Position: Financial Management Services Staff

This position seeks an individual who works for a Home and Community Based Services enrolled Financial Management Service (FMS) provider. This position exists to consult and collaborate with the Department of Human Services on the development and implementation of Community First Services and Supports (CFSS), a program that will replace Personal Care Assistance (PCA) and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG). Qualified applicants should have knowledge and understanding of the PCA program, the proposal for CFSS and have basic knowledge of the Medicaid system. Applicants should be able to collaborate with various stakeholders on the development and implementation of the new program. Applicants should have a passion for promoting self-direction and working to enhance and improve the quality of services as the program is developed and implemented. Interested individuals who are black, indigenous and/or people of color (BIPOC) are encouraged to apply. Preferred applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders to advance ideas and bring forth concerns that impact successful program development. Applicants will be asked to provide a statement of interest describing their qualifications and interest to serve in this position. Professional applicants are encouraged to provide a statement of interest and resume; for individuals who receive services or support someone receiving services a resume is optional. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply by October 24th. Appointments will be made by the Commissioner of the Department of Human Services on or around January of 2023 and terms last 3 years.

The person in this position must commit to attending council meetings which are held on a quarterly basis, four (4) times per year. Meetings will be held either virtually or at DHS central offices, either at 540 Cedar Street in St. Paul or at 444 Lafayette Rd N in St. Paul. Meetings will be held on a week day, for between one and-a-half hours to two hours. Meetings will be scheduled between the hours of 9am and 3pm. Both a virtual and a call in option will be offered for members to attend when they are not able to join the meetings in person.
