. Best part is they are transparent. Of course they want to make a profit. We all do. But they are different then other consultants and investor portals. They are upfront on disclosures and explain the program in detail. No surprises or tricks. Startups are a tricky business, so getting the right group to help you, is key. Happy with Ideapros and you will too.

I have been contacted by a few different "companies" wanting to make my product come to life, but the trust was NOT THERE FOR ME, THE PEOPLE WERE SO PUSHY THAT IT SEEMED WRONG, AND THEY WERE VERY UN PROFESSIONAL AS WELL!!!
WHEN I BEGAN RESEARCHING A GOOD COMPANY THAT I COULD REALLY trust, one that could possibly be my true to life partners, that's when I finally found IDEAS PRO!
WHEN KEN, FIRST CALLED ME, WE SPOKE FOR I D SAY, ALMOST 45 MINS, AND DURING THAT ENTIRE CONVERSATION, he was 100% listening to my idea for my product that I am very, very passionate about! He was also so amazing at explaining how ideas pro works and what I loved the most was that he wasn't there to pardon my french, " kiss my a**!" He was there to actually interview me, to get an idea of who I truly was as a person, as an entrepreneur...then once that was established, it was then he was ready to truly great about all the details and all the actual long days i d put in on researching my product!! I was so impressed by them, that when we hung up the phone, I felt a HUGE SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT AS WELL AS A FEELING THAT THIS COULD BE IT!! THESE people WERE THE ONES I WAS READY TO TRUST WITH MY LIFE BC MY PRODUCT IS MY LIFE ( SECOND TO MY CHILDREN AND HUSBAND OF COURSE)!! My belief in my product is a huge 10 for me!! I am sure it's something very necessary to be made for sale and asap!!

I had an idea. I had an idea that I believed in that I thought had enormous potential, but I did not know how to make it real. When I found IdeaPros I thought, if anyone can help me do this, it's them. The combined experience, knowledge, connections, and innovation of this team are unmatched; there really is nothing like them.

At first, I thought it was too good to be true. What they outlined as their contribution in the partner agreement was so far beyond anything I had expected that I had to go see for myself. My husband and I flew to San Diego to a very warm welcome, we met a lot of the team members and had detailed discussion and Q&A with Michael and Fred that left us knowing that these guys are the real deal. We cannot believe how fortunate we are to have found IdeaPros.

We are only four months into the project, so we have a way to go, but so far they have nailed it on every deliverable they committed to. They initiate communication every few weeks to keep me updated and in the loop and are always amazingly responsive whenever I have a question or concern. They make sure we all agree at every step before moving on to the next. I know with certainty that I would not be able to pull this off with any success comparable to that we expect from working with IdeaPros. I don’t have the technical knowledge, the marketing skills, the manufacturing know-how or the contacts. Seriously, people, this is the dream team, and when they are willing to take on your dream, you are very fortunate indeed.
