Networking Meeting – Key challenges to upscaling nature restoration in the EU – learning from LIFE experience

This online meeting will showcase the experience of fifteen LIFE-funded projects implementing ecosystem restoration across the European Union. In particular, this event will focus on exploring and discussing successful solutions to three strategic subjects that are key for upscaling nature restoration projects: ‘transfer of knowledge and building capacity’, ‘access to land’ and ‘mobilising other sectors’,

The meeting will feature presentations from a broad and diverse range of concrete restoration projects. It will also foster discussions centered around practical solutions for overcoming challenges associated to the implementation and upscaling of nature restoration projects. The event will also explore how to balance local specificity with large-scale restoration, and aims to formulate concrete recommendations that can guide future restoration practices and policy development across the European Union and support large-scale restoration efforts in line with the EU Nature Restoration Regulation.
