GIND's BIO DILE™ joint filler: produces less waste and lasts longer!
A money-saving, more circular alternative to cement for roads!
GIND is an innovative company dedicated to developing sustainable and long-lasting solutions for road surfaces and outdoor spaces. It has produced the BIO DILE™ joint filler which replaces traditional, resource-intensive and short-lived materials with more environmentally-friendly alternatives that offer greater durability and reduced environmental impact.
The joint filler supports the green transition by minimising resource consumption and cutting CO2 emissions. It also helps manage storm water effectively: unlike impermeable paving materials, GIND’s permeable paving systems allow rainwater to be absorbed into the ground, reducing the risk of flooding and easing the pressure on urban infrastructure.
Cement is one of the most resource-heavy and CO2-emitting construction materials, so a viable alternative is very helpful. GIND's products extend the lifespan of roads and public spaces and enable more resource-efficient construction and maintenance. They do this by using recycled sun-dried stone aggregates and bio-based binders derived from cashew nut shells and natural asphalt. At the end of the filler's lifecycle, it can be fully recycled into asphalt.
- GIND's products significantly extend the life of natural stone pavements. This means that natural stone (which lasts more than 100 years) can be used instead of asphalt (which needs to be replaced every 7-10 years).
- Maintaining and replacing sand or cement joints is expensive; this filler allows for significant savings.
