The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Energy is the EU funding programme to implement the Trans-European Networks for Energy policy. It aims at supporting investments in building new cross-border energy infrastructure in Europe or rehabilitating and upgrading the existing one.
The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Transport is the funding instrument to realise European transport infrastructure policy. It aims at supporting investments in building new transport infrastructure in Europe or rehabilitating and upgrading the existing one.
The CEF Digital portion is managed by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).

Featured Projects
In the European Union, a harmonised and synchronised ITS plays a crucial role in improving cross-border traffic and transport. With over €32 million in funding from the CEF Transport programme, ITS is helping to improve traffic management and foster cooperation in Central Europe.
A new fleet of Parisian taxis is helping improve the air quality in the French capital by driving hydrogen-fuelled cars. As part of the Hydrogen Fuel for Paris project, a network of up to eight hydrogen refuelling stations will be setup across the Paris metropolitan area.
Drivers across Europe will soon be able to recharge their electric cars, vans, and trucks across the Trans-European Transport Network, making long-distance travel by electric vehicles more convenient. Leaders in Europe’s e-mobility sector are building a pan-European network of charging points.
